Referred by the Ugly Duckling competition. What a beautiful cabinet! My first furniture project when I was 14 was a really heavy solid wood TV cabinet that I hauled down the street from the neighbor's trash and turned into a bookshelf so this episode was nostalgic for me! Love that you are a Mom/daughter team ❤️❤️❤️
Glad to meet you, Baroness! And I love that story. You must have been quite creative and industrious to do a project like that when you were 14. Love it! Thanks for watching!😊
This turned out so groooooovy!!!! Love that you added lights and patten inside the bar to help bring out even more character to this piece. It always warms my heart when people find new purpose for old pieces like these. Many times they are just thrown away. This is so cool now!!! Your family is incredibly sweet and a joy to watch. What a fantastic transformation.
I think that turned out so cool!!! What a difference 😍😍😍😍😍 the knobs and tag are GORGEOUS!! It was a neat idea to turn it into a bar and the lights are like icing on the cake❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Emily, this is Sherry. Thanks for watching! Yep, black was the best way to go, I thought it was going to be too much black but it still has a bit of red and gold showing through so its just right, just toned down a bit. The lights are great! Love them. 🤗😍
Haha.... thanks, Holly! Yes, we are definitely not purists and sometimes borrow inspiration from different decades. In this case, it was all about keeping it fun.😵
I literally love you two ❤ Freaking fantastic intro 😍 This piece is seriously cool! Totally transformed but you maintained the original swanky vibe in a modern way. Love it! Also wow, Pops has an amazing eye and that bobcat was gorgeous. Awesome capture!
Haha... as you can probably tell, I (Sherry) was dying in the intro. I haven't been in that much pain since we stuffed 9 of us in a VW bug back in the 70's.😵 Yeah, I agree, Pops definitely has an artistic eye with his photography, especially for cute animals. He is a man with many talents. Thanks, Jenn! Love you, too!🤗
Absolutely! It was way too dark inside without them. They are both practical and fun. Thanks for watching, Bree! And welcome to YT Furniture Flipping. Looking forward to watching your videos!😍
What a fun video with my 2 AZ Favorite Girls 🥰👍....I love how cool and retro this Piece Came out. .With a Nod to the Era as well as the Cool retro Vibe will for SURE be a Gorgeous conversation Piece over a fun party .... Beautiful bar ladies 🥰❣️
Thanks Debra! It was a fun piece to work on. We do love to do anything retro and try to preserve a little bit of history. And our buyers seem to appreciate those pieces, too. 😘
Very cool, love the quick trick in cutting the curved bottom portion into a squared off and modern looking base. I might have to use that trick! Have some bar redoes that really need that. Great job ladies.
Thanks, Dar! Yep, I think we picked that up from another furniture flipper. We love learning from all our YT furniture family and passing it on when we can. Thanks for watching!🤗
I’m blown away by this transformation! I want this!! It’s stunning! I have come to truly enjoy your videos and look forward to when you post! Great job ladies! As usual! 👏🌹
As another poster said, this brought back fond memories, for me it is of family gathered around grandma's cool tv, watching the oldies on special days. Opening the cabinet doors meant the fun was to begin! Glad to see this beauty was brought back to life in such a fun and spectacular way! Love your channel vibe and format. You two are a hoot! New subscriber!
Haha ... we definitely have our serious times but at other times we can lean to being dorky, quirky or even goofy. We are very fortunate to have this time together doing something we both love.
That turned out so cute I have to admit when I first saw it I thought there’s no way they can make that pretty. Well I was proven wrong. Great job ladies. You are so much fun to watch
Haha ... I had the same thoughts when I first saw it. Thank you for watching and for commenting, Annetta! (BTW - I (Sherry) like your name. My middle name is Annette.) 😍
I know, right? And this one was free! It looked liked someone started working on it but didn't get too far. We were very lucky to find it. Thanks for watching!!!🤗
@@secondchanceohana totally ! Lol , just kidding , once a very valley girl. Nice to meet you 🤗 . I'm in Indiana now , really enjoyed your video God bless you two ❣️
So beautiful! That piece really brings back memories. We had a similar one when I was very young. My uncle bought it for us right after he returned home from the Korea War. There was a pull-out drawer where the red piece is on yours that had a record player and a radio in it. We were the only kids in our area who had a tv back then so we had a houseful of guests on Saturday mornings to watch cartoons!
Thank you so much, Tonya! We are fortunate that we get along so well as it sure makes this work easier and more fun with a partner. Thanks for watching today. 😊
I’d keep the veneer on the top and do a band of black around to camouflage where the chunk is missing. Maybe a band around the top like a frameand keep the center stained
I’m with your mom I think you should’ve done gold on the bottom but it’s still beautiful! thanks for the video I’m getting ready to convert an old TV myself.
