HIT THE BELL & TELL A FRIEND ABOUT ME
#LynyrdSkynyrd #TuesdaysGone #Rock - Розваги
"is there such a thing as soul rock?"
yea. it's called southern rock
I didn’t scroll down far enough we wrote the exact same thing!! Lol he was close when he said soul rock..
My thought exactly.
Absolutely... Southern Rock is a mixture of rock and blues.
Its called "blues" .
100% correct.
I am a huge Skynyrd fan and this is one of those songs that if I''ve just pulled into a parking lot and am ready to go in a store or whatever I don't do it until the song finishes.
100 freaking percent. They've got about a dozen I've done that to.
Me too I just love there blues music and they also did some country music to. They were such a great successful Band.
It was a sad day in music and other things when their plane crashed and several of them died!
R.I.P. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Tuesday is a girls name. Met a girl named Tuesday Wells. She was named after the actress. Just a young and abused girl. She is gone now . This song strikes me hard.
A friend and I were celebrating on a hill in the country, in the car. We had gotten tickets to their concert, when news broke into a song on the rock station we were listening to. The news was, their plane had just crashed, and there were confirmed casualties. That's all we got at that time. Put a real damper on the rest of that Friday night.
@@royalway12 I can imagine. I learned about them because of my parents I was born in 70 so any music I know from the older days is from parents and aunts and uncles!
@@PurpleDragonGuy1 You were fortunate to be raised well like that.
I was in high school when it happened. I remember on the evening news the reporter said "All the survivors have been taken to area hospitals. They are removing bodies now" I thought that was the saddest thing I had ever heard
I saw them in 1974 at the Georgia Jam along with the Allman Brothers and Charlie Daniels. Probably one of the most memorable days of my teenage years.
Wow! I bet that was amazing 🤩
Lucky you!!! Has to have been amazing!!
I wish I would of been there 😕
omg, Cindy Conner-I can only imagine what that concert would have been like. So happy for you that you got to see that!
So lucky. The crash was a year before I was born.
Lynyrd Skynyrd is southern rock and there's definitely quite a bit of soul in it!
Southern Rock or even Folk Rock.. kinda about the same thing in my opinion. ;)
If it touches your soul, must be soul rock?
Lol....there are women named Tuesday...i.e. Tuesday Weld, an actress
yup. rock and metal have almost indefinite sub-genres. sometimes you can put a single band's album on 5 different subs
It's actually known as Southern Fried Rock, a transitional genre from coumtry/blues to Rock.
The joy and envy of witnessing someone experience and fully appreciate this song for the first time. I remember being a kid, this song would make my hairs stand on end, so good. Thanks for dusting off this gem!
I can't listen to Skynyrd without crying because my Dad introduced me to this incredible band at an early age. I lost my Daddy before his 60 th birthday and this was his favorite band.
Yeah... It was pretty moving when we got to the part about his wife pressing her mom's boyfriend for a completion date on the porch... Great story, but I must have been too high to catch that part, back in my teens. 🙄😉
I think that is off of their studio album but I'm not sure if they have all those extra instruments when they performed live but they were still good
As amazing as Skynyrd is-the band “TOOL” 🔧 does the very same to me.
Skynyrd is one of those bands like CCR, you just can't help but love them. When you write songs from the heart like Ronnie did, they become immortal!
So sad that we got so few CCR albums. :-(
Ronnie Van Zant lead singer Billie Powell on piano
its good to hear young people listing to music outside of there comfort zone . Tuesdays gone is about a real person , all old songs were based on real life experiences . not just a good beat and easy to dance to LOL . Cheers and let the music be the food of love , Play on , Play on.
The Lead singer's name is Ronnie Van Zant, the heart and soul of Skynyrd!!!
My favorite voice in rock. TO THIS DAY!
And as far as I'm concerned the band died when Ronnie died he was the band!
@@teresafaulkner7773 facts
Lynyrd Skynyrd best damn band hands down. Everyone can relate to their music.
My Daddy always said "We Don't Know What We Know, Until We Experience IT" Man I Miss My Daddy God Rest His Soul 🥰
I know how you feel girl. I miss my sweet daddy too! 😢
Same, guys. 💕He introduced me to such great music like this.. My childhood ♥️ I was so blessed to have a father with such a great soul n love for good music like this.*sigh* Love you sm dad. Miss you ...until we meet again. 1 & A 1/2 Years ....and forever to go😭😩
Six musicians, piano, drummer, bass, three lead guitars and singer Ronnie Van Sant. Lynyrd Skynyrd's music will outlive us all...
