How about when he does some actual Detective work and saves everybody an extra hour. I saw the film and it was definitely too long. Get the carpet info as soon as they catch Riddler, check under the carpet, realise there's a whole third hour about to happen, stop it and save the city without hundreds if not thousands of people drowning and massive property damage (since Gotham is meant to be on par with the likes of New York he definitely did not save everybody at the end when leading them to safety).
What really should’ve happened is they should’ve found Riddler’s “secret hideout” immediately after the first murder because he sent them pictures that he took *through the window of said hideout.* All they had to do was go to the Iceberg Lounge, look up at the surrounding buildings, and go, ”okay, so which one of these windows was he in when he took this photo? Pattinson himself said that he would sometimes involuntarily slip into Christian Bale’s Batman voice while filming because it’s so iconic. Love or hate the voice, he’s right.
@@windowsVD My favorite is Pattinson, but I love Bale's voice as well. It's iconic for sure. Not a fan of using a voice modulator as it hides emotions.
@@Abhi-wh3ik Bale is my favorite, although he benefits a lot from having a better written character in my opinion. I don’t love the voice modulator either but mostly because it feels like cheating. It pretty much makes it so that Affleck didn’t have to put as much care into crafting his voice and performance as Batman when it’s the sound editors who are playing a huge role in creating the voice. It felt an over-correction from Snyder in response to some of the backlash against Bale’s voice.
@@windowsVD I like both Pattinson and Bale. Although, I think Pattinson was a better written Batman, and Bale was a better Bruce, and a more developed character. I personally don't like anything about Affleck's Batman, except maybe the suit. I don't think any care, or attention was put into the source material. Snyder was more focused to make him more 'edgy', and as differentiable from Bale as possible. They could've handed him a black jacket & guns, and he would've just as well be passed on as Punisher. His characterization couldn't have been more off.
@@Abhi-wh3ik I can see that to an extent. I think Pattinson's version does a better job of conveying the idea that the Batman persona is who Bruce Wayne really is. In the Nolan films, it's stated but it felt like they never fully committed to conveying that, so the real Bruce Wayne with Bale's portrayal always felt like somewhere in between his Batman persona and his public Bruce Wayne persona. However, I found Pattinson's Batman very underwritten in terms of his moral code and ideology. We're told towards the end that he doesn't kill, but it's never elaborated why nor why he doesn't use guns. If anything, given how brutal and unhinged this Batman is in his early years, it would have made a lot more sense for him not to have a no-killing rule and the movie could have been about him learning for himself why he can't take a life without ever crossing that line, similar to Daredevil in his first season. I like Batfleck's fight scenes and I thought Ben actually did a good job at least in Batman v. Superman. Even though I hated the way his character was written, I bought Ben Affleck in the role as an older more cynical and unhinged Batman who kills people. That being said, I didn't think his performance was any good in either versions of Justice League. He's quite boring as a more traditional and moral Batman, although he didn't have much to work with.
Quite interesting that Robert Pattinson’s batman voice sounds a lot like hishe’s Batman ‘s voice, which is a perfect match for his voice to be so badass in the film.
01:57. Proving yet again, that while the Batman's chin is iconic, the fact that it leaves him wide open to a tactical weakness is pretty obvious. Also, I LOVE that you went ALL OUT on the entire obvious damage that it would leave behind. :)
Also somehow he wasn't unmasked by the police immediately. They even brought to him to the police station and not the hospital after suffering an explosion to the face.
@@alanfoxman5291 To be fair, stuff being possible cause "He is Batman" has always been a running joke, is it possible they started it? Possibly. It'd be interesting to see where it originated from.
@@nikolaspapanagnou2723 Yeah, they should've done one of those alternate endings with Riddler in the villain pub after his followers killed the Mayor or something.
Loved the ending joke about people freaking out about Batman saying "I don't like to eat cats" (it's a reference to a scene with Batman and Catwoman DC wouldn't let them make in season 3 of Harley Quinn, I think)
I'm really hoping that they save the Joker for the third movie so they have someplace left to go villain-wise. As great as Nolan's trilogy was, Bane is 100% a step down from the Joker. It would make the most sense to have the next movie feature the Penguin teaming up with another villain, such as Poison Ivy. When you consider how much Gotham was messed up by the flood, it would actually line up perfectly for the story.
i don’t think poison ivy would mesh super well with the world of The Batman since everything in that movie is a lot more grounded than the rest of the DCEU, if it’s even in it, and poison ivy is one of batman’s more outlandish villains because she’s one of the few with actual super powers
I feel we're being oversaturated with the Joker. Try something new or reinvent an old villain, the director even said he wants to try and give Mr. Freeze another shot.

