Great video. I love two square feet wide plants with about three to four feet in height above the soil, in a dual layer scrog, pulling 200-250 dry weight per plant. But two months of veg and training. Doing larger tents is not easy for lolipopping because of a wheelchair situation and I tend scrog early so no taking it out by the time I’m cleaning things up. It is a crapshow with the nylon elastic trellis, so I use the twine trellis at about three and a half inch squares and cut when finished(🇨🇦).
@ PotbellyFarms get his mushroom microbe tea comes with everything you need including the bag and you brew it for 3 to 5 days it is some of the best Brew I have ever put in my plants
Glad to see more videos coming from Garden Talk again! I guess I took for granted that I have a utility sink in my basement that I previously installed for my fishkeeping hobby.
I know all about drug addiction. Heroin to be exact. I got clean, had my first born son, and focused on growing plants as my outlet to stay sober. I now working in the industry and have an amazing life.
There's one thing that everybody should do when in veging before flowering is to take wooden clothes drying pins clipping to the end of your branches and this will strengthen them and spread them out at the same time and helps out in the super cropping 😊 it will work 😊
going to try to use beef liver emaltions and use live beete juice ! I'm hoping the liver will give me micro-nutrients and the beet juice to give me the sugar with micro nutrition 🙏
I’m glad I’m not the only one that doesn’t do all that extra I keep it real simple. But I probably can do it that way bc I helped my grandma grow regular plants since 5 yrs old
Excellent conversation... Loved what Sly said... Do what you want with your plants, you have control and find what works for you, everyone does different things, there is really no wrong way as you become a gardener. fabric pots are LIFE, in my opinion! Veg is really what I've seen that increases the size, the longer you keep it in veg 5-7 weeks, then flip to flower.
Awesome video! I'm also 5 yrs clean from everything except that one plant that makes me happy every day! I have learned so much thank you for these videos! So glad your doing them it's something I look forward to. Happy growing
Good on you loco man i know whete youe coming from i had a very similar experience every word youve just introduced yourself with really fits me also. Supporting you with best wishes all the way man. I live on the Western side of Washington and totally agree with his characterization of the weather. The state is split (almost) in half by mountains and the West side is considerably wetter and cooler than the East side. The West has a literal rainforest, and the East is almost literally a desert.
Excellent info! Appreciate the simplistic approach I go simple as well and I am now experimenting with vegging a plant for 4 months before flipping it I got another 3 weeks left until flip! Gonna be a bush!
I have 3 tents 2-2x4s 1 for veg and 1 for seedlins. And 1-4x4 for flower. I have 1 flowering in that. Two in veg tent. Waiting on some of candy from a couple friends OG
Thank you so much for your content. You have helped me with so many subjects and are a huge reason my plants have thrived. Your content has so much good information, especially the one with Dr. Bruce Bugbee 🤙
Exhaust your heat and humidity into an exterior vent with a louver so air only goes one way. Venting warm, humid air into the soffit on the exterior of the home is ideal. A solar powered vent fan with louvers is around $100. It can be set up with a humidistat to come on within parameters giving yourself some peace of mind about humidity in the attic again. I use Govee Home wireless hydrometers data logging to my phone.
I work in the Colorado cannabis industry. We force feed the plants all the nutrients, light and carbon dioxide they can handle and grow HUGE plants. I have worked with plants that seem to yell "Feed me Seymour!" 😆 I know what he's talking about
Just tying the branches down a little to create spread instead of LST then toping might give you better results??? As it's going into flower if you 'de foliate slowly as you go through flowering that will create more room and you will be surprised how much room is left after doing that.
I've went 4 days before when brewing a compost tea I just added sugar everyday after the 2nd day. I use 1/3 cup molasses for a 5 gallon bucket of water then after 2 days I'll add 1 teaspoon of horticultural coconut sugar from buildasoil.
One Tablespoon of any dish washing liquid in one gallon of water in any spray bottle , spray top and bottom of leafs , Let dry and then spray just water to rinse , do this until the mites are gone .
❤ I went from 5 gal to 7 gal AC fabrics but wow the growth was amazing I then over vegged them lol Newbie mistake but I just started 2x4 living beds Jan 1st and have jelly donut & blueberry cup c as kes coming up with a couple mixed nutz from Humbolt as well so now that I've got a few got a few grows down I'm really excited to see what co mmb es out of this craft blend & ya wey etc etc etc 🎉
