W NCAA for the early upload
Yes huge W
W rizz
Insane stuff from Oklahoma State. 5 runners in the top 15 is beyond incredible!
Did you know that Adams State put 5 in the top 5 in 1992? Both of these are ridiculously good lol
OMG!! I thought he retired. As a Browns and Buckeyes fan, I've disliked him with extreme prejudice, but a huge shout out to T. Brady of UM for being 40th at the 6k split! 7 Super Bowl titles, hundreds of millions of dollars, supermodel wives, and he's Top 40 at the XC Championships.
His athleticism is simply endless
Lol
His place of finish is lower than his age!
narrowly edging out country superstar luke combs
thank you for posting the full races immediately! it is amazing
NCAA gets All America for quick posting of an outstanding meet. Congratulations to the champions: Graham from Harvard, Oklahoma State University. Outstanding performances!
5 in the top 15 is crazy
GO POKES!
Daamn! that was epic. Nico's face looked pained from the get go. Graham has such composure, well done
Every race he does
Graham had a phenomenal race. He'll of course remember this accomplishment for the rest of his life! What a race!
Nico didn't have the best race, he's still a phenomenal runner & his team did AH - MAY - ZING, placing 5 runners in the top 25 - most other years NAU would've won. It just was OSU did amazing - er. 😂with their African runners.
Is that even legal?like aren't runners supposed to be legit students@@jupeter24
Nico has given up on training and self care for wokeness and homosexual sin
Excited for graham. Always loved competing against him in high school. Great guy.
No you didn't
@Dvnwee I actually did. He went to a school called Athens academy. I went to a school in their region and ran against him in track and cross country several times.
not about you. nobody cares about you. i raced against 100 olympic gold metalists just this morning for 1 million dollars and won. but it's not about me. he is good, you are a nobody.
@@Dvnweewhy don’t u believe that 😂
@whitechoco1170 you might have been there but you probably sucked
I love the commentary, I never thought there was so much strategy in cross country. When I ran I always just thought about what pace I was at and that was it, I never thought about how I can help my team win
Graham's a beast!
Incredible total team effort from OSU after a heart breaking experience last year. Props to NAU for a maximum effort. They ran into a buzzsaw, but did not fall apart under pressure.
Former Division 3 runner Alex Phillip getting 17th place!
UNC family member here- We've loved having him, he's been killer!! A great teammate, spectacular athlete, outstanding leader for the Heels squad. I hope his COVID eligibility covers outdoor T&F, too, I'd love to see what he can do there!
I peeped that too!!!
@@allthingspi outdoor T&F is what got the most extra seasons! Alex could have two more outdoors if he is at UNC for two years. I'm a 2018 high school grad and if I had been lucky enough to stay in school, I could still be running this next track season. With only really missing the 2020 spring. It's pretty cool lol.
@@allthingspi I'm glad to hear all that about him though! I was in the same conference and he was always pretty nice
I was there, watched it in person, saw everything happen, I'm born and raised Texan, and still, watching this broadcast- the way Greg Metcalf and previously, Pete Watson, have built that team from the home grown Texas boys is nothing short of astounding. Six, seven years ago you'd never have seen half the UT squad from this season make any statement near the level of prominence they had in HS, now they're bordering on podium contention- And that's after weathering a coaching change, too! Speaks volumes to the team culture down in Austin
thank you for posting this race quickly! congratulations everyone!
The greatest sporting events of the year!
Congrats graham and all that hard work has paid off. A Georgia boy and a Chelsea fan! Graham Blanks, remember the name! USA
Let’s Go NM, way to go Samuel!
21:15 love the good will hunting reference 😂😂
I love the commentary comedy we need it
Anderson is witty and does a great job on the fly!
What fantastic coverage and race, cross country is here to stay!
"The smartest guy is going to win" that ended up being prophetic.
nope, he said post-race he ran like a "dumbass"
@@TheRealBrayoTv Yeah, he said that he felt like he was getting baited into covering a bunch of surges by the leaders at different times in the race, but that they didn't amount to anything, so he felt like he wasted energy. As an observer, I didn't see anything like that. Looked like he actually ran a pretty smart race. Guess being too hard on yourself is a quality of a champion.
i remember watching Josh mcdougal and Galen rupp battle it on “Versus” for natty champ. ESPNU and NCAA uploading instantly is great for the sport
I was there and it was such a cool atmosphere
I kept waiting for the Nuttycomb winner to be highlighted. They did finally at 3K) He looked so chill during this race. Many looked so pained from early on.
The Best Graham
Thanks...
Blanks attacked on the downhill at Nuttycombe as well. He was clearly the strongest here. Went with every move.
Best comintary. Stats/knowledge. Her knowledge of being there, setting up how to win!
I like how everyone is moving around :)
OSU absolute dominance
Great video!
Harvard man! That unusual to see. Congratulations!
Well get em next year NAU💪
GO POKES, glad to see a W after losing the tiebreaker last year
do these youngsters qualify by time ?
255 participants for the final ?.. that is awesome.
