PURE MD-11 POWER!✈ What an Amazing Trijet Sound! Martinair, Lufthansa Cargo, UPS, FedEx & More!

Seen here are purely MD-11F aircraft taking off with their powerful GE CF6-80C2 or PW4000 turbofans, man what a sound!
The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 is an American wide-body airliner manufactured by McDonnell Douglas.
It has three engines, two under the wing and one in the tail of the aircraft. Making it a distinct aircraft. The MD-11 is an updated version of the older DC-10, it retains the basic trijet configuration of the DC-10 with updated GE CF6-80C2 or PW4000 turbofans. It has a slightly wider wing with winglets and its maximum take off weight was increased by 14% to 630,500 lb (286 tons). Its fuselage is stretched by 11% to 202 ft (61.6 m) to accommodate 298 passengers in three classes over a range of up to 7,130 nmi (13,200 km). It features a glass cockpit that eliminated the need for a flight engineer.
Unfortunately it failed to meet its range and fuel burn targets. The last of 200 aircraft was built in October 2000 after Boeing merged with MDC in 1997. While some were initially built as freighters, many were also converted and are in service with cargo airlines.
Most of the airlines who ordered the MD-11 for their long-haul passenger flights had replaced it with Airbus A330, A340, and Boeing 777 aircraft by the end of 2004. Sad to see them go, so the more reason to make a special video of it. ENJOY!! ⇊ For more info & Aircraft shortcuts⇊

Die MD-11 ist immer noch für mich einbeeindruckendes Flugzeug. Diese Maschine hatte beim Start eine Power die ich so in anderen Passagiermaschinen noch nicht erlebt habe.

The MD-11 truly is a masterpiece of a jetliner, I miss the times when they still carried passengers. By far my favorite was the KLM MD-11 at 15:10, though I didn't like noise that much especially the buzzsaw. Now the sound from the Lufthansa Cargo MD-11F at 7:25 is the sound I know and love, I can't get enough of that thunderous roar!

One of my all-time favorite aircraft. I always loved the tri-jets. Too bad they're only freighter versions still operating.
