Coming up on 7 years post collegiate xc and gosh do I miss it. It's strange how during those times you don't really enjoy the process as much as you should. It was always "what's next" and looking to the future but then it's your last xc meet and all of a sudden it all hits you...Would give up so much to just have another race with my team. Enjoy those track workouts, tough hill workouts, long runs, and everything in between. Trust me. You'll miss it one day.

I love this video, it really simplifies what cross country is all about. We as runner we go through hell in practice we beat ourselves to the breaking point, we reach the limits of our bodies and mental capacity and see others grind so hard and achieve their goals is remarkably emotional, I’m tearing up right now, you can clearly feel all the emotions all the feelings those young runners are feeling after the race. It’s been two weeks since my cross country season has ended and OMG I missed it already. I haven’t ran in a year and a half due to health issues. Running is everything to me. This broke my heart 💔. But also motivated me.

I played football instead of running cross country in high school and this video is making me regret that decision. A wonderful team sport.

Do it bro just remember to train slowly but consistently. Watch the joe Rogan clip about training. It's about not wearing yourself out and being consistent

People seriously underlook long distance running. "Oh, it's just running, its easy" no. It's more than that.
