I’m just about to attempt my first install next week - still in training but sitting my ACS in a few weeks. This video has helped me massively. I appreciate your honesty in talking about small mistakes and how you rectify. Great video bro 👏
Great video as always. I think your videos stand out from other gas engineer videos because you film every step and show the full procedure and explain what you are doing which is brilliant. Thanks for sharing and look forward to many more videos in 2023 :)
Beautiful work sir. It's nice to see someone take pride in their work. Thank you.
Thanks!
Good to see other people with a good standard of work and fair play recording everything 👊🏻👍🏻
Can’t thank you enough for this video bro , extremely helpful for someone new to the trade
That’s what my channel is all about 💪
An absolutely brilliant job, well done sir
You take a pride in your work very pleasing to the eye. Very professional.
Lol I keep watching this guy for boilers I'm addicted
Absolutely great work
Thank you!
Beautiful job, great explanation as usual
Thanks Sherief 💪
normally I don't bother with comments, but this was one of the top videos I found on boiler install.
Really good content, i agree press fits are great. Thanks for the great video.
Haha, yeah press is game changing
really good content so informative and so relaxed keep up the great content 👌👊
You make look so simple … well done
Another great informative video thank you 🙏🏻
Some good one handed work there bro. Keep up the good work.
💪💪
Good video pal. Well impressed.
Thanks!
Im doing my gas at the moment , so the wiring video will help me out good video.
It’ll be posted on Tuesday evening at 6.30👍
Nice video dude 👍 looking forward to the wiring part 😉👍
Keep an eye out for Tuesday eve💪
@@advancedboilertraining definitely dude 👍 enjoying your videos they helping me a lot 😉
@@Stu_Gilbert love to hear that!
Wiring videos would be massive for me tbh! Great video
Tuesday 6.30pm I’ll be posting it 👍
Yeah I was thinking the same
Nice job.
Great video thanks
Thanks so much for these videos, very appreciated
💪
Have just passed my ACS so this is incredibly useful!
Great job
Thanks!!
Great video, very well explained.
😊
Viessmann do not require the flue to be made good. Makes working on the boiler so much easier.
Liked your video good explanation. Most youtubers are just showsoff don't give much detail on how to do it info more about themselves moaning or complaining about other engineers.
Cool as a cucumber, I like your style. You Sir, are awesome 👏 Good content, methodical and informative. Thank you.
love condense trick
💪💪
Perfect 👍
Great vid mate . Start my gas course in May looking forward to getting in to it
Ah nice! Good luck with it mate 👍
Ah nice! Good luck with it mate 👍
@@advancedboilertraining hi mate how does it work after/if your successful in the ACS . So do you then become an improver for a period of time ? And how long . I’ve been told conflicting stuff
@@charliefox6987how you getting on mate
Very smooth explanation discharge You should use 90 and ( 45 spigots ) fitting facing the wall
Great Install Bro, Can you do a Unvented Installation?? I like your study it’s very educational. Keep Up the Good Work . Your very informative and smart minded person.
Thanks for the kind words!! I don’t do many unvented but the next time I do, I’ll record it and upload it for you 👍
What boiler is that ?
I just had the same Boiler fitted (sept 2023) and I can say for a fact his soldering skills were crap, didan't wipe off excess flux so solder running down pipes looks a mess.
Well done to you, great job.
Excellent video s glass
thank u❤❤❤
0:01 nice, tidy back garden
I usually get the valves on the 2000 boiler before I hang it. Found it hard to get my spanner in to tighten them up when I had hung the boiler before fitting the valves. They’re too close together on this boiler
Wicked video very nice job how much are them press fit tools 🔧
Mate fair play did most of that one handed😂 great video. Do you ever fit the valves before tou hang the boiler on the wall? Can sit it flat on its back and connect them then hang it on the bracket
Hi have you fitted bosch Greenstar 2000 with a wireless easy control which comes with a wall mount and a table mount the table mount is pre wired with a plug to be plug into a 13amp socket and the wall plate as a plug with 2 wires that screw in the wall plate I have been told that the wall mount has to be wired to the boiler if that is the case how dose the desk mount work .what I would like to know is which way is the proper way many thanks hope you have a great new year 🎉
How did you get around the Flue clearances?
Instructions say:
[10] Above, below and either side of an opening door, air vent or
opening window.
Using a Plume Management kit the air intake measurement can be
reduced to 150mm providing the flue exhaust outlet has a
300mm clearance.
the advanced assasins creed walking had me
Can you fit the wirelessWorcester Bosch easy control to it and do you have to wire it to the boiler or is it just plug in the socket
Nice vid bro and would’ve done the same for the flue
Just a quick one what press gun do you recommend ?
That was an very good video, considering you used one hand all the way.
You can actually bend the condensate pipe with the pipe bender
I had a Greenstar 2000 boiler with a Comfort 2 rf thermostat fitted two years ago.
Thermostat told me boiler didn’t have adequate water in system so I filled it up and the heating and hot water worked fine.
