I had the same extraction issues with the Axe in .410, and I had the same issues with a Mossberg .410. With the Axe, I used some Remington Dri-Lube which is a Teflon-based lubricant, on the first half inch of the breech side. I tried it out and the Henry's all get better the more that you use them. I personally think that this is an excellent home defense gun. My more recent trip with this not- a-shotgun was a joy, and it worked flawlessly with no failures to extract, despite the fact that I was using the same ammo.
