"The Kenyan trio from Alabama" that's not a phrase you hear every day.
How hard is it to buy a gimbal for the cameraman sitting on the back of the ATV?
They've got the resources because we get multiple cameras, but it's like the ATV camera is hard mounted and is sooooo bouncy. Makes me feel nauseous.
Good race!
I ran in a 5K with them it was 30 degrees and windy and he still dressed in the same clothes
😂😭
@R R wtf kind of mentality is that? They can live whereever they want. if they live in America, then they are Americans
R R I can tell your a white supremacist
“It’s not a 5K, it’s not an 8K, it’s a 10K so it is a longer race” commentators answer the most important questions
Yeah! I didn’t know that a 10K was longer than an 8K until they said that
Thanks, Booger. Back to you, Joe.
There’s not much to say while watching people run 🏃♀️
Wow the cart dominated this race. In first from start to finish.
It's sample later tested positive for PEDs though, so its result was nullified
Dane Potmo your sentence should be nullified
@@chris71388 I know. That weird, incorrect, "it's" contraction I started the sentence out with is annoying. Errors like that are annoyng. Not annoying enough to edit, but annoyng enough to cause a frown when I look at it.
@@danepotmo2513 we forgive you
Dane Potmo it was too good to be true 🤧
Don’t call it a sign of weakness. It’s call tired, respect the man
That One facts
Beetlejuice how do you know he wasn’t fighting his hardest?
@@jackm8556 dont disrespect beet :(
You're weak when you're tired they're synonymous
@Beetlejuice And he would still dominate you. He's far more successful than you i bet, the fact that your bragging on a youtube comment section proves that
29:44 holy shit, my man ate it hard in the middle right and they straight up dragged him away like a dead body 🤣
😂😂
Dude was exhausted😂
Yeah, it seems brutal. But its to prevent him from getting spiked a million times.
17:07 really gives you a sense of how fast these guys are going
Imagine paying this much for shaky camera footage
They should have a gimbal attached to a spring loaded shock absorber on the back of the ATV. That’s what happens when the NCAA takes the lowest bid on the broadcast.
Even my state xc livestream was better than this😂
Damn near made me nauseous
Uh yeah.....imagine
29:48 they literally be draggin' his a**
We don’t want him to get spiked by the other finishers
they literally keep a supply of body bags on hand for the corpses that inevitably result from this event
This had to be the flattest course I've ever seen
Yup even my cross country is not flat the first step you take is up hill
Tyler Bass exactly. My season and all time PR was at greater Louisville this year.
@@tylerbass7133 for me that I do it in Toronto none of our courses are this flat, we have hills or at least some change in elevation
Tyler Bass I ran there a week or so ago and disagree because usually when we race there, there are 500 runners
Cool Vlogger 83 yeah I agree that it’s always a huge race if it’s at Tom Sawyer but the course is just so flat that a ton of people pr
They kept saying "no grant Fisher in the lead pack" but they forgot about Grant Fischer from Colorado State in the green. He was in the lead pack the whole time
u mean jerrell mock
Cameron Dean you are correct
The time between Night and Day was pretty short here.
This is such an underrated comment 😂
I am disappointed that they picked a location that required them to do laps.
Hey at least it was flat
@@thatpianoman4350 relatively, I suppose
@@mattbman nah, like extremely flat
Wait for this to be taken down and only the 6 min finish is there
Congratulations, J. Knight. Great interview, plus the comments about your parents being. The best to you in the future
Being from Flagstaff where NAU is, its funny hearing bout NAU all the time when it comes to collegiate cross country and just how dominate they are. NAU and Flagstaff rarely get recognized for anything lol
Justus R Well, they have one of the best brew / pizza places that we’ve been to!
Dude, we discovered Pluto!
it's a little late, but flagstaff is famous in the running community, along with boulder co
"man those leaves are moving huh" riveting commentary
Commentary was not as bad as I expected, but it’s never as good as I hope.
Yea this is one of the better U.S. commentaries
Gotta be demoralizing being one of the guys 30 seconds away from finishing and the winner is already recovered and being interviewed.