To get in on the pot discussion I really like getting the largest I can. I got some large 40 gal tubs that I grow multiple plants per grow in. I tend to go organic with living soil and a lot of companion plants.
@smilenowcrylater1300 have you done both side by side? I kinda doubt it, I know dwc grows big plants because of root mass. But, you think you're getting more root mass then what a 4x4 bed offers?
This is just me when it comes to pots I love growing and fabric for the most part I don't have to transplant I do 1 gallon then three but I stopped using fabric because of the humidity a lot of humidity goes into the tent so I went back to plastic I noticed a helped out a lot different
I'm growing two watermelons autos that have just started to flower, but I've got a titan f1 that's just a couple of weeks, just a baby, but I'm going to give it the whole tent once the watermelons are out and let it grow big. So by the time the watermelons are ready to chop the titan should be roughly ready to flip. That's the plan anyway, what could go wrong lol
I just bought things not knowing what to buy . I only had room a 2×4 vivosun 4in . 3lights , vivosun 1000 . . I had 2 plants growing now 22 days they look weak 3 set leaves about 4in tiny big leaf . Well, I'm lost, really. I just need to start growing my own. I'm retired all kinds of rime . Money well, not the best, but ok . I'm just praying I do ok. I was going to use a 7 gallon . This episode is good I will watch again . I do need all the help I can get 😢 thanks for this video
I have a completely untamed strawberry runts Mom in my veg tent that is firing off three finger and single finger leaves, and a 3 gallon fabric pot. She is pissed off, but she’s healthy. The branches are as long as my arm. I’m about to cut clones. I have nothing to protect the open cuts except for water or petroleum jelly. No I don’t have aloe and I’m not spending money on Clone X. How many clones can I get from a branch that is 3 feet long? I need to cut six clones ASAP.
Once i got a co2 tank i will neber look back.. co2 bags helps alil but 600 in veg 1200ppm in flower and I promise u will see the dif in yield+ they pray so hard
Im growing some autos in 7 gal pots. Super tiny for me!! Ill never do that again!! I prefer my 4x4 bed and my small no-till bags are 20 gal. Its rad seeing how differently we all grow from one another!! #loyaltothesoil
Best home for autos is 3 gal fabric, high porosity medium that is watered daily. Anything bigger is a waste, I've done them in 5 and 7's with no yield increase. Some growers go even smaller 1 gal.
@stangcobra592 autos aren't little tiny plants like they were before. Plus I'm a no-till living soil kinda guy. I dont feed water soluble hyped nutrients named after greek gods or some nonsense. The only 3 gal you'll see me use is to keep mother plants small in.
Back seat growers! LMFAO. The mushroom community is full of them too. Just like Sly said, they get angry and take it personally if you don't do what they tell you.
As far as the mold goes behind walls of your grow room, what % humidity are we talking?.... like this won't happen with like 65% humidity right? I have a grow tent but I assume the room still gets affected
what do u mean by prune when it hits the light..... like lST it ?????? if it hits the light I noticed that it shrinks the top cola. and will it kill it the entire plant ??? or just that part
I'm gonna be using 4x8x12'11" any advice on lighting in such tall tent. I was considering 2 ks5000's. My biggest concern is lighting reaching plant when it gets above 5'. Total grow hieht should be @9'11" give or take 1'. Is light gonna be issue at these heights.
Wow , swine flu coma is a new way to get thru withdrawal and lose weight! Never know what’s going to be considered good or bad luck until you have some time to reflect. Are there techniques to grow dense but SMALL buds instead of colas for the purpose of mold resistance? I’m thinking about trying to achieve this.
John Kohler does an episode of "growing your greens" with a lady that does beautifulFuLking trees bro, outdoors/indoor( greenhouse) And she does the sh right,, let me tell you.😊(if You look up;" GYG with John Kohler, outdoor organic cannabis, She's the young lady with dark hair. Expand on this please? I've heard of pinching apical meristem at transition to flower but never heard of this method.
^same can you explain further
Sly is a great guy as well been through a lot and the plant really saved him!!! Love his story
Perfect timing! a few hours ago I just decided to transfer my ladies to bigger pots so they can grow some more before they go to flower.
The mold control thing is something that is super important. You absolutely don't want to ruin your dwelling.
Facts!
Great episode! Once i started running 7g plastic pots with organic soil, that was it for me best results with little to no problems throughout flower
I’m glad I’m not the only one that doesn’t do all that extra I keep it real simple. But I probably can do it that way bc I helped my grandma grow regular plants since 5 yrs old

