Dude the intro was epic
fucking amazing!
Im the 100th like
Bad-ass
bros....I just discovered this: listen to Madonna - I'd Rather Be Your Lover and please prove me wrong that that song is the sample used!!! Madonna had sampled Lou Donaldson - It's Your Thing...this character select song could have been created in 1969! Anyways...I thought it was kinda funny that I subscribe to a "who sampled who" channel called "Eightminutesupsidedown" and then on the same day this person uploads a video with this track, my comment get pinned and liked by Mr. Dome Candy himself! fist bump if you read all this and checked the songs
Nailed it! 👌😆
This game still holds up well, I think, especially through emulation on PC, because you get HD resolution, anti-aliasing, and cpu overclocking (to get rid of those nasty slowdowns). I played it last night. Hours went by without me even noticing. Such a good game. I freaking love that emulation is getting better and better. Preservaaatioooon!!
When this games gets released on the nintendo switch 64 app im playing the fuck out of it not only for nostalgic purposes but just enjoy it in 60FPS and also not having to worry about setting my N64 lol
That was a rollercoaster ride, finding this awesome, hilarious channel but then seeing it hasn't posted in 3 years :(
Make that 4 my man :)
Or my dog.
Had he been consistent he would’ve blown up, pretty sure.
Got this in the morning before school and played it for 5 minutes and thought about it all day. Got it for my kids recently.
Your intro was lit!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥 I actually started wondering for half a second how you were able to get such good graphics before I realized you were doing a character knockoff. EPIC!
This game was the bomb when it came out dude!!!! I used to spend hours with my cousins playing this on the weekends!!! I miss the 80s and 90s!!!
I literally was laughing hysterically at the beginning. Well done.
Great vid. Deserve way more views!
I'm surprised to see you here
This was the best review of a video game I've ever seen. The intro...hilarious. The snowflake effects in your room...brilliant. You hit on all the points I'd hope you hit while making it super entertaining. Thank you so much
man, this was really good!
nostalgia 100%, one of my favorite games for N64
cheers from brazil
Why the fuck do you not have more subscribers??
You make amazing content dude. :)
Haha, thanks! Pass it around, maybe I'll get more ;)
Yes! Oh man, you killed me with your interpretations of the music. Me and my friend used to give up trying to figure it out and just go with what we heard. Great results.
That was the best intro to a video I've ever seen
This game is seriously on my top ten games of all time.
Miss this game!
Found this video after searching for the soundtrack because the hello hello song was stuck in my head randomly. This game is nostalgic but also objectively a rly good game. Great video!
Loved this game. And great review! Disappointed to see there are no new videos from this channel in the last couple of years - showed real promise.
That intro was so good!! 😂 I mainly played half pipe on this game, I landed 1080s on good days. You definitely have to work for it but the spin tricks in this game looked so much more realistic than any other snowboarding game at the time. All tricks did
The drum and bass is excellent.
The music in this game is what I call _snowboarding music!_
Not that lame relaxing piano stuff that some snowboarding games insist on using, but actual fast and intense heavy metal and dance/techno tracks.
Great intro! Loved this game back in the day.
I've played this game so much I basically have the entire game committed to muscle memory. Back when I used to play this, I eventually learned which jumps had weird landings and what angle I needed on the board in order to stick the landing, and yeah there's quite a few that don't entirely make sense. The ice half-pipe on deadly falls is also a *real* annoyance, you can forget trying to maintain any high level of control there.
this was my childhood, i remember the one like all of sudden drop being impossible
thanks for noticing this game
Respect for the intro.
Love this review dude. Waver race 1080 and excitebike are still some of the best racing games out there bc they beautifly skirt the line between arcade and simulation! The landing mechanics may be difficult to get good at but once you understand them its probably the most rewarding snowboard experience to this day. It really respects the sport. I really hope they bring some new games to the table. Btw 1080 is gradient sensitive so at 7:05 you asked why you fell and its bc you were leaning too far forward. Just lean back a bit and your good. It was always a problem spot for me up until I got it on the Wii U lol.
