20:40 I was surprised to see how shocked they were at the sight of a blood filled condom. For some reason, I expected them to know that it's common practice in cinema and television to employ such things to simulate oozing gunshot wounds. The condom is resistant enough to allow for free and easy movement of the actors until their characters are shot without breaking (well... usually!), but fragile enough that a little remotely detonated squib will not only puncture it, but produce a small, but visible, splash of the fake blood contained therein, and large enough (*ahem*... gentlemen) to accommodate more blood than required for the little splash, allowing for some gory oozing for the R rating.

So I’m curious As a warhammer 40K fan, one of the weapons is called a stalker bolter which is basically a battle rifle mixed with a sniper rifle where instead of your typical propellant they use gas based propellant instead to increase its silencing capability and so I’m just wondering if such a thing were to actually be theoretically feasible or possible in which the gunpowder is simply replaced with a combustible gas propellant firing a solid slug with a suppressor at the end?
You probably could make a fuel/oxygen aerosol and use it to fire a bullet. Downsides are the aerosol would almost certainly be less energy dense than a solid propellant like regular gunpowder resulting in a less powerful round. As for increasing its silencing capability, the sound of a gunshot is primarily created by air displaced by the bullet, the sonic boom of the bullet and the explosion inside the chamber. If you're talking a sniper rifle that has to punch through WH40K levels of durability at a distance, you can't really compromise on any of those things, so physically it's not possible. If it was just a regular air rifle with a larger than normal projectile then it could kindof work, but you wouldnt want to use it as a sniper rifle.

im not good with ammo or guns so im confused what makes this ammo experimental / different compared to ammo that already has knubs on the rims that split off on different directions, im pretty sure it exists for shotguns already and also like 9mm i think i seen also. is it cuz its a slug? or is it better at going through armour before it splits off or something? idk if im just wrong or sound stupid but im curious
I don't know a ton either, but from my understanding, these rounds are experimental because one guy made them, versus a company. Those rounds you're talking about I'm pretty sure are G2 Research R.I.P. rounds, or "Radically Invasive Projectile" rounds. Those and others like them are meant to break apart and cause several wound cavities. These slugs seem to be slugs with weird shapes that look scary, and are scary. I don't think you sound dumb or are wrong.
That one 'worked' way better than I thought it would. Amazing results 👍🏻 and looked bad-ass at the same time. One shot, one kill for sure Thank you Jeff & OG
A redesign on the outside of the crown would make these go right through that vest like butter. Maybe redesign it to peel back and fall off. on impact, to make the inside slimmer. The projectile left the weapon with more mass, and hit the target with less. So it's still moving with larger mass momentum or inertia?
Awesome video loved the skull Jeff, it was worth it showing what that slug can do. Well done Tim from Ballistic Machinist. OG keep those slugs flying..
i've never actually been intimidated by shotgun ammo but this slug is exceptionally terrifying the notches and grooves looks like it would carve flesh out like an ice cream scoop and then the notches fold in on itself clamping the slug to whatever stops it dude this is the sort of ammo that should probably be banned by the geneva convention