Habtom Samuel .. freshman wow
The country is broken into regions, each hosting their own qualifying race. The top teams and individuals from each region qualify for this meet.
Dropping like flies at the end there.
32:11 the way they carried that guy off the course like a dead deer
W Harvard!
400m in 40 seconds is crazy
I ran D1 and it kicked my ass, these guys are impressive af. Dat V02 max though, I could never compete
that’s the sad thing, it’s 95% talent! most people cannot improve their untrained times by more than 25% or so
I ran d2 and they run so fast it d1 in doesn’t make sense😂 I’m like do y’all not have classes
Great job NAU
Damn good race
Good job nico young
What a crumby and unprofessional way to handle athletes in distress at the finish. Organizers were totally unprepared for any medical emergency at the finish.
Agreed! Unprepared! Gotta do better for these athletes!!
They did exactly what they do every year. I was actually at the meet and the only thing i was upset with was they dropped him.
good work
Грехем Бланкс- юниор из Гарварда, запомним это имя. Будущий белокожий чемпион мира на 10000 м
I think the two smart guys got together beforehand and developed a strategy that would allow either one to win the race.
GO NICKY SCU BRONCOS 👊🏽❤️
This commentary is wild
NAU is going to come hard next year watch out NCAA
Unpredictable 🎉🎉🎉
Didn't talk about the kid from NM at all, lol
damn bad race for yaseen can't wait for the "you need to fail in order to win" vid on his channel lmao
Real
What place did he get?
ya seen him?
Jeeesz the ending makes me scared to run a 10k😅😅😅😅😢
The inevitable sucking up to how much smarter ivy league or Harvard students are opposed to the rest of the field was painful but apart from that great race and coverage.
yea the announcers are always cringe
hard to be a xc commentator. they dont need to say anything, and yet theyre talking a mile per minute
"AAAND once again Ky Robinson looks like he's jogging"
Race without commentary would be better😊. I have to mute but wish I could hear crowd
Bruh, the spoilers just right there in the description
I can't believe Graham Blanks is only 29 years old
I feel so bad for Nico Young :(
He chose wokeness and homosexual sin over his training and health. I am sad to see it.
@@patg4603I’m sad to see people like you in our society
You can tell the commentary was added after the race.
Go lobos !!!
HAM BLANKS
I love how the announcers did not speak much about Graham Blanks until about 19 Minutes
yeah, they really blanked out.
At the start I thought the announcer said the Taylor swift thing cause the girls teams would be cheering💀
31:25 Runner in blue on the left should have helped his teammate across the line. This is a team sport. A split second decision would have saved dozens of points.
Helped how? And that guy is still upright when passed. How could he know? They were like 10 feet from the finish line, you don't have time to stop and help like that. Besides, he probably knew their next man was just behind, and he was. 31:41 you can see their 5th runner cross the line. The officials were already running out to help.
Actually you cant or it is a DQ
@@donshields2379I didn't know it was a DQ. So, all the times we see athletes help each other across the line they are DQing themselves?
If medical carries you off before the finish, then aren't you DNF?
Put an arm around him. It happened in a triathlon race between brothers.
He also won nuttycomb right?
Yep. He won every single XC race he was in this year.
The did they had to carry across the finish 😂😂😂
don't laugh at another person's misfortune. that could be you one day.
Orange Power
WTG Pokes!!!!
Did they really run a 1:49 first 800??
Did you really just ask that?
They were probably more like 1:51 or so but they were on a crazy downhill
@@jhoncena1111 yeah
Question for anybody who has participated in this race or something similar...are you just in pain the entire time?
The first 100m isn’t so bad 😂
Pretty much
Why do they do it, it's hardly for the enjoyment of it, just curious 🤔
Not the entire time 😂 In between the halfway mark and the 3/4 mark is the worst mentally. This course was really a true cross country course (but American standards), it had hills.
31:34 and onward is a folly of errors for the kid that went down. They damn near dropped him, and then ran into the other guy who was wobbling all over.
they did drop him for the most part. fI was at the meet and chatting with someone about it while I was in line to leave and apparantly they were doing wha they were instructed to do.
NCAA, can you not post the spoiler in the description for the first couple days at least? - would like to know who doesnt win BEFORE I watch the video.
orrrr don’t read it 🤦♂️
You can know who won the race AND still enjoy watching it.
Glad to see an American won. Impressive as it (Oklahoma State) might seem, their team is riddled w/African recruits (their top four runners). Kudos to BYU (third), whose team is composed of Americans...and Texas, whose team also is entirely composed of Americans, with six of them being from Texas high schools...that's impressive! They ought implement a rule...where cross country teams have to match every landed foreign recruit with a local state high school recruit.
It’s not 9000m to go 😂 25:59
Let’s go Pokes!! Proud alumni of the 2023 NCAA Division 1 National Champions! Can’t count the number of times I’ve run the OSU cross country course in Stillwater.
Damn, bro passed out before crossing the line
Commentators need to look up the meaning of 'stud'.
where’s yaseen
125th or something
ya seen him?
No hate on OSU. But there’s no way their top 2 guys are real freshman. They’re both 21 and 22 and have competed in junior world championships. No way that’s fair.