Southern Rock is a mix of the blues, metal, gospel, and country music. It is a wonderful music stew.
Billy Powell and his ever present Grand Piano…even live! Classic LS!
I love the live Winterland performance where he plays the piano and a Hammond B3 on the solo...epic!
The lead singer is Ronnie Van Zant. This is considered Southern Rock. It takes alot of inspiration from Blues music, which also orginated in the south.
Most of all modern country, is now southern rock. Hard drums, driving guitars. Skynrd, Blackfoot, Marshall Tucker Band, they were the groundbreakers.
That's what makes music great, I couldn't name one musician that wasn't inspired/influenced in some way from others before them, and not one of them would sway away from articulating their influence, as you see in any expose on any musician.
Point is, human nature. We learn and find inspiration from others around us, destructive, or positive, father, mother, anyone, it's human nature as a simplistic explanation
@@royalway12 don't forget the Allmans!
@@royalway12 southern rock, country is different George Strait talked about this in Murder On Music Row
That's southern rock man most of it comes from the soul
It's called southern style rock & roll, my friend 🎶🎵 🎸 And yes it is deeply soulful.
Tuesday is a woman. There is a line in the song "Tuesday you see, well she had to be free." You had your eyes closed and were air drumming when that line dropped. There is a famous, albeit older, actress named Tuesday Weld but she is not who the song is about. More Skynyrd: Call Me The Breeze, Whiskey Rock A Roller, That Smell and I Know A Little to name just a few.
Tuesday Weld, same name comes to me when i hear this song.
All theses years and never thought about Tuesday being a woman.
Tuesday Weld, born in 1943, began acting at age 12. In 1962 she was supposedly romantically involved with Elvis.
Free bird
Van would love Call Me the Breeze!
Im a lifelong Skynyrd fan. The singer (and main songwriter) is Ronnie Van Zant. He wrote this song about his divorce as a young man. It's his sad feelings as he walked out of the door. Just a fantastic song and one of about 20 that are classics to this day. Just timeless. Even though they were huge in their day, Skynyrd is still a criminally underrated band. Along with the Allman Brothers and Creedence, they are one of greatest American bands in history. Talent in every direction.
I love a song that makes me feel like I’ve been to Church!
This track was in heavy rotation on DC FM stations after the 9/11 attacks. That was a Tuesday, it was a morning. It just somehow fit. A lot of people were in pain, disbelief. The mournful tone worked for a many listeners.
I tear up every time I hear a Skynrd song. This was my Daddy's favorite band and an appreciation for good music was something he shared with me from an early age. I miss him every day.
Cryin right now for the exact same reason 😢
Musically, I believe this is the most beautiful song ever written. When that piano solo ends and the orchestra kicks in, it gets me every time.
Thanks for this man. I needed this. Haven't heard this for a couple years. Started crying. Brought back memories of my sister who died. The best is to take your family to a park and watch the sunset with Skynyrd playing in the background. Thanks again man
i send virtual hugs... but sincere and real condolences.
@@selectronium thank you. It does mean a lot.
I also send many virtual hugs. I lost my baby brother in 2006.
When Mama brought him home from the hospital and put him in his crib, I put my hands on the side and lifted myself on my tip toes to see him. I turned to my Mama and told her "He's my baby too". I meant that whole heartedly and took care of him, feeding him, changing diapers, yes even the worst smelling ones, and played with him. Taught him things and protected him from the bullies growing up, even when he was wrong. I would literally go toe to toe with the older boys when they picked on him. One even took a swing at me, but only once. He didn't connect, but I did, with a kidney shot that brought him down. I told him to leave my brother alone and we wouldn't have any problems.
Being his older sister was a pleasure and we had a special bond. So many great memories with him.
When we lost him, it actually hurt to breathe. It will be 15 years in August and it still hurts to think of him not being here anymore.
Sorry if I went off on a tangent, just got caught up in memories.
I hope your heart heals.
Love from me in South Texas to you and yours.
@@KnowbuddiezBusiness hugs to you as well...
