I think this is one of your most profitable videos you've posted. This look fundamentally applies to a vast majority of popular looks and it gives you a basic guideline of what to do first.
I know it. Glad you are seeing it the way it was intended.
It was the first time I felt I was really able to follow through the steps on a color correction/grading process. Thank you very much!
Man, your channel is a goldmine of knowledge.
Thanks! I have used the bleach bypass look and it's a big difference.
What a perfect video! Thanks for the shared knowledge
Really excited about the HDR color palette video, can't wait to know more about this tool !
Yeah it will be epic.
Thank you very much for all your videos I have learned a lot and improved my videos to a huge level.

Ty
Hey Qazi! So Many Thanks! ❤️🙏🏼
You're welcome, Carole 😀
I think bleach bypass is an ageless look. Can't wait to see what you have in the HDR adjustments video coming up. Thanks Qazi!!
Thank you brother. It'll be so good.
What would your biggest advice for lighting this on the front-end be, to really emphasize the look you'll get in post?
Always light how you want it on set.
Very informative video! Thanks alot! Would like to watch more videos like this!
Thanks.
Love this look it gives me a music video vibe 🔥🔥
Thanks
This is super clean man. I look forward to using this look.
I know you got a lot of requests and it probably gets overwhelming, but I would love to see you tackle the color of HBOs Euphoria.
It’s very vibrant and appears to use lots of Davinci’s power windows.
I have trouble placing anything better than this in terms of cinematography!
Please check it out and keep Euphoria high on that list of yours!
Keep kicking ass bro!
oh my gosh, you're so awesome ❤
Thanks
Just released a vid in camera lens shift and thought I'd try this grade on that and wow what a difference it has made. Wont re upload the vid but really love what it did with the image
Thank you, nice and simple but adds so much value.
Will be adding this to my future stuff and then using the key output to control how intense I want it
That's so awesome to hear. Love when that happens
THIS IS WHAT I NEED!!
You got it 💪🏾
no nonsense great practical advice!
You know how I do
the man qazi making great content low key fan of your job ;)
Thank you.
Besides the obviously brilliant grading tutorial, I really appreciate that your audio is perfect. It really makes a difference when learning. Thanks
Thank you. Appreciate that.
Thanks for this tutorial man! Me and my brother are using this as a guide for our video.
Let's go!
this is the best bro
You know it 💪🏾
Love from India, Kerala always waiting to see your new vids
Let's go!
Wow! Having a whole show or film like this would be so so dope! ( good) lol…. But do you think that a video on creating a look for an entire project mixing the 2383 Kodak with this method so that a grungy detective like world can be brought out to the max!.?
I love this method and this footage looks amazing! Well done qaz
All American or Snowfall Look would be amazing!
Really cool video, what a nice grading, no too bleachy, can't wait to try it myself !
Note : I'm still waiting for a white to full red color look as you shown on instagram, would be amazing!
Will do
this is the 2nd time u put that stuff what i have been thinking all the day...1st dynamic key frame tutorial and now this...what a great teacher student connection...luv u so much sir❤️
Awesome
@@theqazman u r awesome❤️
you guys should get married.
Awesome
Thanks
how do y ou get the film grain to show up in youtube? this is the best film grain I have seen after going trough compression
Probably the export settings.
Going to try... Even though I shot in BRAW film
Sharpening accentuates noise, so what if you put your EE after your Grain?
I have the free version of Davinci Resolve, I can only use film grain in an adjustment layer and fusion, will this effect the color grade?
Strange. I right clicked but my DR18 doesn't have Composite Mode. Is it only available on Studio version?
What export setting do you use when on Mac if you export a color corrected layer out of premiere. Is the gamma issue just because I’m on a mac display? All these videos look great on Mac and my pc but it seems like I have to choose one or the other to look good
Does anyone know where the stock video clip in this video is from?
ma man...... beautiful!!!!! i like!!
Thanks
Would you say the show CSI (original) had a bleach bypass?
learning so much from you again, and again, and again. We are so lucky to have you. Thank you Q!