Well they had 6 runners in the top 20 so I don't think it matters either way.
They're still college age, they aren't scored any differently for being freshman, it's totally fair
Georgias QB was 26 when they won the national championship, is their win also invalid in your eyes?
Sounds like hate to me.
I believe Conner Mantz was 24 when he won his last NCAA XC title, so it's nothing that new to have older guys in these things. I agree that 22 is pretty old to be running as a freshman, but there's not actually any rule about age specifically, as I understand it.
GO POKES
Doesn't sit right with me that many of these teams farm all their talent from overseas. OSU's top 5 has 3 runners from Kenya, one from Morocco, and only one runner from the USA. Respect to teams that actually develop local and regional talent.
What’s so bad about overseas talent?
Stay mad and racist my guy, NAU imports so many runners from New Zealand but that's ok cause they're white.
@@RobotKid2000fr this guy doesn't know how many of these guys aren't even American 😂
bro is mad
You are on point, local national talent.
21:01 - INCORRECT!!! Bob Kempainen won the NCAA individual title for Dartmouth in 1990.
No, Jonah Koech of Iowa State won in 1990. You're confusing the NCAA championship with the USA championship.
LOL, Kempainen placed 4th in '86, no titles though.
Yoo
Thanks for posting....only a FOOL would spend $$$$ on these doucheys that charge $$$$
NAU didn't win, amazing day in my books.
perplexing mindset
@@calenduleaecalendulathey win too much, people like underdogs
@@ArithmophobiaOSU was the favorite.
@@ArithmophobiaOSU came in second last year i believe and were the favorites going into this. they aren’t the underdogs. seems like people just don’t want nico to win
28:54 - Again, NOT THE FIRST Ivy League champion - Bob Kempainen in 1990.
Jonah Koech of Iowa State won in 1990. You're confusing the NCAA championship with the USA championship.
@@machineofadream Agreed, that guy is confused, Kempainen of Dartmouth only placed in the top 10 once at NCAAs, 4th in '86.
Great runners, but terrible video coverage for much of the race!
it is the same coverage every year. I thought the drone was footage was great.
Nice easy course. Where's the challenge? Running on a golf course is for wimps.
I opened the video, the commentator mentioned Taylor Swift, I closed the video
See a lot of racist on this chat.
no you don't
All the comments about Africans being unfair, but not a single comment on the white Europeans with English sounding names? @@richardthegingerbo909
Nobody wants to see Taylor. Lol
I refuse to say congratulations to a team that brings in a 22-year-old “freshman” from Kenya. What exactly is the purpose of bringing in professional runners from Kenya for a Sport that generates no revenue? Two Kenyans and a Morrocan as your first three finishers. Congrats 🙄
Many, many teams have been loaded with foreigners for the last 40 years. How do you think Arkansas got all of those titles? Interesting how everyone is pointing out the Africans but nobody is pointing out the white Europoeans with English names....
@@user-et4lg5cf2t Come on man -- don't be so obtuse.
Welcome to the real world. Its competition, get over it.
Where did they find these commentators? Junior high? You know, you know you know. For the love of God.
Another sport no one cares about.
Giants are 5-8 just thought I’d remind you
No one cares about running?
@@clintstapleton2289nice 😂
then why did you click on the video?
Nico young ran like trash, I feel bad for the guy, he did worse than he did last year by a lot
trash? lol ok
Trash is a real exaggeration. I think he’s finished 4, 11, 2, 6 at nationals without looking it up. That’s a pretty good career
By a lot? Different athletes up front this year, different course. I don't see that he did obviously worse. Two of the guys who beat him he didn't race in the NCAA last year: Samuel and Kipngetich. He lost to Bosley, but Bosley is his dude, and he had no reason to surge ahead of Bosley. Ky Robinson is the NCAA champ in the 10k and arguably had a bad race last year. Graham Blanks beat everyone at Nuttycombe and had easily the greatest season of any man in Ivy League history. Nico didn't lose to anyone he shouldn't have lost to. I know we all think he's just going to win because, I dunno, reasons and stuff, but he ran fine.
@@machineofadreamHis achilles heel is he can't shift gears and drop the hammer late in the race. Has no kick at all. Just being real. He's a great runner and super highly conditioned, but in HS he could just run away from the field. He can't do that at the college, national, or international level. So he is reaching his ceiling in racing. Talent these days is just so deep and you have to have every tool in your arsenal to win these races. The no kick thing is a huge liability for Nico.
I'm praying that the 2 (3?) guys that collapsed near the finish didn't die or nearly die from jab induced myocarditis??!!
bruh what the hell are you talking about
Don’t be a douche.
@@garinbaker_ Watch at about 31:35-end... Lots of colleges required the clot shot, and young men suffered myocarditis the most, and physical exertion precipitates the dire cardiac events, so you put 2 and 2 together?
yessir! one guy was holding his chest! a whole bunch of these guys are fully poisoned with foreign ingredients. Only time will tell. In the meantime, they will normalize heart attack among young ones to the max
