ADDED TIP!!! I did forget to mention! I DO GO OVER my pieces with two layers of sealer once they have dried. After the initial application. I wait for everything to completely dry. Usually til the next day, and then I do one layer of sealer (or, mod podge) over top the entire thing! I let that dry an hour or so and add another layer just to feel fuzzy inside that the piece is well protected. Sorry for not mentioning this in the video!! For more Information on decoupage as a whole check out this how to Decoupage video ua-cam.com/video/adQCMVq__NY/v-deo.html
I loved how you showed how to blend the napkin to the wood! I did learn something new and plan on giving this method a try! Thank you so much Brandi for the lesson and can't wait till the next one! ❤😊
Great tutorial. You did an amazing job explaining your steps. Thank you for taking the time to do this tutorial. Using napkins is one of my favorite DIY's.
I do this Once or Twice a month! Depends on what everyone wants! I try to focus these on things my audience is asking for! I know I have a painting tutorial planned for January!!
Completely useful! Two things I have to remember: go slowly and less is more. I loved your tutorial and I want to see more, about anything crafty. Thank you Brandi!
I appreciate the slow video and detail that you put into this project. It’s like being in an art class and learning every second slowly and also learning why it’s done the way that it is. It turned out adorable. Thank you.
I love using napkins for decoupage! That napkin is gorgeous 😍! I use a piece of tape on the back of the napkin to separate the layers. I was amazed at how well it works! I've never thought of using the decoupage though! I'll be hitting up your website and checking it out! TY for taking the time to teach us!! 😍
I love the careful little installments as you go. Very easy to follow as it is my first introduction to decoupage! Like to do some Fall napkin ideas. THANK YOU!
THANK YOU so much! This is the absolute best decoupage tute I’ve ever watched, we’re talking 2 years!!!! It’s usually, from others, just a wham bam. And, it turned out great!!! Btw, luv ur nails!
Thank you, I really wanted these to be indepth and more of a FULL BEHIND THE SCENE, here is everything with as little speed up as possible. And, thanks about the nails too, they are dollar tree transfers!
Great tips I learned even more and discovered why I've how to overcome some of the issues I've had in the past. I've got to go get those napkins that's absolutely beautiful. Thanks so much Brandi.
I love this technique. I often decoupage on raw wood and the finished look is amazing. I have a couple of similar napkins and am going to try this today. Thanks for sharing this. I really appreciate this type of tutorial because you are focusing on one project and giving lots of information as you go.
Thanks for doing this video, I have a drawer full of napkins and so far I’ve only put some on candles using my heat gun. I’ll take all the tutorials I can on decoupaging napkins onto different things and I always like the way you explain what you’re doing. This video is awesome for me so I’m looking forward to your next tutorial.
That makes me so happy to hear Pamela. I will be doing many many more! I am not sure that I am going to do them every Tuesday but whenver I have time we will have them for sure, so atleast a few times a month!!!
You created this tutorial just for me, didn't you Brandi? 😉 This was so helpful to me. Thanks for taking the time to show and explain it all! I look forward to more tutorials in the future! ♥
Hi Brandy!!😊 love this video!! Thank you for taking the time to slow it down a bit 😁 when you are completely finished, do you seal the piece? Have a wonderful week and weekend😉
Loving your tutorial Tuesday. Thanks for the decoupage method tips. I love this piece. It's beautiful !! I have some wood pieces that I want to update. May use napkins or rice paper on them. Did I see you wad up the whole rest of the napkin ? I would have saved the other print to use in a different project.
When your sponge gets full of Mod Podge, can you wash it out, dry it, and reuse it, or do you have to use a new sponge? I love learning from you. Thank you for doing these tutorials.
When I have a sponge that gets to tough I worry it might rip my napkin, I reuse it buy cutting it up for paint. Like its hard but still a tiny bit spongy. In any of my recent videos you see me cutting a yellow sponge in small pieces and using them for paint or stain. That is an old mod podge sponge I was using for decoupage. I hope that helps! really good question. I should deff bring this up in a video!
Fairly new to your channel but so far loving it! One question that I have since you didn’t mention at the end is do you seal the piece with anything once completed or just leave it as is? Thank you! I look forward to seeing more!
@The DIY Struggle That as fast. Thank you. Yes, I love it. ❤️ I'm going to try soon. Keep posting. One more thing, thank you for saying that you're not a professional because I beat myself up all the time trying to be one. I have to learn to let go of my imperfections. I did a decoupage today, and I liked it, although it had some wrinkles. I happened to like the wrinkles.
LOL. I made a decoupage video for friday.. it is already done..haha... but next month I will do a decoupage glass video and slow it down, The glass in this video is not a step by step like this.. I scheduled it already on the calendar! Thank you for the suggestion! That is really how I do these tutorials, People ask to see me do things and I make it happen! If you think about it, before there were ever colleges, and things in the world to BECOME PROFESSIONAL, we learned through trades, and watching others do things we were interested in. Never worry about being a professional if its something you love. Keep the joy in it and just do it! I literally get on here, and just do things to share. Wrinkles can be really good on some projects. I love the glass vase I did in this video and you will see a minimal amount!
So glad! I think I will have these a few times a month sparatically on Tuesdays!! I have a ton of thinks to do like this! Thank you so much for stopping by Debra!

I posted on your other message.
BUT, I will add I like poly for furniture over a decoupage, but mod podge for anything else craft wise
