Hi
Hi
yes clearly more long range !
I'm not sure if it will go well, according to the past...
Yes...yes
Garand Thumb: "The Intervention is an expensive gun and we cant afford one now"
Kentucky: "So here is my custom Intervention!"
Well maybe if they didn't spend so much of their budget on military cosplay they might be able to afford one.
Lol@@mercuryredstone2235
Lol epic
I was thinking the same thing.
Demo ranch beat them both, so they can have the silver metal
Garand thumb : this .375 CheyTec is huge.

Yep, show him what a real caliber is.

and .950 Fat Mac.
.375 has a better ballistic coefficient though. But that doesn't matter if your target distances don't exceed 50 feet.
I remember back then in my time many years ago when I was still active in the military...
They issued this weapon to us to test at the range. We had to go through a lot of practices, one of them being a very difficult one: a 360 noscope jump off a ladder from a crane onto a target around 200 yards away. Good times.

this is not a competition of who has the most guns ? is it?
@@M22-19 Scott has more guns if you count by the total mass of projectile all his gun shoot combined 😎
Meanwhile Garand Thumb went and bought a massive ranch as his personal playground to stretch the legs of any rifle he gets a hold of.
It's probably the most iconic gun in video game history just because of the original MW2 old youtube clips of trickshots with it and just amazing to use in game in general.
I knew this was the rifle that was in MW2 and MW3
Damn first Garand Thumb, and now Scott??? The Intervention on a tour rn lol.
except 375 vs 408
Funny how the exact same thing happened with the KS-23
Meanwhile Demo with an almost 2 year old video
Uhh what makes you think that Kentucky bought that

If i had a nickel for every time a famous Gun Tuber made a video on the CheyTac M200 Intervention on the week of October 20th 2024, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
The 2 nickels quote will always be culturally relevant
Trying to get rid of them. They’ve been out for a long time and I’m sure there is a surplus of them. Given the price.

Scott, you are the epitome of a big kid having fun which is why I have fun watching Kentucky Ballistics.
.
Like a computer, everybody reverts to their 'Default' position. Training for example.
When things are all a kerfuffle and I revert to my default, it is as a Professional Hunter in Ethiopia, in the 1960s.
.
My dad used six .50's against the enemy, so he understood high velocity, and so we didn't use British double barrel rifles to fling pounds of lead at Big Game, we had a .378 Weatherby Magnum to knock them off their feet. And my beloved .378 was comfortable doing scope sighted rifle stuff at 300 yards and beyond, where a 500 Nitro-Express was well into using artillery calculations.
.
So I, and maybe other hunters, would like to see what you may not have room to do and would cause you a great deal of production difficulty, a shoot-off between your cannons at hunting ranges. Terminal velocity comparisons, which may be more about bullets, but I don't know those things, but what the bullet does to the gel block at 300 yards should be different.
.
Might be fun.
Scott... we need to have a talk... there is NO SUCH THING AS OWNING TOO MANY GUNS.
Intervention COMPLETE!
2:22 “Just put a thumb in it.”
That phrase has been immortalized, and it’s practically a testament to what you’ve survived. And that’s always gonna make us smile.
I get it, and i also like it as a neat little meme thing but ngl it always makes me feel bad for his dad a little. That must have been rough for him.
Luckily it worked out for the better cuz the old man was on his game, Scott is rugged AF and the doctors were on point as well...but it could have easily been a horrible tragedy.
Great they don't focus on the negatives, only the positives, but yeah...i bet that really sucked for him in that moment...
Probably gonna hug my dad the next time i see him actually (just thinking of all the stupid things i did as a young man that could have resulted in my death smh)
@AnonymousNoNayme Well said 👍
I always know we will never get a chrono reading when Scott brings out a chronograph
i thought the same thing
He did do it a few times
I remember him legit using one once before but it didnt work properly, so he destroyed it :D
@@Unseen420 that’s what I mean 😂 like ever since the one single recording it’s been a running joke just to shoot it or put it in a wood chipper (one may be an exaggeration but that’s what it feels like at this point 😂)
I love it. Scott prefers to shoot things and skips chronos every time. I think its a subtle reminder to stop nerding over numbers, and start looking at *results* upon the target when it comes to gun performance.
Because end of the day, nobody cares what the chorno says. They care about what the weapon does to the target the user wishes to destroy.
I just want to give props to your editing and your raw humor. Love the video!
It's a reminder of the power we wield with such advanced technology, but also a reminder to handle it responsibly.

