It's very humbling and revealing to realize you fell for a scheme; admitting you were wrong and/or susceptible is one of the hardest things to admit. Schemers actually account for most victims being too ashamed to blow the whistle on them. I really appreciate your dedication to educating people on very real problems.

@Sebastian Szymczyk I agree with you 100%. Everything you've said is part of being objective. The lack of objectivity when making decisions and assessments can lead to these problems. Many people are not critical thinkers like JJ and are subjective. Decisions based on emotions and feel good moments and not logic and critical thinking will almost always lead to situations that end badly.

I never understood why someone who has a method of becoming very rich very fast would waste his or her time by telling others how to do it, instead of doing it himself. This was pretty much the end of my thought process since I was a teenager in high school. And it was very painful for me to realize that even adults are being scammed that way - it forced me to realize how every educated adult person can still be manipulated by evil intents... And if such manipulation is possible, what else do you think is possible without most of the people knowing?

A lot nowadays go to socialize and get a piece of paper, and end up even dumber than when they began. I know a lot of these people cause I went to school with some. I lost my girlfriend because I shared those dreams with her which were promised by MLM's which definitely didn't happen. Then my family saw me as a failure.

I was introduced to MLMs when I was a kid, thru my dad & mom. We used Amway vitamins, then they tried other new MLM companies. Once I turned 18, I started drinking the MLM Kool-Aid bcuz our entire lives we struggled & the dream they sold you was like your first hit of drugs. That so called dream did not discriminate against age, sex or race. It felt as if you knew something that no one else knew, you were special & that alone would be the beacon to your success. I learned much later that the actual products that these companies sell are shit, whether it's vitamins, shakes, drinks, travel, insurance or telecommunications bcuz their goal is membership, not product recognition bcuz they're not designed to compete in the free market. That's why no one ever heard of them & no one will

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for. Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. "You're not going to remember those expensive shoes you bought ten years ago, but you will remember every single morning when you look at your bank account that extra 0 in there. I promise, that's going to be way more fun to look at everyday", I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life

Yeah but it also teaches, "ask and you shall receive", which is very confusing when in the next chapter(not literally the next) it can say "blessed are the poor, meek and humble"... "Impossible for a rich man to get into heaven" etc.
We all know though, that we wont receive just because we ask, fast and pray. People still die, wars continue, money evades people, tsunamis come in etc etc. Some people receive, but they can never prove if it was God or themselves being lucky or working really hard, because another person could receive just as much without being a believer.
And just like with these gurus and pyramids schemes, they have covered their backs. Because if you don´t receive blessings, or you can´t move that mountain(or reach the top), then it YOUR fault for having to little faith etc. Pray more, fast more, give more, tithe more, etc.
Don´t get me started on the obvious contradictions of the old and new testament.
Not that i care what people believe, that is their own life, i just want people to question more. And of course there are churches that behave good and justly, compared to other institutions within the religious realm. I love the bibles words about loving your neighbor and treating others as you want to be treated yourself, but as with all snake-oil salesmen they always have some truths in there to make people blind to the rest of it.
      9) On that day you will not question me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. (John 16:23-24 NAB)

As a highly sensitive and quite respectful and supportive person as well, I ve been pitched at least one hundred times this type of ideas...and each time I would listen to each individual, support their vision and wish them best of luck from the bottom of my heart... All that time my gut feeling was screaming "get the hell out of here"...I m sure the more we are in touch with ourselves and our inner gps the less we are likely to be influenced by such ideas or individuals.

You expressed it very well, and in fact, you traced this problem back to its historical roots. This is exactly what is happening in today's world, with the potential of the internet and social media. We see this pattern being reproduced on a large scale and reaching an increasing number of people. Getting rich quickly only enriches the seller, not the buyer.

Lupre was arrested and killed himself and sadly, his story is much the same as most other get rich quick "gurus." All of them are fraudsters and con-artists.