I'll be doing roadside mechanical repairs in remote areas, and the chance to offer the services of a professional shooter to property owners would be another source of income besides the mechanical work. We'll see what happens I guess. Anyway, love your work...and as for those 'big' channels, they become boring real fast. It's like watching a bunch of delayed development kids playing 'armies' in the backyard. You guys are different. And RIP Danny. He was a good man.
Hey buddy… if you need someone to be older than you to be a fan of…and youre older than OG here…who do you like?
That was quite the slug! and OG as entertaining as ever!
When the DOOM music kicks in lol .. great to hear at dooms gate 👏 👍. You have some of the best sound choices 👌 awesome vid as always
thank you
I thought it was Metallica at first.
@FredFredrickson-bip-bang lol I played to much doom as a kid not to recognise it lol.. Geoff has some of the best audio choices.
Dude! I've been watching TFM for like 8 or 9 years now and never noticed that!
@@thesnipercat6792lol you will now 😊
Man you guys are an absolute blast. It's like watching a combination of ballistic science blended with stand-up comedy.
I just can't get enough of you guys, keep up the good work and entertainment gentlemen... (PS I use the word gentlemen very loosely LOL)
thanks Robert
im not good with ammo or guns so im confused what makes this ammo experimental / different compared to ammo that already has knubs on the rims that split off on different directions, im pretty sure it exists for shotguns already and also like 9mm i think i seen also. is it cuz its a slug? or is it better at going through armour before it splits off or something? idk if im just wrong or sound stupid but im curious
Look at all the taoflederfolks
"A lady in a dance club in Carson City . . ." Tooooo funny.
That one 'worked' way better than I thought it would. Amazing results 👍🏻
and looked bad-ass at the same time.
One shot, one kill for sure
Thank you Jeff & OG
'i didnt remove the brain, but at a scene with the hollow skull' Holy fuck OG, im so sorry you had to see and deal with that shit.
OFFICER GREGG SOUNDS LIKE THE ACTOR David Koechner!!! 😮😂😂
In my eyes yall are one of the big channels great video guys
thanks!
I can't say how perfect adding "At Doom's Gate" to the side shot was.
The gel block wound channel was amazing! That should be the thumbnail!
Money well spent guys! Love watching OG with his quips, always cracks me up!
thanks!
A redesign on the outside of the crown would make these go right through that vest like butter.
Maybe redesign it to peel back and fall off. on impact, to make the inside slimmer.
The projectile left the weapon with more mass, and hit the target with less. So it's still moving with larger mass momentum or inertia?
I don't think they were ever designed to do that but to function like you saw on fleshy targets.
@@taofledermaus, I don't think so either, but I think they could be made to do so.
Probably why they weren't allowed to market.
Love it, you two are awesome together, really make the videos fun to watch. 👍🏻🔥🤘🏻
Thanks so much!
Awesome video loved the skull Jeff, it was worth it showing what that slug can do. Well done Tim from Ballistic Machinist. OG keep those slugs flying..
thanks Lance
Those are nice targets. Thanks Patreon supporters. This projectile is great and should find it's way to the market.
Wow! Those Rook slugs are AMAZING! Very entertaining video guys!
thank you
OG off his meds for this one, and we love it
i've never actually been intimidated by shotgun ammo but this slug is exceptionally terrifying
the notches and grooves looks like it would carve flesh out like an ice cream scoop
and then the notches fold in on itself clamping the slug to whatever stops it
dude this is the sort of ammo that should probably be banned by the geneva convention
Tools and Targets would be proud of that block of gel.
He's very good at recasting those
5:58 Came for the Mass Accelerator demo but stayed for the jokes. On the $200 skull, yes, more skull please. 💀💥👓🧠
Greg just sharing traumatic stories like it's nothing. Hard core.
Officer Greg that dude is something else he makes your videos so enjoyable 😂
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Richard. Glad you like the show.
Holy shit! That is a glorious gnarly projectile!
Ohhh yes, the carson "gal"🤔.. Lil old miss four knees... 😂
That Philippine joke was funny. I almost spit my coffee 😂
I am in the Philippines and i can verify, same condom is still here, same gal too.. her name is Stayorrhea, but it is never gone so quickly…
I love that you were using ULINE catalogs for targets. I ordered some cardboard boxes from ULINE back in 2009 (a ONE TIME ORDER) and now they send me those huge phone-book-sized catalogs every six months. Oh well....target practice time!!!! :)
Been watching a lot of Reno 911 lately, so the Carson city ref at the end cracked me up
That's definitely some Wild-ass Brass right there.
Greg was in top form!
So glad to see a new episode. Always like the style of the videos you guys do. Miss the other guy who passed away. R.I.P. bigman
thanks!
Wow expensive and they expire, not worth it! Great video though.
The humor is top-notch!!
thanks!
BACK TO THAT STORY ABOUT PLAYING BANJO FOR A MIDGET BARBORSHOP QUARTET
23:30 I'm surprised that Officer Gregg didn't mention the old lady cartoons that he would have seen in my Penthouse collection. Especially the way those 'tassels' were flapping about.