@@KnowbuddiezBusiness 💔🙏🏼💜
There were women named Tuesday back then and that is who he's singing about. :)
ive loved this song my entire life , 50 years later i still get goosebumps every time i hear it
Southern Rock has a lot of SOUL AND BLUES INTERTWINED IN THE MUSIC AND LYRICS...EVEN THE VOICES AND HARMONY.... WE SOUTHERNERS ARE A LOT MORE COMPLICATED AND FEEL THINGS DEEPER THAN A LOT OF THE U.S.A. BUT IT'S IN A GOOD WAY.... WE HAVE HEART HERE AND LOVE AND LOYALTY.... GOD BLESS THE SOUTH FOREVER.... AMEN...🙏❤️
About 8 years ago I was in a bar in Nashville. 1300 miles from home working.
I flew my folks out, and my aunt and uncle, because none of them have been before.
We are having a great time, and my uncle who I was very close to and the person who taught me the skills that I have a career in. This song is playing, (live band doing cover) and we are all out of our seats watching the band play.
Side note..
Bar bands in Nashville could be better than any famous band that is mainstream and these guys were fantastic.
I am finding myself in a surreal moment as I look at my family together and smiling fixated on this band.
My uncle puts his arm on my shoulder and reveals his watch to me.
I hadn't really paid attention to it being Tuesday, we just went out when they got into town.
12:00
Tuesday was in fact gone.
The surreal feeling that I had multiplied into some synchronizing feeling of; YES. All is right in the world and how it should be in that moment of time. It was unbelievably powerful, almost to a disbelief.
I'm sure that being Tuesday, this song was in their setlist for that time.
My uncle passed away 2 years ago.
The moment that he revealed his little secret, about realizing that we were now living in Wednesday to me, on his watch at the time that I already felt like some heaven had spilled down to the spot on earth where I stood, I still feel, some of that feeling, whenever I hear this song, and have a memory of how intense it was with a perfect and pleasant view of, this is it, and this is here all the time. Nothing else existed in my thoughts at that moment, other than a deep gratitude for those people I love right there with me, for another memory with them.
We are just looking in other directions, or in a different light to stay there all the time.
With a joy I thought that this could have been the last experience of combined happiness that I might have with any of them. That is when that feeling overtook me.
{It was the last one with all of them together}
How blessed I am to have something like that, be my last memory of going and doing something with him.
We are just looking in other directions, or in a different light to stay in spilled heaven all the time.
I just fell into whatever that unreal feeling of every single thing is perfect is, so perfect that nothing you could do could make it any better. It's a blissful daydream for a time, but you could not function while having that feeling for very long. Very spiritual, I guess would be the closest word to describe it.
I fumbled over the words, trying to describe something that I do not have the correct words to do so.
I think it's considered 'Southern Rock', but Southern Rock has alot of influences from Blues, Bluegrass, and Soul Rock
Southern Rock definitely. Ronnie Van Zant was the singer/ songwriter for this amazing iconic band. He passed alone with two other band members in Oct 1977. You might consider checking out the live version of Free Bird Oakland, Ca. July 1977. One of the most amazing live performances of all time. Just three months before the tragedy. Peace out ✌️
I'm actually gonna watch them play later this year I know its different with his brother but couldn't turn down watching them play with Metallica gonna be a good show
real music tends to make your eyes leak whether from sadness or from pure joy:) you dont listen to real music ,,,,,,you feel it in your soul
Southern Rock is soulful and bluesy. That is what Lynyrd Skynyrd is.
I believe the most soulful rock band are the ones based in the deep southern blues. So many British legends were influenced by the blues legends. Southern rockers are great story tellers and musicians. Check out "The Legend of Curtis Loew" as Skynyrd pays tribute to a blues player who as a kid Ronnie watched playing the blue.
My favorite Skynyrd song!
It’s a great song, but Curtis Loew was not a real person. “The Ballad of Curtis Loew” was just more of Ronnie Van Zandt’s artistic genius as a lyricist. The inspiration was pulled from several living people and places here on Jacksonville, Florida’s Westside where they grew up.
Southern Rock is a combination of Blues and Country with an edge of Hard Rock
You can feel free to call it soul rock if you want to, we call it southern rock at it's best!
Yes there is soul in southern rock. Same as the soul in RnB/hip hop. It all comes from the blues. No matter what side of the tracks, whatever style you gravitated towards, we can all get down and relate to the blues my friend😊
Rock was born out of the blues, and both are steeped in soul. Southern rock is particularly soulful and bluesy.
If you dig Skynard my man, you most definitely need to check out the Allman Brothers... Melissa or Whilping Post. I think you'll be pleased.