Lmao the best part was Superman floating down to ask Bruce what he's doing when Bruce was peeping on Selina 😆 the reactions were great Lol loved that the burn scars stayed on for 3 more scenes for consistency sake 😆 those scenes were great
I like how you touched on the Alfred opening up the bomb. I was almost yelling at the movie that Alfred has seen the evidence before, is a trained mi6 operative, and it’s like hero 101 that anything that is covered in punctuation is obviously from a bad guy!
I'll be honest, Superman's campy bright blue and red against The Batman's dark grungy aesthetic actually works so well! I know people want to keep The Batman isolated in it's own grounded universe, but there is so much potential for a brand new Superman that's bright and optimistic that can play oppositive Pattinson's Batman, even if it's just those two characters--- I'm not even concerned for a new DC Universe or anything, just a new Superman that feels just as well thought out and loved by its filmmakers as this new Batman did
When Gollum's voice came out of Alfred I lost it lmao. One of the best HISHEs in a while! I think this was the first Batman movie I actually enjoyed. I like how DC movies in general like to have fun with suspension of disbelief sometimes (its still a superhero character dressed like a bat lmao), like with the bomb to the face, glider, and that one time one of the mini-Riddlers shot him in the chest. Even with that fancy armor it should probably have screwed up his organs from the impact alone lmao. Great point with the letter though, that's probably the biggest plot hole I've noticed tbh.
To be fair, he did block his face with both arms a frame or two before the bomb goes off. So while his organs would still be screwed, his face wouldn’t necessarily be burned.
Missed opportunity to reference Twilight, when the car with the bomb-strapped hostage is coming towards a kid and Bruce saves him. I was hoping you'd have him stop the car with his palm like Edward did to save Bella. Lol

Damn I was expecting a joke of how Vengeance magically teleported to his batmobile without being noticed. Or how the cops were trying to arrest/kill him for punching Gordon, then they totally forgot that happened in the rest of the movie.
I think the cops that where trying to arrest him where corrupt cops and the ones at the end where good because Gordon says something like "not everyone works for you"
I'm pretty sure Batman is known as "the Batman" to the public (on the news) but he calls himself "Vengeance" to the criminal underworld, as a symbollic way of saying he was created by the felons who murder innocents.
Tbf, in the movie when the bomb explodes and sends Batman flying, we can see in the slow-mo that he put both his arms in front of his face to protect that area. And since we know the suit is bullet and eletricity proof, makes sense that his face wasn't damaged

I like how their still using Christian Bale's voice for this
Pattinson himself said that he would sometimes involuntarily slip into Christian Bale’s Batman voice while filming because it’s so iconic.
The fridge door being open the entire time in the scene where Batman is in Selina’s apartment bugged me too, glad I wasn’t the only one 🤣🤣🤣

Nolan would have had the Joker in the third movie if Ledger had survived.
i don’t think poison ivy would mesh super well with the world of The Batman since everything in that movie is a lot more grounded than the rest of the DCEU, if it’s even in it, and poison ivy is one of batman’s more outlandish villains because she’s one of the few with actual super powers
Mr. Freeze will supposedly be the main villain of the next movie
I feel we're being oversaturated with the Joker. Try something new or reinvent an old villain, the director even said he wants to try and give Mr. Freeze another shot.
I'm really hoping there is no sequel to this movie. I just... didn't enjoy it. Would rather Snyder's Justice League II happens with Batfleck.

Ikr. But maybe Alfred was drunk?
In a WB trailer, Bruce and Alfred argue with Alfred not hurt, not in danger, wearing a suit. I think they did re shoots, edits.
@@DavidLLambertmobile probably. I just found it a huge plot hole that Alfred would have this gigantic leap in poor judgment
I'll be honest, Superman's campy bright blue and red against The Batman's dark grungy aesthetic actually works so well! I know people want to keep The Batman isolated in it's own grounded universe, but there is so much potential for a brand new Superman that's bright and optimistic that can play oppositive Pattinson's Batman, even if it's just those two characters--- I'm not even concerned for a new DC Universe or anything, just a new Superman that feels just as well thought out and loved by its filmmakers as this new Batman did
I feel like this would work best if Superman was less OP.

When Gollum's voice came out of Alfred I lost it lmao. One of the best HISHEs in a while! I think this was the first Batman movie I actually enjoyed. Even with that fancy armor it should probably have screwed up his organs from the impact alone lmao.
Great point with the letter though, that's probably the biggest plot hole I've noticed tbh.

@@bencheveryday It's also reference to when HISHE did a vid on The Batman teaser & instead of Alfred Gollum was there.