🤣🤣 the lyrics of the songs almost killed me lol
Dude the intro was epic and so funny. I would have laughed even harder if the player would've backtracked from the boards back to the rider selection, "FINE THEN!" lmao!
I was so hype when I did my first 1080. Eventually, I became an expert and could do them practically at will.
that intro was so cool bro! you made my day, 1080 on the n64 it is.
1080 Snowboarding, Top Gear Rally & Star Wars Episode 1 Racer. I was lucky enough to own all three in my childhood.
I actually had the same ones to lol.
I miss my childhood. One of my best game in my life👍🏻
Great review, wish I had the game back in the day for my N64. Btw, that snow effect is mesmerizing.
It sucks this channel didn't get more views. This guy had some talent
he easily could if he started a new channel, unfortunately thats how UA-cam works, this quality would pop now easy on a fresh channel
one thousand and eighty snowboarding almost as epic as these reviews, bring um back!!!
Haha you're the man. Love this game, even today. Rented it several times from blockbuster and bought the same copy when they clearanced out the N64 stuff
I grew up in Colorado and at the time this came out, me and my sister were staying up in a cabin in the middle of a blizzard way up in the mountains. This game was the perfect companion piece
Very good point about the music in the background of replay mode- it was so good I used to think about it when I snowboarded in real life!
Lmfao this is fantastic. Agree about replay music. That, the song before the main menu, and maybe the lodge brought back hella nostalgia. 94 kid here
This game was my childhood, I busted it out all the time to play it alone or with my dad! 😊
I like your style, man. Please keep making more videos!
I wish Nintendo would make a modern 1080 snowboarding game! The graphics would be amazing!
Dude your editing is on point and that intro! Very creative! Subbed! 👍👍👍
This was one of the most pleasurable reviews I've ever watched.
Such an awesome review man! I loved this game, definitely one of the best for its day. I remember staying up all night to unlock the Panda, forgot how though
Oh god....the intro had my dieing...rofl. This was my childhood and I totally remember when you had to choose the characters. I lol'd.! Great video, subbed! :)
wow memory lane
shayla a. We can play 1080 together. 😍
@@therealfrisco3859 shoot ya shot lmaoo
This is such a great review! Very glad to have found this channel!
great review! this channel needs to spread!
Amazed you only have 6k subs this was really well made man
its been a while since this video came out, but 1080 was one of my favorite game on n64. Never been able to make a 1080 at that time. It seems its on switch n64 virtual consol now. I should try again there or whip my N64 and play again! Love the intro and the production value is very nice too!
I was amazing at this game back in the day. I could execute perfect runs during racing. And I could destroy high scores. Half pipe was my shit though and I had massive high scores in it. I would do tons of 1080s on the pipe. Played the game so much I could do the tricks without even thinking. Still have the game and my original n64 gear, this makes me want to plug it in and look at my scores and see if I can pick it up again.
My neighbor buddy and I would always walk down to the video store by the supermarket and rent a game to play on his N64. This was one of them, and it was pretty fun. I remember thinking the snowboard trails decals were so advanced. We also used to always sing the one song "Cuh-cuh-cuh-call me... call toll free now... ello, ello, ello... ello"
I loved this game back in the day and it looks much nicer than I remember
That intro was very good. Thank you for that.
Lol I’m pretty sure ur like 1 of 5 people that’d pronounce it one zero eight zero. It made me chuckle but I’m jk around. Great review 🤙
Loved this game. Not sure why this was randomly recommended. Did not regret watching.
Ooh can't wait for your Excitebike 64... that game had a lot of modes.
this gives me epic teen 2000s vibes, and the music is really helping
One of the best 1080 reviews
I just love how your board left a mark in the snow xD
Fantastic review!! Love that game!!