Jake Demian that is frustrating
NAU’s 7 had a crazy day. Almost dead last through the first half and look at where that dude finished.
My favorite sport...congrats to all who participated.
Blows my mind that Kipchoge maintained this pace (but 5 sec/mile faster!) for over 4X the distance. I know he was on concrete and he was drafting a set of elite pacers the whole way, but... wow. As fast as these guys are, he's on a whole other level.
“right there with kniiiuhhet” 23:48
bro that’s so funny
bro that’s so funny
bro that’s so funny
bro that's so funny
bro that's so funny
lol, everyone is so tired when they finished the race they barely move away despite the organizers telling them to clear the finish line.
Sage Hornet It means they have all seven of their runners through that split
Racing is exhausting
would watch on tv. Love nature scenery and running
D3 nationals will be here this year!
Teacher: it’s the last day of school guys
LAST BELL RINGS
everyone in the school 0:20
What a great sport, wow
interesting how coaches or staff were prepared to carry guys off at the end, and several runners basically collapsed and were dragged out of the finish zone
some gave it their all
it's amazing how strong we are, and yet a slight change puts us over the edge sometimes
Damn at the end there some of those dudes left everything on the field and collapsed, I would too having ran that hard with that amount of wind.
Lorenz A I would’ve coughed up blood, longest I’ve done was 3 miles in 24min I was tasting blood lmfao
Andrew Nueva i ran 3 miles and saw my dead grandfather calling me
My best 5k is 24 minutes. They ran twice that in 7 extra minutes lmao
haha
that's what I was thinking
Speed up then sir
I’m 10 and a half y/o and I can run a 5K in 20:30 My 10K best is 39:52
@@bigbrainblake1289 not bad
@@bigbrainblake1289 how can your best 5k be 20:30 when you've ran faster back to back 5ks running a 39:52 10k ??
28:17
No need to thank me
These videos inspire me
Anyone catch the voice crack at 23:50?
29:46 i'm pretty sure i know who lost the race
Northern Arizona University Track alumni, go NAU!
BREAKING NEWS SO OLD, THIS IS HISTORIC
Steve Prefontaine won by a different strategy. About half way through the race he puts everything he has into it and tries to hold on till the finish. So if anyone is going to beat him they are not going to have enough energy left to sprint near the finish. His famous quote was "if you are going to beat me you will have to bleed to do it."
Kigan tried to do that in this race, but it didn't work. It is awesome that Pre kept paces honest, but I feel that the NAU guys were already at an honest pace here. You weren't going to just blow them away like that and make them suffer. They were already on the pain train.
Crazy to watch this and see all the Tinman Elite guys racing each other.
True runners know what takes to win.. I loved every bit of it indeed . Great finish ..
They lowkey look like the walking dead as they finish
29:47
🤣
@@yoursilly2106
Is this one where he trips and falls and the two organizers grab each hand and drag him away? Hillarious! Played that part twice before I saw your comment.
@@mscardioqueen lol yea
@@mscardioqueen I laughed my ass off at that part 🤣🤣
Lmao @ the officials pulling all the fallen bodies out of the way 🤣🤣
only a lil late 🙌🏻🙌🏻
The beginning is always funny to watch, looks like a straight up mob running for the hills to freedom lol
Yea I’m always gonna remember in our neighborhood that one older kid is still out there he lead this sport for years lol
we are training cross country!!!! and decided to watch this
Canada represent! This is my favourite race
NAU looked solid. Impressive.
Anybody else noticing how many runners are collapsing or nearly passing out at the end of the race? Lots of coaches stepping in to help them out of the path
Here after Nico Young and Drew Bosely ran it back
Holy shit the finish line is so damn chaotic😂
29:23 Steven Fahy in the Stanford jersey. Sometimes featured on Emma Abrahmsom.
Me and the boys when we race to the location so we won’t be in for tag:
Here before they shorten this to 6 minutes
0:32 ROLL TIDE
the start looks so cool
i’m watching this race and then i’m realized hold up i’ve ran at this place 😂
29:16 Spencer from the athlete special. He got 10th.