Another awesome song. Heartbreakingly soulful
Southern Rock. My allergies are really messed up today!!
Peace and love always!😊❤
So glad you're going down this path. I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd in concert 5 times (not all the original band members... I was born in '79'). Still some of the best live concert moments I've had.
I saw them December 28, 1998 with Charlie Daniels Band at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Never got to see Ronnie as I was born in 78 but I'll never forget it. Anyone that doesn't know how Ronnie saved the Fox Theatre should look it up...
I love when you closed your eyes to just listen and feel the music. I just read a quote that said back in the day music was for closing your eyes and enjoying. Todays music is less talented with alot of computer help and relies heavily on a video. this is why I love watching people react to the older music falling in love with what their hearing.
Ballad of Curtis Loew is a badass song! Might wanna check that out if you haven't yet;]
He has done this one, check it out!
Definitely!
Lynyrd Skynyrd is Southern Fried Rock. Rock took influence from soul, gospel, blues, and a few other genres. Soulful rock ...Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, Queen.
Bands with Keyboard solos: Queen, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Nightwish...there are many!
Thank you man, Skynyrd is truly a universal band, full of real life, and death, just like the band, glory and tragedy, but life through it all. Train...roll...on.......my baby's gone with the wind...yes he is....
I shared a special bond with my dad growing up and it was one of the bands that really brought us together. I still listen to their songs and I instantly remember my dad. It makes me smile. My dad past away 6 years ago to lung cancer. So thankful for great music. It really does feed the soul. Being from Arkansas I have a huge appreciation for southern rock and blues.
Yes there definitely is “soul” rock, we just call it southern rock and it’s absolutely beautiful
What he means by Tuesday and my baby is gone with the wind is, Sunday Monday and Tuesday he would be home with his woman but come Weds he was back on the road to play music.....he wants the clock to stop so he can be with his lady!! The life of a traveling musician, Lynyrd Skynyrd were AMAZING musicians
Been listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd my whole life and they are so consistently great in their music!
Country is Soul!!!! We are one in the same separated by time. Our people are your people.
Southern Rock was all about the blend of soul, rock, and some country
Tuesday’s Gone” was written by Ronnie Van Zant and Allen Collins from the band, with vocals by Van Zant. It details how the band’s life is going to change in various ways adter being singed to MCA Records. Tuesday in this song is the name of a girl. It's about going away and leaving her behind.
I consider this as southern rock
Having grown up in the deep south in the seventies and eighties. I can say that the influence of soul, jazz, and blue's music are very strong on many southern rock as well as country artists that grew up in that Era.
In the south of my childhood. Which in many areas was heavily depressed financially after poor trade decisions on the part of the government caused the oilfield work to bust and agriculture to be forced to nearly bankrupting most farmers. There were black musicians that toured the south and became highly popular.
These musicians had an advantage over their white counterparts. Because they could go into any town and do three shows in that town. One in a predominantly black bar. One in a predominantly white bar. Then cap off with either a theater or arena show. So many of the kids who would grow up to become Southern Rock bands such as Lynard Skynard and country artists such as Conway Twitty, Chris Stapelton, Ronnie Milsap grew up listening to Ottis Redding, Percy Sledge, Clarence Carter, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Fats Domino, Aretha Franklin, Patty Labelle, Donna Summer, Ike & Tina Turner.
Then add to that influence of the Swamp Pop bands and Zydeco such as Cookie and the Cupcakes and Boozoo Chavus coming out of South Louisiana and South Mississippi. Southern Rock and Country artists actually have a well rounded and diversified pool of musical influence to draw from.
The 60s and 70s was the best time in history for music. They where actual artist and actually played their instruments. Not just pushing a button on a box to give them sounds. And as far as the "soul rock" Thats just how it was in the south back then.(Southern Rock)They put their heart and SOUL into their 🎶 🎵 🪕
Another incredible fact about the mind and heart of Ronnie Van Zant is that he never wrote any of the lyrics of these songs on paper. He listened to the band working out a song and the words came off of his tongue as we later heard them on record. His loss to the world of rock music is immeasurable. The fact that this band could still fill arenas, waiting to hear his songs for forty years after his death, is an indication of how much his words always strike a chord with listeners. A very special person with the soul of a poet.
That’s right. I saw them in 2019 too. I also saw them in 1987, ten years after the plane crash.
He said if you can't remember the lyrics, then they are not worth singing.
