Indeed, parallel nodes are often underrated in Color Grading. Great Job!
This is going to be inyas the ring was done in camera. So excited to see how you approach this. ❤
This was crazy! The parallel node method was crazy 🔥🔥🔥
💯
Your content is awesome. Can you do a tutorial on how to deal with footage that you can't pull a key out easily? For example how to get good skin tones from the low bit depth or underexposed footage that lacks color information. I know you can always do power windows, but what steps can we take before that.
Exactly what I show you in my free calibrating training it's a big footage highly compressed from Sony a 6500 here is the link check it out. event.webinarjam.com/channel/waqasqazi
Excellent. You taught me about Vector presets. Thanks! The Ring looks like it was graded only with printer lights.
That's a pro technique used by many.
I'm planning on creating a THX Trailer for The Ring.
you're my favourite youtuber. period.
let's go!
you killed it Qazi! Watching the result, gave me goosebumps. And that node caching tip? Priceless! Noise reduction is always taxing on my processor. Thanks!!
Thank you, brother. Node caching is a must for NR even my beasts chokes. 💪🏽
I was a total noob on Resolve just a week ago. I've discovered your channel, I've been binging content and I've been learning like crazy. Coming from Vegas Pro, Resolve has quite a steep learning curve but somehow the way you teach makes me want to learn more and I think I'm gonna switch to Resolve now. Thank you for this awesome content man!
This is music to my ears. Let's go!
@@theqazman I've browsed through your videos looking for something on file management. Coming from Vegas Pro, this is the most confusing aspect of Resolve that throws me off a lot. In Vegas Pro, I put all my videos, PSDs (I often animate photoshop files my videos), and audio clips in a "casts" folder beside my vegas project file. When I need to make a new video, based on the same concept I just duplicate that folder and replace the assets but keeping the same name. When I open the project, everything is there but with the assets replaced automatically. I've tried doing that in Resolve and each time I need to "replace" each file individually. I'd be very interested to see how you manage your files and how you would approach a project like I just mentioned. Sorry for writing a novel.
Great work Qazi! I'd love to see a breakdown of the Children of Men look.
Waqas Qazi with your tutorials I am going further to the professional point.
Thank you for that willingness to teach beginners.
Thanks greetings from Ecuador.
Dk without your videos, how would I learn colour grading!!
💪🏾
a SAW and STRANGER THINGS look would be epic!
Just downloaded resolve this last month. Was playing around with it even though I have no idea what I’m doing. This tutorials have definitely helped.

Already liking it brother! I know the value from FCM!

You should really make a video about your setup. Looks beautiful
It's in my Masterclass
Have you thought of creating a course on how to work with colors for FCPX USERS? Wish to find someone that teaches same stuff but in fcpx

Ive tried many times to adjust both images the way you did by selecting selected still images and it's just impossible, so I cannot go further with the tutorial untill I can split my screed that way to color grade. please help.

When i know about Special Effects with my favorite DaVinci Resolve, No horror movies scare me!
😂 truth
Great tutorial , love it!
Can we get a tutorial on how to get blacked out (demon eyes). In general, how to black out something in a video. Thanks!
Intro is more awesome than content
💪🏽
this is really really cool! thanks.
Of course 😀
Think you could do a tutorial on the LOTR film look? With the gradients for the grittier scenes and even the soft feathering for the Elvish locations? And I commented on one of your most recent videos if you knew how to do a Sting Sword glow effect in Davinci Resolve.
Damn that as insane i followed along with my own still image and not a video and it does work on my videos but will need some tweaking.
Can you make a content about how to edit good audio in DaVinci. New subscriber here!
Like this look a lot as well. Wasn’t this first seen in The Matrix? (1999) Seems pushed a little further than that even.
You're probably right and agree
I would like to see you take on Lubezki and malick’s tree if life natural look!

Thank you 😀
Hi guys, Im super new to Resolve and grading. I downloaded this image from Shotdeck, and when I put it in Resolve this green color is way off then original. Thoughts?
Do you know how they get that dreamy soft look from the original ring (ringu) and pulse (kairo)? I know they used 35mm film for these late 90s early 00s japanese horror but is there a lense filter or lense size that could get me close?
Another super tutorial!!
💪🏽
Great Video! I am really interested in the look of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2.
Thanks for the love. Good suggestion.
Love it!
Thank you
So, do you not color transform every time?
hi qazi your videos are amazing! i see only tutorials for just 1 part of a clip. but can you make a tutorial for a long clip? we want to learn how to make a long clip with the same color...
Then you need my masterclass not just one video.
@@theqazman where can i find it?
love it!