Edit: I thought it was Spence 😂. My quality is just really bad, I tried to make out who it was. My bad
That’s not even Spence lol
😂 wondering how many ppl would notice
29:44 so many runners just being dragged on their feet
Que calidad de atletas, increíble, maravillosa carrera. Saludos desde Temuco Chile.
I am in middle school and I love xc and I can run the 2 mile in 14:14.2 and track one mile in 6:08
Justyn Knight reminds me of Morty
They are all faster than me. Now, I'm gonna watch a kangaroo boxing some random men.
What a race for justyn knight
Imagine finishing last out of all those people
Remember when we could race🥺
28:55 I think he shoulda started running a bit sooner 😂
What a great race.
My eyes are rolling like a jet propeller ! Thanks for the camera guys ! Something is called shock absorber attached to camera !!!! It happens when you bit cheap camera guys!
The people who disliked are jealous they can't do this sport
Didn’t know this race was in my hometown
I'm sorry, but this isn't 'cross country', this is grass-track. Where are the hills and the woods, the mud and rocks? I ran in Northern Vermont and the bulk of every course was Hills, woods, rocks and mud!
I’m from Chicago and cross country should mean running across skyscrapers. Not “hills, and mud”! Mud has nothing to do with the country.
Cross country is the best.
Let’s go cuse!!!! I’m actually a cross country runner for modified Liverpool and I just finished my second year going into varsity I hope I can make it up there some day!!
Bro Liverpool NY?
Gabriel Dauerheim uh yra
Aidan Schaefer nice I used to run for auburn cross country
Gabriel Dauerheim that’s cool
Bravo a vous tous
Imagine how scary it would be to be those people to raise the flags to start the race and having like a 100 athletes sprinting towards you 😂
Oi my man Spencer
POV; watching the original GAS GAS GAS after Andrew Day and Matt Baxter mentioned it after the 2022 championship
Can’t with this camera. I’m getting motion sickness
You see this is what America is all about not all this divisiveness a president who's insane just everyone identifying as fellow college students and enjoying the day
I remember doing 10K back in highschool, that shit hurt
I have my first cross country race tomorrow for my middle school
Camera needs to be stabilized 🤦🏻♂️
I was all proud of my 40min 10k pr until i saw these times....lol
Jonathan Santarelli that’s still impressive, most Americans can barely walk to their local McDonald’s without taking a break to catch their breath.
PJSWAG211 I mean my local McDonalds is 9 miles away, so I guess it would make sense.
I like how they are saying to move out of the way after sprinting 30+ min they should try to do that and see
Coulda been fixed with a longer run off area, got the coaches and bystanders are so close after the line.
Aaliyah 3 lmfaooo, I once tripped on my own self. Like when you run for so long and you can’t feel your legs I tripped on my legs
amazing so many people
The very slowest guys could kick our asses
I hit a half mile on the course and my body is wrecked. Just don't understand how these guys do this!
These runners from this year were looking at are still out there Thas crazy this sport helped me build my fantasy basketball teams tho
The announcers were just too focused on Grant Fischer and not the actual races
Do runners wear different shoes for running on grass. Looks like a nice race
AWildBard xc spikes
@@erickhan6349
Thanks, I didn't know about that, but it seems like grass would be nice and soft, but also very slippery if you want to run a race.
AWildBard exactly
Filmed with iPhone 3G ??
That’s so much people
2 Olympians in the top 5. Damn
29:40 cooper coming in.. YEWWW thats my boi! @cooperteare @bencrawford
Of course this is in my state
Kentucky
Crazy to think some of those guys were averaging a 4:40-5 minute mile over 6 miles. I average a 5:15 for 5k and that’s even giving it my all.
That is why it is D-1
Look at that wind!
That wind cannot be fun.Thats not a breeze.Thats a wind.Look at those flags and the leaves.
29:52
RIP
Draggin bodies
Half of them are dying across the finish line 😂😂😂 looks like tons of fun