"All I can do is write about it" is another one of their soulful songs, if you like them enough to give it a listen
That's a fantastic song. I'm always surprised how people don't know or react to that song.
I love all I can do is write about it. The song had so much truth in it.
That was my Dad’s favorite song, it was played at his funeral. He was a lifelong friend and fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd, he went to school with them at Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, FL. To be his favorite song by them, you know it has to be a good one.
Such a great, great song. Redneck poetry, and my wife and I listen to it all the time.
Like "Ruby Tuesday" by The Rolling Stones, Tuesday in this song is the name of a girl. It's about going away and leaving her behind.
Written by lead singer Ronnie Van Zant and guitarist Allen Collins, it's another "I must be going now" song on Lynyrd Skynyrd's first album, similar in theme to "Free Bird."
There was a train track near the place where the band rehearsed. The sound of the trains inspired lead singer Ronnie Van Zant to write the first line, "Train roll on, on down the line."
The group was discovered by Al Kooper, a producer and session musician who had previously worked with Bob Dylan, Blood, Sweat & Tears, and The Zombies. Kooper played some instruments and sang backup on the album, but his contributions were credited to "Roosevelt Gook." On this track, he played a synthesizer-like instrument called a Mellotron.
Love me some Southern Rock and Roll. Skynyrd is just that!
Some people associate this song with “ Happy Gilmore,” but I will forever think about the movie “Dazed and Confused” with this song. There are a ton of songs off that soundtrack you would really enjoy:
Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo - Rick Derringer
Slow Ride - Foghat
Highway Star - Deep Purple
Stranglehold - Ted Nugent
Low Rider - War
Enjoy your reactions. Keep doing your thing!
Tuesdays gone to the wind- the past is the past and you got to keep moving forward- that’s what I get the song to mean
I'm glad you could "ride this train" with us brother! Loved seeing you FEEL this one!
Tuesday's gone is about a girl . another great one!
"The hunt" is another killer tune from these boys.
I'm a Country Boy too!
They did use a string orchestra as accompaniment on this song! Such a beautiful piece of music 😊
And there are lots of rock bands that use keyboards/pianos:
Guns N’ Roses
REO Speedwagon
Motley Crüe
Journey
Foreigner
And many more!
"Tuesday is gone" and you can't do it over again. Whatever you did not do, is haunting you. Lost a person and wasted the day, but another week will come on Monday. Such poetry, is amazing.
Ronnie van Zant was the lead singer. He died in the plane crash in 1977 along with guitarist/backing vocalist Steve Gaines and Steve's wife Cassie. Billy Powell was the amazing pianist/keyboardist. The guitarists usually stole the spotlight, but Powell got to show out on this one. And Tuesday is his baby. I have a cousin who is such a big Skynyrd fan he named his daughter Tuesday after this song. That's how much we love Skynyrd in the South.
Southern Rock (aka Soul Rock by me, now that you've said it- it's perfect! lol) has been my favourite brand of rock since my childhood in the early 70s in an area that played Hank Williams on the same station as KISS... lol!
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_southern_rock_bands is a jumping off point... they all are amazing, i believe.
Lynrd Skynrd is super soulful! One of the great southern rock groups. Loving your reactions to them Van!
Dude, Tuesday is the day he lost his love. Now Tuesday's gone with the wind.
And is her name! There is a line where he let's you know that!
For me this has always been one of those songs that just makes you wanna hop in your ride, get on the freeway, and just drive.....
Was on the Dazed and Confused soundtrack. Great movie, great songs!
my guy, if you love that piano solo then check out "Call Me The Breeze". for a lot of LS fans its their favorite song from the band.... and it has an amazing piano solo!
RIP JJ Cale!! They called him the breeze!
I love how much you feel the music. We can see you get into the music and makes the reaction so much better. Thank you for giving these great songs the time to appreciate. I’m only 20 but Songs like these I don’t want to be forgotten.
There are several stories about what this song is about. One is that lead singer Ronnie Van Zant's first marriage ended and the divorce was finalized on a Tuesday.
Another story is that the band signed their record deal and Tuesday represents their life will never be the same.
As a huge skynyrd fan I've never heard either of these stories come from any band members mouth
Southern Rock is like a sub genre of Classic Rock. It is kind of a blend of screaming guitar Rock, emotional Soul, the faith and belief of Gospel, and all the heart of Country.