Aw. Sweet. Thanks brother.
i came to understand that desaturation to 0 on the second node and applying layer composite to HardLight will also give the exact same result , this is because Hardlight and Overlay are just inverse to each other
How you think, apple cinema display is best monitor for 300$?
Love ur oversized shirt
Thank you. My homie's brand.
i wish you'd tell us the reason behind some choices you make, like why you used overlay layer compositing. Would really help
A negative developed normally will have the silver layer removed, leaving only the color dyes. If you bleach bypass, it leaves the silver in the film with the color dyes. So the silver image is essentially overlayed over the color dye image. But honestly this tutorial could be more accurate. A more accurate way to do this is to emulate a black and white 35mm stock, than overlay that on a color negative emulation. It should also be taken into account if the bleach bypass is to the negative or print, as bleach bypassing a negative gives different results to bleach bypassing a print.
Doesn't look like you use Noise Reduction anymore...any reason as to why?
💥!! One of my favourite looks as well...Sin City blew me away when I saw it! BUT...I didn't actually know that this was what was meant by the Bleach Bypass look until now. 😳
As an aside, in a full grade (this is obviously a tutorial focused on look creation) would you vignette the light to tone it down a bit and keep the focus on the chef?
You can but I don't rely heavily on vignettes
Hello, I have a problem, hopefully someone knows how to solve it. When i open the project again, i don't see anything in the timeline, neither in edition nor in color nor anywhere, unless you deactivate all nodes (deactivating chromatic adjustments and blending effects). Please, if anyone knows how to solve this problem, I will be very grateful
how to upscale video?
Hey I’m pretty new to resolve and colour grading. Do you have any tutorial for colour grading talking head a-roll with a white bg?
Check this out. event.webinarjam.com/channel/cleanwhite-ig
Grunge, Crank, Juice - got it. :D
Pretty much
Great Job!!!!!! Thank you so much!
Hey! :) How important is that controller on your desk for your workflow?
Very
Fewer steps when skin tones are great in camera like with this footage!
Would love to see a fight club and black messiah look.
Superlike
Thanks
2:40 you said check the link above. Where is the link exactly?
I love it but i can do because you use shortcut key :( I'm a beginner at davinci, I'm just going to use it to make luts for the premiere pro
hello
Will I be able to download Master DaVinci Resolve NODE Tree - FREE Training after apply course? Or Can i hit pause and watch later ?
thank you
It's in the Masterclass. 💪🏾
My favorite bleach bypass look ever is in Fincher's SEVEN.
Same
The best ,mohammed fcn
Ayyyy 💪🏾
What camera you use for intro
C500 mkii
Can this be set up as a power grade?
Sure it can
Nothing is easy. There is no easy thing in life if you wanna achieve something. This man put so much hard work for us. Gotta love it.
Definitely the closest thing to a _"Zack Snyder's Justice League"_ film look tutorial I think we'll get from you.
0:10 epic video? does it span a large period of time?
All the videos have different topics. I think you should start from A to Z from class 1 after that class 2 like this. Then we can understand properly. Because we love you.
That's why you have my Masterclass
We need KGF look plzz💯🎉
Great and helpful tutorial man! Would have been an amazing one if you hadnt touched the Lum Qualifier (or at least cleaned up the mask) because these spots look like an ant colony in you output. Still very nice one
That's grain not a bad key job.
@@theqazman not so sure about it. Maybe its the youtube compression but i see the grain on the whole video AND in the keyed areas i see heavy ants (bigger than the grain but simmilar looking). Look at the nose compared to the skin right next to it.
Spanish subtitles please! there is a market that could expand for your colorgrade class
Will do one day
Is the Book of Eli look under bleach bypass?
Yes
Rose: "it depends on what you want to convey. The original looks moody and melancholic and the bleach bypass looks like he's on a mission to slice some beef"
> Starts adding nodes
What magic shortcut is that?!
A plastic plant tho 😩