Awesome content as always
I haven’t watched the video yet but your review better be nothing short of glowing
great game, I listen to the soundtrack every time I go snowboarding
If only that new snowboarding game that recently came out was even close to the play style of 1080, I would be playing it now..
Never even heard of this game. Looks great and would have had a blast playing it!
Mousing over the preview thumbnail for this video had me seriously confused... I recognized the character select screen but swore it looked a little off. Of course all was revealed upon watching the intro, great job 😂
That is the game that got me into snowboarding when I was a kid.
there goes a spoon lol!
man I loved this game so much. really nice video.
This is such a good video, I'm astounded it only has 13,000 views.
Loved the intro. XD
Gotta love the killer music of this game.
This review is greatness.
i always look forward to new videos from you 👌
i remember playing this game when i was really young so i didn't know how to speak in english,, those were good times !
That intro was amazing
I subbed for the intro alone.
Omg I enjoyed this video soooo much xoxo I used to play this all the time, total nostalgic 90s moment xoxo at first I thought the beggining was a new version of the 1080° game lmfaoooo you never know nowadays lol
I'm binging your entire channel. I'm going to take my 360, ps3, ps4, etc to the 2nd hand store soon and swap them for a bunch of n64 stuff I'm missing. 1080, Waverace, top gear rally, etc!
This is the best review of 1080°, fun and hilarious ...also the only spot I seen music lyrics 😂
amazing video, favorite videogame ever
Amazing intro man lmao, memories
Really great video. Thanks for the genuinely interesting znd funny explanation
You should check out 1080s speedrunning community. Great group of guys
Con-grat-u-la-tions! Another funny video. Why it doesn't have 100000 views is beyond me. *Too bad*
Great Channel . Good Stuff. Thanks
I remember going home from school, throwing my backpack in my room, and telling my mom I'll do my homework later. Turn on the N64 and heard that opening track, AHH! School day didn't matter any more, I had a race with Ice Man to win.
Another good review
loved this, suscribed
Miss playing this game
back when pulling off a 1080 was a challenge!
work ya body work ya boday. dude that fuckin menu music is forever embedded in my brain. 1080 was among one of the very first video games I every played and i was obsessed with it. I remember thinking it looked so real!
This game was nuts
I love this game! I played too much in the 2000s.
The 1080º launch was announced on November 21, 1997 at the Nintendo SpaceWorld exhibition fair; until then the game's title was Vertical Edge Snowboarding. Before the game was released, journalists were able to play 1080º at the Nintendo Gamer's Summit in January 1998.
1080º was programmed by the English Giles Goddard and Colin Reed, developed and published by Nintendo, and produced by Shigeru Miyamoto. Goddard and Reed had previously programmed Wave Race 64, which sold over a million copies and was a huge commercial success. Its sequel, Wave Race: Blue Storm, featured characters from 1080º.
While developing 1080º, Goddard and Reed used a technique called "skinning" to eliminate the joints between the polygons that made up the characters. His schedule used a combination of standard animation and inverse kinematics, causing the characters to change their appearance during collisions based on what the character collided with, in which direction it collided, and how fast it was when the collision occurred.
Tommy Hilfiger's clothes and Lamar's surfboards appear throughout 1080º as corporate marketing. The 1080º soundtrack, with "techno and rappy beats" with "despicable and disheveled vocals" was composed by Kenta Nagata, who also composed songs for Mario Kart 64 and other Nintendo games

That intro was awesome lol
Please make more videos DomeCandy!
Intro alone gives you a sub 👍
I remember renting the game in my local Blockbuster and playing the hell of it in summer vacations.
game just released on Switch online service and I am loving it. Been a while since I played this masterpiece
had this game back in 98, lost it a few years later, re bought it back in 2008 ish when the wii came out, and just took it out a few hours ago to "re-live" the hype since the last time I touched it was around 2012 ish @_@ man, what an experience ~
Just found this channel but it's dormant 😔