That furby gettin' stuck was a hoot. Thanks for including that.
The fact it's 31 pounds makes the fact that in COD MW2 you can sprint, jump, do multiple spins in the air and hit trickshots absolutely more hilarious.
In other news, when are you gonna do that? :^)
Scott Afterwards: "Oh sure, I don't mind you asking. This scar across my chest is from a hot 50 cal round that exploded, nearly took my life. Whats that? OH my legs? Yeah, no, I actually lost those doing a real-life High Rise 360 noscope with a fully loaded M200 Intervention a few years later. Yeah, it turns out you actually REALLY shouldn't do that.
Yep, you seem pretty athletic, let's see what you've got.
One reason why i dislike those cod-games... just feels like Sole generic asian meme-video: "everything Looks better at x3 the speed!"
I mean, my school bag weighs 50lb, and I can jump 6ft fences with it, but any higher than that starts to mess up my lower back for a couple weeks, so my guess is that he will be able to do a 9ft jump once with an empty magazine. It would be really cool to see him try that, but even cooler to see him hit anything.
9:35 😂😂😂😂I fricken knew it😂😂😂 he did not 0° in for that shot just winging it
It slowly dawned on me, the horror, when Scott pulled away from the chronograph. 😆

@maxnum1sgameclub263 Dude, the trash talk back then was amazing
8:19 I worked with a guy who carried a benchmade and refused to use it because it would dull the blade. Meanwhile I took my kershaw in to find a good sharpener and got the reaction "are you using this as a utility knife?"
I'm sure you were using it how any non-art knife (as in a custom knife in the $15,000 range intended to be invested) should be used, right?
@@Riley._.Pierce1 yep, mostly cutting urethane tubing and wire shielding for sensors and switches in a manufacturing plant. As for $15k, that's absurd. I knew a guy who bought damascus steel and made knives for his groomsmen's gift, I feel like that would be a bit more cost-effective.
I had 3 Benchmades. Never carried them as I have less expensive Spydercos and Kershaws, Bucks etc. Benchmade and Kershaw love to discontinue their knives, so the Benchmades stayed in the safe. Had them for about twelve years. Recently sold them due to bidenomics. Doubled my money. But with inflation, I may have broke even.😂
Have me a cheap Benchmade Vex, broke 15 years ago. I salvaged and rehilted the blade with two pieces of iron scrap and some bolts, it's right next to me at this very moment, still works just fine and shaves when treated to a grindstone.
@@bjorntrollgesicht1144 good on you for repairing vs tossing. My husky self-adjusting pliers had the rivet break, just so turns out a correctly-sized cotter pin is the exact diameter of the rivet to make them still function. Been a year and still using them daily.

Practically every time Scott takes the chronograph I know what's going to happen to it. So deliciously obvious. Thank you Scott for your great videos. Every time a joy!
So the original bullets where CNC machined proprietary copper-nickel alloy solids called " balanced flight" projectiles . There was a 305 grain bullet at about 3500 fps and the 419 grainer at about 3000 fps. There are also military bullets with tungsten carbide penetrators . After about 1000 yards , the 408 has more energy than a 50bmg and is capable of defeating anything the 50bmg can unless specialty bullets are needed ,like explosive rounds . The case was given a thicker web area and redesigned internal geometry vs. the 505 gibbs. The cartridge/m200 combo was proven to give sub-moa accuracy beyond 2500 yards . Doppler radar testing was used to verify ballistics at the army test range ,Yuma Arizona . The one truly comparable round to the .408 cheytac is the .416 barret . Steyr however has a secret squirrel military round that's even more potent , the .460 Steyr . Idk that it's ever been available in the USA , but it uses a modified .50bmg case necked down to about .45 caliber and drives a 600 grain solid bronze bullet to 3000 fps.
Get this info to the top
In theory ... data have never been available to the public , balanced flight is .... a ...... and they compare ''match bullet'' with military bullets too .
Very interesting post. This should be pinned at the top.
Must be hella accurate if each bullet is cnc precision made.
