I really enjoyed your Hoobs videos. I just started playing around with Hoobs and got my Nest doorbell and thermostat to work on Apple Home. I hope you will consider doing more Hoobs videos - specifically, accessories (lights, switches, outlets) that may not have a plugin inside Hoobs. Keep up the good work!

Your video is excellent and I was able to add my older Nest cameras. I also have a new Google Nest doorbell (battery) that doesn't show up as it is only accessible through the Google Home app. Is it possible to add this app to control the new doorbell camera? I haven't had any luck. Thanks!

My understanding is that the battery-powered doorbells are not currently supported. If and when this changes I'll post an update.

Nothing yet as far as I can tell. There's an open issue on the plugin that's tracking the state of the support for these newer Nest cams: github.com/Brandawg93/homebridge-nest-cam/issues/440

Do you know that if you use a nest doorbell cam with HomeKit via hoobs if it will ring on home pods?
Hi, When attempting to link to google account, I get an error "Access blocked: Nest’s request is invalid" I can not find any help document to overcome this error.
It appears that Google has blocked off the login method used in the video. There's an issue tracking this here: github.com/chrisjshull/homebridge-nest/issues/575

Rob how do these devices get on between google assistant and apple home with hoobs? To the point I’ve found it best to avoid crossing the streams. Do you find the systems war with each other over room definition etc?
I don’t have GA but I’ve seen problems similar to this with Alexa and Home. In the end, I’ve just made Home my source of truth and decided to focus on that configuration.
After installing plug in/config, there is no option to sign into nest account . Suggestions?
In Homekit the doorbell camera only gave streaming image once or twice, but it showed unavailable soon after and I cannot get it to stream again. All switches are on. Bridge is restarted, didn't help either. Streaming is working in Nest app and in the Homebridge desktop it is showing me an image, not a black screen
Are you running on the Hoobs box or on your own hardware? Which version of Hoobs?
I was able to connect Nest Cam to Hoobs. However, I'm not getting any motion notifications or alerts in the HomeKit app? Are you experiencing the same?
I don't have a Nest Cam to test, but I do know that you have to explicitly enable notifications for each camera inside the Home app.
I have hoobs 4. Am I able to record HSV (like my other native HK Cameras) with a nest cam? And because I have hoobs, do I still need to pay for a nest account? Or can I stop paying for nest? Thanks again man!

I start with this HOOBS
I followed your steps and both my nets cameras and my first generation nest thermostat were installed
but in less than an hour the cameras stopped being seen and in less time the thermostat stopped working in homekit
I did not find a solution to be able to make it work
my next step was to return HOOBS to factory settings and delete everything
both in the homekit app
I did and followed your instructions again and it worked again
just for a while it disconnected again
What can I do, am I doing something wrong?
in HOOBS things work very well, the cameras and the thermostat

I want to explain how my internet is
I have my router from the internet company, that is connected to a TP system, link mesh DECO
there I have a dnns modem, streamlocator that directs to the united states and the connected HOOBS
I don't know if that is causing me a problem

Any advice for dealing with the blank pop up problem when trying to link account? Block pop ups off, multiple browsers.
Do you have any ad blocking running that could interfere with the Google domains?

So when you say multiple bridges you mean one hoobs device with multiple brides or "links" on the device, is that fair to say?
I just received my Hoobs today and have installed many plugins without issue. Now, I'm trying to install the Nest Cam plugin, and when I click Install, I see the first text in the script shows "unable to find plugin", which is the end message I receive as well. Is this plugin still available?
Hmm. It is, in fact I just helped a friend do his install a few days ago. Is it possible you're getting some ad blocking on your network/device?

Simple explainer - giving me more reason to consider a Hoobs bridge device. Curious is this will work with the battery operated version of the doorbell.
I believe it doesn’t work with the battery-powered doorbell I’m afraid.
I can’t get it to work with my battery or wired second generation nest products.
I just learned that the hard way yesterday. Since the new nest doorbell battery doesn't show up in the nest app, only the google home app, this plugin can't see it. I hope the developer updates this, or someone makes a plugin for the google home app exclusive devices
