My experience with green or red lasers is that in bright daylight neither one is that great. Shaded and lowlight the green definitely has an edge. The Shield is a nice looking gun. Given a choice I would go with the green laser version. Thanks for the video!
I got one for the wife about 3 weeks ago. She has carried her S&W 38+P for 7 or 8 years. But only having 5 rounds has allwase bothered me. So anyway as we started training so she can get used to this new gun. I started to realize I was shooting it more than her. In fact it's the first time a subcompact has felt secure in my hand. My hands are rather large so my everyday carry in the Glock 17. And it feels a little bit small in my hand. My Glock 21 gen 2.5 is a perfect fit for my hand but it's too big to carry everyday. I was so shocked how well controlled and comfortable this little handgun performed. I went and bought myself one and it's now my everything caring.
7/'18..I carry the same shield9 but I have the 'instant-on' viridian green laser unit. Draw the weapon and the laser automatically activates. This is my edc civilian carry. Laser turns off automatically when holstered. And with MagGuts +2, my cap. is now 9+1/10+1. Awesome!

Hey I was looking around on the viridian site. Does the laser fit both the old shield and the new 2.0s? Or are there separate laser sets for both models. Thanks
Me and the wife were at the store the other day trying to find a certain gun for her to carry because I was tired of her having to hulk around a beretta 92fs, and low and behold she picked this lil bastard up and immediately knew she wanted to carry it. Hell im 6’4 and even I like holding it. The grips on these guns are outstanding.

I have a few integrated lasers but when they break the whole gun needs to go to get fixed. I never buy them for that reason alone. To bed it’s a great idea when they work.

In most cases you will just point and shoot with out enough time to use the laser but incase you really needed it would be nice. Like shooting around a corner or something. I`m on the fence about either getting one with or without the laser.
I would say just considering all things the green laser model is the most well-equipped concealed carry pistol on the market today all you need is sites and it’s over it already has the grip it already has the laser and I don’t do weapon lights far too easy to be shot with that much light coming off so this is a good option
What are you talking about with weapon lights? A 600+ lumen weapon light is going not something an attacker is going to just stare into. A laser is a good too but there is nothing wrong with a weapon light, and plenty of professionals swear by them.
The built in laser is a problem if it breaks. You’ll need to send the weapon in to get it fixed. They tlr6 is my choice for both of mine. I guess you could probably fix it your self how ever. I really like the 18 degree grip angle .
Aren’t they drop in with a Allen wrench or tiny screwdriver ? I had to get a replacement for my Bodyguard and Crimson Trace just sent me a whole new laser.