What is a good budget Color Grading Monitor?
Hi all, loving the learning from the channel. Just getting into Resolve. There was a Gem of knowledge on a video I watched recently. Saving the node tree to use on new projects. It's a real pain to have to create it each time and i like the idea of the reminder to keep things consistent. Could someone point me in the right direction? Ash
Which laptop to buy for da Vinci resolve
Thank you dude. Great job. I learned a lot from you. But why in my eyes it should be more pushed to green zone to achieve the example area? Do I missed something?
Clever programmer brother
Yep 😀
Please, can you do full editing in adobe premiere and bring the whole footage to DaVinci 16 to do colour correction and colour grading?
Sorry for my English, I’m French. Great video ! So I have a question, Am I the only one, when I upload a video on UA-cam, the color look totally different to davinci... ? i’m so confusing...
UA-cam generally encode your video and that's where the color shift happens. It happens to most.
Your node structure for every video is different, how do you decide the node structure?
it was insane...my goodness
😀💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Really big fan of your work ..But honestly I don't feel this video achieve ring look ..Sorry but giving honest feedback .👍👍👍
Awesome videos! I was trying out the changes you made to the yellow mode at 8:05 and was unable to see the realtime changes when. I triple checked that I had the right node selected yet still nothing shows.
Can you please make a tutorial on how to color grade like 1917 movie in davinci resolve
I will soon.
Can anyone tell me the song played in the intro of the legendary Mr. Qazi
Can you do the look from A Quiet Place?

Does a DSLR shoot below 8bit? I use Canon 200D with cinestyle log, and my image gets weird very quickly.
Hi Qazi, thanks for the great grading tutorial! I was wondering if youre interested in doing comparison videos between cameras. A lot of cameras are being compared for their image quality but usually the creators either apply conversion LUTS or just basic color correction and compare the footages. But I feel like with your skills, you'll be able to better color correct and grade the footages to show people that you don't need to keep chasing for the latest cameras with the highest DR, but rather need to focus on learning how to color grade so you can make any footage look it's best. Perhaps you can share your experience of grading the different footage and comment on how flexible one footage is compared to another but ultimately, with the proper skills, anyone can get great results just with different journey.
Thanks man
EDIT: Some UA-camrs like JSFILMZ has filmed comparison videos with a lot of cameras and have made them available for download.
unless the footage is provided to me with the intention it will be hard to add that to the list for now.
@@theqazman Hi Qazi, I found another youtuber Monkey Pixels and he wants to collab with you on this! Do let me know wheres the best place for him to get in touch with you
This shot was filmed in Adelaide, Australia right?
Nothing happens when i do 6:45 "selected still images" :(((
I don't want to learn how to edit or correct colors, what I want is to learn how to have my hair like yours....LOL ...thank you for those hours of hard work in teach us to improve our videos
😂 magic
at 9 mins in it already looked like a high budget movie
let's go 💪🏽
عاشت ايدك وقاص
Can you make a video about the look of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" 2010 because when I see people grading horror films, they desaturte it and crush the blacks. That film is in my eyes a really good exemple for a very saturated look in a horror film
I'll check it out.
Do you have 1 shirt that you change the colour of in post?
😂 no brother, I have every color in this shirt.
@@theqazman It would have been a cool way to save money and show off your skills at the same time 😂
Can you make tutorial Birds of Prey movie look? Pls.... Thank you so much :)

How are you getting the full screen scopes on your left monitor. Or are you using scopebox or hardware scopes?
Single screen mode
Hi, I already running the single screen mode to get floating window. But I had problem to get the window to fullscreen. But I just found that you could actually drag the floating windows corner to rezize it. Doh! I missed this before since you need to be at the very corner to scale it. Thanks for the reply.
How to make 17:41 like video?
👌
Is that shirt legit pink or did you key it out amd mess with the hue. lol
😂 no key