This is one of my favorite songs and I have never seen a reaction! You have made my day! Memories with my mom when I was younger. ❤
I loved this song as a kid from Happy Gilmore, when I found LS and this song years later I fell in love with it again on a whole other level.
"It's all in the hips"
yea same. my first time hearing this song was from happy gilmore and it made me dive head first into LS. obviously everyone and their dog has heard sweet home alabama, but this is the song that made me go "WOW who IS that?"
@@parinthianquattropani9071 just taaap it in, just taaap it in.
Man, this song makes the ‘allergies’ appear quick... My buddy made a video basically saying it wouldn’t be long before we’d be home and couldn’t wait... He sent it before we were supposed to come home from overseas and sent it to his family back home... He was killed a less than a month after sending it... this song was the last song on his video and it kicks me every time... Thank you for what you do Sir! Really enjoy that we’re all on the same page! Like you said, we may all have different beliefs and come from different backgrounds but, at the end of the day, we can all talk and get to know each other better and make this a better America!! Y’al are great! Thank you again! 👍👊🇺🇸
I drive around for work literally listen to this song everyday man I love it. Truly talented musicians
As for the piano in the song, several Southern Rock groups used them. After Dwayne Allman died and Greg took over the Allman brothers used even more piano because that was Greg's instrument. Southern Rock was not like modern rock there was a lot more soul in it. They were country boys. Listen to Train Train by Blackfoot.
Southern Rock Marathon? All deep Soul!
Marshall Tucker Band
Heard it in a love song
Fire on the mountain
Can’t ya see
The backup singers were/are the Honkets, this was recorded and done live with sometimes a 100 piece orchestra accompanying them. And yes Tuesday is her name.
Southern Rock is the balance between rock n roll, country and blues. Soul Rock. Ronnie Van Zant was the singer. one of the few who died in the plane crash 1977.
Trying to label or define music is missing the point in my opinion. Almost all music created with good intentions is some form of soul music. Lynyrd Skynyrd definitely created great music with a pure intention. It’s usually pretty easy to tell the artists who do for it the art from those who make dumbed down pablum for the sake of crass commercialism.
You need to listen to the version that's on One more from the road album. It's a live album. Also there's concert footage of the band playing this in early 76 at winterland concert. Both live versions are fantastic. Also something else to note is that Skynyrd is a piano band
My favorite Skynyrd song! Ronnie Van Zant was the lead singer. He died in the infamous plane crash in 1977. His brother, Johnny sings for Skynyrd now.
Sometimes its not just about the the lyrics. Its about the feeling or the mood. And that's what drives a good song
The song was written about how their life was gonna change after signing with MCA Records
Great reaction. Please react to "I Need You". This is a highly underrated song by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Not just underrated my friend, actually one of skynyrd's best in my opinion. Good taste.
Yessir!
Absolutely 💯.
Yes and was I right or wrong are two of the best
Man are you right about "I Need You!"
Yaaasss baby thats soul… southern rock… that’s what it is just a variation of the blues❤
This song is one of those lazy Sunday songs your kicking back chilling kind of songs.
Southern rock mostly has that blues feeling. You might also react to Blackfoot, Mashall Tucker and Molly Hatchet. They all had that same feel.
React to Free Bird... Thank me later
There's always at least one.
Got to listen to the full length version van.

When I hear this song Dazed and Confused the movie always comes to my head
It’s southern rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd is legendary, the lead singer has passed away and his name was Ronnie Van Zandt, his young brother now took over as lead singer
Love this song! Love Skynyrd! You should definitely check out Freebird live from Oakland 1977...if you haven't already...it is an epic performance!
Soul Rock is defiantly a thing, some other bands are Pink Floyd, Some songs from Scorpions and so on
Winds of Change!
I don't know if I could pick one favorite song from Skynyrd. They all are pretty much perfect. Just it play, listen and enjoy. They will take you there
ABSOLUTELY SOUL ROCK!!! YES!!
I think it's all about what's in the depth of your soul when we talk about LYNARD SKYNYRD
Tuesday actually is a name, I don't know if that is what was intended though.
One of the BEST Bands EVER !! Check out " Was I Right or Wrong " by them... it's a Good one !!
from BING:: “Tuesday’s Gone” was written by the lead singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ronnie van Zant, and guitarist Allen Collins. The song was written after Ronnie van Zant realized that life would not be the same after signing their deal with MCA Records.
Beautiful song! I went to school with 3 chicks with names Wednesday, Tuesday and Sunday.
