I put a lot of time in those DW Gundam games. The last one Reborn was on the PS3 as digital only in the states and I don't wanna delete that game because i'll never get it back.
Agreed im glad i still got my ps3 cuz psn stores keep cutting down good qaulity gamesto the point that you need discs in order to actually play the game. Sad time for game archiving.
@@jmallas984You guys know that if you've purchased a game, even if it gets removed from the psn store all you have to do is go into your download list to redownload it right? DWG Reborn & all its DLC are still on the store to this day fyi.
my biggest gripe with the DW Gundam Series is that they didn't follow up on the First One's original mode. the first Game had an actual story mode that I could coherently follow. the rest? no. case in point. Seabook Arno (probably butchered the spelling) teaming up with Ribbons Almark against Setsuna and Kira. I could never see that happening. another one is Haman or Sirocco teaming up with Char, ESPECIALLY CCA Char. they despise him, Haman especially so. the first game made *some* sense. also, the dynamic of Domon, Zechs and Puru was probably the best one in the first game too.
For me, the main appeal of the game is the crossover plot element. Gundam has many games with sites from different timelines and eras, but most of them have no impact on the story. Most of the SD Gundam G Generations for example may allow Amuro to pilot the Gundam X in G Gundam's world, but few games have actual crossover stories, such as those of Super Robot Wars and Another Century's Episode (ACE) Gundam has few of them, I remember in SD Gundam G Green Advance that you can get Camille and Kukuruz Doan to learn the super mode from Domon Kasshu, and you get a new plot where the Federation (UC and CE) is fighting against the Zeon x ZAFT, there was also SDGGG DS that I think mixed in the story from Monoeyes Gundam into a new story with new original characters recruiting known ones in a mixture of events DWG3 has a strong relationship between characters who should never meet, such as Dozle and his daughter Mineva, or the interesting pair of Garrod and Haman, and others. It's these impossible events that make the story interesting for fans. Another example of outside Gundam is Macross 30, that allows Shell Nome (Macros Frontier) to meet and interact with her great aunt Sarah Nome (Macross Zero) who is really weirded out in being called"obaa-chan" by someone as young as herself
ah, yes, the eternal musou question - what can the allies do? If allies usually can't win against a single unit (that is, a named pilot with their cohorts), but can hold on for a good while, it's ok. When they can sometimes win, even on the offensive, that's also good. the problems begin where, in the off-screen combat, a single enemy unit can easily defeat two or more allies fighting simultaneously (if the enemy in question isn't someone specified as really powerful). Older Dynasty Warriors games (that is, 2-5, maaaybe 6, not sure) had a simple, but working, morale and troops system, allowing the player to track and predict how the off-screen battles will go, and even indirectly (or, well, directly, just not by the way of offing the named officer), by manipulating the morale levels, cutting off reinforcements etc. Later musou games do not have such open mechanics, it often looks like the "power levels" are just pre-scripted and change via events.
What do you mean it would be a Great idea (if more difficult to Play Test to make sure it goes JUST RIGHT with Levels, Troop Amounts, and Morale Stats either visible or invisible to the Player) to bring that Back and Overhaul it as an important battle mechanic in Dynasty Warriors Gundam 4?
Whenever allies run into named enemies in Musou games an invisible timer begins ticking down determining how long they can last before somehow dying. As you said in older games the moral and troop gauges can help you determine whether or not the ally will die but in games past 6 all ally units seemed to have forgotten how to fight and will just stand there and die until you bail them out
Hopes to one day the Bandai Namco would port Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 (or the entire Dynasty Warriors Gundam trilogy) on to the Nintendo Switch and/or the potential Nintendo Switch 2.
We need these games on the PS4 and PS5, I played all 4 of them and among them, they are my favorites especially since Reborn allows the use of Mobile Armors save for Dark Gundam. DWG 3 also introduced the EW Version of Wing Zero. Everyone can claim a pilot's stats make the difference but that's not quite the case. A certain character I used from 2 to Reborn made shockwaves, grossly underestimated and yet with her, even the hardest missions turned easier. And if you played with the PlayStation player, BlackRogueZero, you know what I am capable of.
@@JarboeGaming I mean the only weapon he has other than his hands/feet is a cloth so they still slightly tougher than the mobile coffin that is the Leo
This is my favorite one in the series due to the cel shaded graphics and music and the fact that they kept the english voice actors 👌 I wish they would make at least one more with all the current gundams etc..i got reborn on the Vita the Japanese version but its a little tough since i can barely read Japanese lol still fun either way 😅
Forever using Puru2 in Freedom just cause she haha funny. the high point of this game for me was the Knight gundam/Musha Fight. I wish they made a newer/remastered the old games. Feel like it would be a nice timer killer.
I played the Musou 1 and 3 but in my heart, I really prefered 1 played thousand times, but the 3 is the same as you said in the video, after some missions, it's get boring that was something that I didnt' fell on gundam musou 1
It means a lot that dozens of people loved DWG games Koei why did you not do anything with it after Reborn when Reborn was supposedly a reboot of the series? Give me a collection on pc ffs the stories while may not be great by any means they remind me of what they did with warriors orochi trilogy of warriors games. idk original stuff just works well but i've been a dynasty warriors fan all my life so this crossover is peak for me
Dumped a loooooot of time into all three... The second one is easily the best, had the most content based on the original story, awesome suit/character selection, and a half decent "mission mode". I was really disappointed by the excuse plot being the only story mode in 3... The lack of a proper mode based on the events of the various series was a waste of potential.
I played the absolutely shit out of this game, especially once I found out how to play splitscreen co-op! Definitely not my favorite Gundam, game but it is the second game I ever preordered the first being Halo: Reach.
Dynasty warriors gundam games were, in my mind, never meant to be something you played for hours and hours on end, its much better suited for as a wind down, turn your brain off and relax for a bit type of game with some challenge coming from the different difficulty settings.
I wish they would remaster this. So many fond memories of this one

