PSA comes to mind when i see these guys. Use to catch these back in the early 70,s from SFO to LAX. They were loud and fast. You could feel the power from behind you at take off
My grandmother lived under the approach to Hobby Houston when it was the only airport and there were classic jets 707, 727, DC-8 , DC-9 3 minutes apart during peak hours....and you got used to it... the TV would lose reception and there was not replay " the murderer was ...kkkkkkkkkkk". a low take off loaded 727....shake the house... LOVED IT! Climbed the trees you could almost touch them .. Good times!!!!! Thanks for this flash back !!!!!
@@michianarailfan It is nice to see the 727s because some delivery companies still fly them. I remember from here in Chicago, I flew 727-200s with United Airline and the one thing that I always had a small problem is working in the First-Class galley and it was difficult pulling out and placing the meals trays from the meal carts in the ovens. I just could not easily move the meals fast enough to start the cooking... It was crazy but after flying and dealing with the problem I survived and continue on!!! Hahahah! I still laugh at that about that great aircraft..
I also use to fly the old DC-10 aircraft as well. They were nice aircraft to fly also. Then when United retired those two aircraft from the fleet, I fell in love with the 747-400s and 777s. But then the 747s on the passenger side flying of flying here in the U.S. have been retired. So, now the 777-200s and 300s are the large wide body aircraft that are so nice to look at well. I remember the old DC-10s use to fly to Hawaii and that was a great trip back then in the 1990s.
First aircraft I ever flew on. I was a kid, but I remember it like it was yesterday!👍😉😄😄 They called them “Whisper Jets”, back then, because they were so much quieter inside the cabin during flight.
To be fair, it's not the aircraft engine manufacturers fault they have to be so quiet its all because of cry baby snowflakes who complain about the noise.
My first plane ride was on an Eastern Airlines 727 Charleston SC to Charlotte NC back in the 70s. Also flew Delta and National Airlines 727s from Charleston and back. That is probably the coolest airliner ever in my opinion. Piedmont Airlines also flew 727s into Charleston. United and American as well when they started serving Charleston's new airport terminal in the mid 80s.
Kalitta still flies these bad boys out of our County airport. I live about 14 miles away in the country and on a quiet night can hear when one of the 727s is spooling up and taking off. So loud compared to modern aircraft, but love the sound!
Cargo 727 IFL Group. Looks like they landed at the wrong airport! I flew asa Flight Engineer for over 5000 hours in ten years on those mostly flying cargo. I didn’t realize any company was still operating them in the US. Thanks for the video.
The first jet ride I ever had was on a United 727 from Indianapolis to St. Louis. That is a short ride, as soon as they get up to altitude they started coming back down. Maybe it was a TWA 727, can't remember. After that I had quite a few rides on them. You rarely had a hard landing on those because they had a tendency to float down the runway for while on those triple slotted flaps. Made for a greaser touch down nearly every time. Plus wings were low to the ground like DC-9s which made for nice ground efect.
I know! It was so cool recording that thing! It was so loud I had to figure out how to cover my ears while recording too! And plus I could hear it for miles!
Nice work dodging the fence to get the footage! I first flew on 727's in the 1960's as a child and my last 727 flight was on Delta in 1999 or very early 2000.
Worked 727-100's including DB Cooper bail from Northwest 727-100, I believe it was N838NW, and 727- 200 and -200 LRs. As A /E mechanic and avionics technician from 1983 - 2003.
In the 80's flights out of San Antonio International Airport had to cope with noise abatement issues and prior to departure on a 727 the pilot came across the intercom to advise passengers of a steep climb to altitude. No kidding it was like Maverick leaving the aircraft carrier!
@@davidkavanagh189 no problem, I seem to reply rather quick most of the times - they were there for about an hour or so, from what I saw, it looked like pallets with somethin inside
The 727 is a work of art from nose to tail...
Nothing but thanks to you for bringing that video of the mighty 727, my favorite plane of all...
It was beautiful, and your welcome!
Sleekest, most beautiful jetliner ever built.
Totally agreed!
ТУ 154,ТУ 134
Mach .9 and it looked it.
A gorgeous bird ....when Boeing used to care about building solid reliable work horses
What about the Super VC-10, one of the sleekest but noisiest (for a subsonic aircraft) ever?
Great Camera Work. I like the constant bouncing around.

Why thank you!

Keep up the good work. I patted the underbelly of number 1832 in the Renton factory. I think 1984
Looking so nice coming in for landing. Thank you for sharing a beautiful aircraft.
My pleasure!

Damn thise Jt8d engines are polkuters but i love them. So loud so much power . And so cool that 727 CRUISES AT 600 MPH. FAST PLANE. WANNA FLY ON ONE
They are very cool! Thanks for watching!
So cool and so close to home! I love the 727! Such a Beautiful Old Girl.
My first plane ride was on an Eastern Airlines 727 "Whisper Jet" from Philly to Miami. I LOVED IT!
This AC started its life with Eastern Airlines
Love my Eastern Airlines!
The JT8d did not whisper 😎
I remember hearing this come in and take off. I can't remember the last time a 727 was in Muskegon

727s are supposed to be loud. Not like these modern day fart in the wind storm jets we have now.
To be fair, it's not the aircraft engine manufacturers fault they have to be so quiet its all because of cry baby snowflakes who complain about the noise.
Absolutely Gary!
The three Pratt and Whitney JT8Ds sound awesome. Spooling up into a thunderous roar on takeoff - the way jets are supposed to sound.
The folks who buy a house at the end of a runway and then complain about the can go jump as far as I’m concerned.
They build airplanes today to be quiet and fuel efficient but slow and boring:(