I go simple as well
and I am now experimenting with vegging a plant for 4 months before flipping it
I got another 3 weeks left until flip!
Gonna be a bush!
You can line your plastic pots with cardboard from cereal boxes put a seam or two in the cardboard aswel the roots seem to love that layer .
Love this guest, he’s just vibin and it’s the best.
I have 3 tents 2-2x4s 1 for veg and 1 for seedlins. And 1-4x4 for flower. I have 1 flowering in that. Two in veg tent. Waiting on some of candy from a couple friends OG
big beds = big roots = big fruits ...eazy
Thanks boys!!!! just what i needed to hear😊
Thank you, guys. I appreciate you💯💚🙏. Let me know if you have more questions. Awesome show 🔥💯
You can add a light mix of white vinegar and water into your humidifier it should control the mold pretty good
Thank you so much for your content. You have helped me with so many subjects and are a huge reason my plants have thrived. Your content has so much good information, especially the one with Dr. Bruce Bugbee 🤙

Nice..Ihave this exact problem, I'm in the deep south and my exhaust ducting goes up the ceiling out the ridge vent in the attic.
👏👏👏👏
18:46 😅 Exactly the same problems I have. You dial in one value then the next value runs away. Heat, cold, humidity, dryness 😂
Need an ACI Terraform 7

The old school way was one plant per 1000w MH light, veg for 14-16 weeks, then flower in 15 gallon containers. But this was many years ago.
1000w 15 gallon 4 month veg?
It would have been massive.
The good ol days lol
👏👏👏

Thanks for another great video, and happy growing gromies 💚!
Right on. If you watch this and dont hit the like button, you will get spider mites. 😁✌️💚
Lol. Don't wish that upon anyone because you will jinx yourself lol
One Tablespoon of any dish washing liquid in one gallon of water in any spray bottle , spray top and bottom of leafs ,

Good one
I bet you hit it.. lol

Yoooo anytime doggie!!
Such a great podcast!!!
To get in on the pot discussion I really like getting the largest I can. I got some large 40 gal tubs that I grow multiple plants per grow in. I tend to go organic with living soil and a lot of companion plants.
I'm also usuin Gaia Green for my first run ever. week away from harvest and I got some nice dense buds goin on my headband
I agree long veg with heavy LST training makes a bushy tree for sure!!!! One plant to a 4×4 .
Hell yeah makes a huge ass plant 💯💯
thanks chris
I have some pics id love share with this gentleman. I believe big plants are more hardy easier to care for, and more resistant to disease and pests
If a grower since 1989 wanted to talk to you about a guest spot how would they contact you? You do great work
For me on tea when it gets foamy I water then no more then 2 days on brew
Yeah I did it again for 3 days cause I forgot about it in there lol smh
Wanna grow bigger indoor plants? Get into DWC, nuff said
Or a 4x4 irrigated bed of no-till 😎
Oh yeah they get even bigger in dwc
@smilenowcrylater1300 have you done both side by side? I kinda doubt it, I know dwc grows big plants because of root mass. But, you think you're getting more root mass then what a 4x4 bed offers?

Glad he emphasized having a relatively dry ball when transporting. I believe that's why I do not have " shock". Peace
Were I can see his grows here on you tube

One clone is best the end 6to 8 inches I find is best for me
You can also use the regular cheap powder growth hormones it all works the same. If it's on branch I'd say that's 1 clone 😎💯
Thanks for your videos

Chris, would love to reuse my soil. Will the blend word l😮ke recharge?
Sinks are the shiiiiiit! I have a sink as well and yah sinks are great.

Yo, Loco!🤘🏻💚
Brother!!!
Allready got em webbing up 😭
I’ve not watched it yet but would much rather grow more smaller plants. Better for light distribution than large plants.
i have gaia green soil ive used before, any recommendations for re amending
I'd throw some all purpose 444 and some flower and some worm casting. Also some mycroryza
@smilenowcrylater1300 sweet ok! i have everything needed. i might toss somthing for aeration in too. thanks
As far as the mold goes behind walls of your grow room, what % humidity are we talking?.... like this won't happen with like 65% humidity right? I have a grow tent but I assume the room still gets affected

We all grow different ways i have my style which works for me but its not for everyone
🔥🔥🔥
What is this umbrella trellis? Ive been searching and cant find what it is or where to find it.

Yeah the coma just helped me get over drugs. After I stopped drinking is when I lost all the weight. But yeah crazy ass ride lol for sure 😎
Great video, he reminds me of a cousin or uncle 😂😂😂
So basically he just veges his plants longer.
36 hour compost brew is the best

I use my used soil in my outdoor vegetable garden . Its so full of roots its crap to reuse
I filled a 3x3 scrog in 60 days veg with Bruce Banner2. Ended up with 17 ounces of flower.
Good lord congrats on that one 🙌
I hate vegging so I veg 4 wks and flip.
💯
small rooms are way harder to control I have a 2x3 closet grow room
Facts!
24 hour brew for the w