Reborn was the best out of this series. I loved seeing certain characters react to each other that would never meet otherwise
@Dr._Love its been many years since I played it. In terms of the dubbing I kinda wanted the original cast back for a few of the characters

1:28 the balls on that zaku during your special attack
"Ha, your fin funnels won't stop me" *swings with heat axe and misses* "damn it" xD
he's like the john prodman of the DW games (john prodman is a real character in the warframe game, you should read about him)
Nah G Gundam about mecha wrestling, romance, the friends we made along the way, and looking upon your masters body and seeing no Devil Gundam Cells.

Man, still wish I had my copy of this for 360. Good times
I don't know if you encountered it, but there's a scene where Yazan Gable compares his situation to "a bad sci-fi flick"
Its a crime that they haven't remastered or made a brand new dynasty warriors gundam game for current gen consoles what a waist
I've said it before and ill say it again, this franchise DESERVED and "Empires" version.
I loved these games so much. Having no access to Gundam series to watch, the game was my only tie
Amazing as usual man and also try reborn as that one is the most recent one and basically makes everything else obsolete.
Ahh.. i remember playing DWG2 on ps2, i like alreasy unlock everything, and what i lack is fighting those giant enemy using mass produce suit.
My childhood and was lucky enough to find a physical copy in a pawnbroker
You should try the 2nd entry, I consider it the best in the dynasty warrior gundam series
Have you played Reborn? I felt they improved on some dynamics but was rushed maybe due to underfunding.
Not yet, but will give it a shot in the future!
I loved the dynasty warriors gundam games... played all 4... reborn is amazing
Man playing this game on the PC with the emulator up scaled graphics so so good
assuming you use a 360 emulator?
13 YEARS AGO!! WHAT THE HELL
We really need a new DWG game. it's been way to long since the last one.
Running Sinanju.. not something I see everyday
The Leo, Serpent, Torus, Virgo 1&2...for whatever reason none of these, nor the Altron or Sandrock made it in...which sucks.
rip all those grunts
I played it for countless hours. Great game.👍👍👍👍
They couldn’t add Leo’s to the game, those suits blow up if you sneeze near them
😂😂 To be fair The Dark Army suits were taken out by Master Asia with his bare hands
@@JarboeGaming I mean the only weapon he has other than his hands/feet is a cloth so they still slightly tougher than the mobile coffin that is the Leo
Unparalleled video title
Compare this to the Second entry, I'd like to hear your thoughts on what was cut from the Third game from the second game.
The gundam dw3 it reminds of "one piece pirate warriors 4" because of the details on the screen and things
So basically Super robot wars 30 but you have more control over characters.
BRING THIS GAME BACK!!! And we need a new Battle Assault.
I love this game really hope they make a new one 😭🙏

I wish they would rerelease on PC , never got the chance to play reborn
Would kill for a ps4/5 release
The only gundam game i enjoyed, they just need to make a new one on pc
They need to make a new one dang it. Or remake an old one.

but in my heart, I really prefered 1
played thousand times, but the 3 is the same as you said in the video, after some missions, it's get boring

1 was simple and sometimes simple can be perfect
I've been trying to emulate this game for a week but haven't had any luck, does anyone have a tutorial anywhere?
I hated the first one, but I loved this game. I will not apologize!
Dynasty warriors reborn was the best one
'named enemies'? you mean 'ace units/pilots'?
freedom and wing zero had max shot, kinda busted no lie.
DWG2 was by far the best.
yes and no? relationship system was god awful

I should really get around to watching Char's Counterattack, the Nu Gundam is beautiful.
I felt Dynasty Warriors Gundam 1-2 were much better but 3 had its strengths

dw gundam 2 is the best dw gundam game and i will die on this hill