An hour later i turned down the heating on the thermostat but an hour later I noticed the radiators were still hot.
I done a boiler reset and checked the batteries in the thermostat and the rf pairing seems ok.
The thermostat says the heating is OFF but it isn’t .
The only way I can put the heating on and off is at the main switch.
Does anybody know what the problem could be ?
Any help much appreciated 👍
Maybe showing the parts and why you never used the orignal filling loop. How to wire the boiler too.
Hi, great video. Do you have any installer advance settings for the pump on these? I'm trying to get the pump to run on its maximum possible setting to allow a possible pressure Head Loss issue I've come across when installing new rads on a loft extension
Should be a parameter in the hidden menu, you usually find that in the technical documentation of the boiler.
Do you not use boos white on the compression fittings?
How often do press fit go wrong?
I would like to ask what is the tape for what you used it around the flue , I don't do installation just i do repair .
Thank you
It’s tape that Worcester give you for the flue. Because the flue is telescopic, you choose the length, put a screw in it and then put the tape around the screw
Awesome vid 👏, only thing I might have done differently is ignore the push fit coupler Worcester gave and gone for a compression straight instead.
Yeah the push fit is quite bulky 🤧
Can you show us how to open the boiler cover
How long does it took you to install the whole thing?
Thanks, most appreciated. How long did the whole install take you?
Thanks for the comment! Took about a day to do
youve done a better job then british gas :)
Haha! That’s good to hear 💪
You gonna do anymore instal walkthrough bro?
is it standard to use tissue or cardboard around the flue to fill the gap. seem like a combustible material to use
You seal the flue to prevent the fumes from entering the property. Fumes are not flamable.
Brilliant video and very nice install. Only thing that has me wondering is the way the Hive Mini is wired in as far as I remember doesn't actually count as part p + compliant. You really have to be careful which controls you're fitting now because of it - such a pain in the arse.
At 3:15 if you couldn't loosen the nut what would you do .... Hacksaw it off ?
So it depends, if it’s a boiler repair and I need to loosen a nut and it was really stuck then the first thing I would do is use some penetrant WD40, and let it sit for a minute or two. Then try again with a longer spanner.
If it’s the same situation as this video where I’m removing a boiler then I would just cut the copper pipe
Yer putting loads of screws in may seem a great idea…. Don’t forget that’s possibly 1 brick your drilling all them holes in…. Drill too many holes in a brick and it will fall to bits
Yeah that’s also a possibility 😅
How long did that take you to fit the boiler
Nice install. Do you need to flush the system when you fit a new boiler, or is it not always needed?
Yeah so at the end I do a hot flush and then put some inhibitor in. If people want to pay for a full thorough flush then I will do but these people just wanted a basic flush
@@advancedboilertraining Whats the difference between a full flush and, hot flush sorry?
@@urzyt7520with a hot flush you put chemical into the system, turn on the heating and let the chemical circulate through the system. Do each rad separately then drain it out. With a power flush you connect a big machine with magnets to catch all the sludge in the system as it circulates
Power flush is the better option but not every customer wants to pay for it
Just use your pipe bender on the plastic for that bend, will be fine no need to heat
Hi mate, what is the cement that you use for inside to seal the flue? Never used it looks the business 👍🏻
If you go on Google and type in “cement in a tube” it will come up. I use the soudal one
@@advancedboilertraining cheers mate
Cleaning system? Check water quality with sample . Add inhibitor ?
Yep all done. I do my flushing at the end whilst tidying/explaining everything to the customer and commissioning. Then leave inhibitor in the system
How do you do your flushing? Varies so much from one installer to another.
i have had a 4000 installed system boiler, looks similar, the filter is above the top right of the boiler, and i can hear water running through the filer when boiler is on , they came back out and bled the system but its doing it again shortly afterwards , any ideas ? Thanks !
Sometimes it can take a few times of bleeding to get rid of all the air in the system
If you can hear it coming through the magnetic filter I'd be checking depending on brand if it's piped the correct way/the internal Filter (Adey brand especially) is actually switched to the right direction. Otherwise it sounds like a little fan going around.
The other thing that can do it is a pump speed being set too high causing cavitation if the flow around the system is restricted due to pipe work size.
@@effervescence5664 it's a Worcester mini filter , is changing the pump speed something I could do as it's I side the boiler , thanks
@@advancedboilertraining thanks ,it's been bled a few times
Doesn’t this boiler come with wall hanging plate and jig ?
Na not this model
How crappie is the prv pipe located. Comes with a push fit aswell lol
Well it is a Worcester 🤷♂️😂
@@advancedboilertraining yeah they've gone backwards
id be more concerned about the diverter valve its right at the back behind the pump, on these budget Worcester 2000 every thing about them is cheap and nasty compared to the 4000
M8 can't take sticker off the front lololol my mum used to wrap TV remote in tesco bag #Asian life
The Hive can’t modulate any modulating boiler but can only switch it on and off. Seems like a lost opportunity to save the customer some money in the boilers gas consumption.
Tell that to BG
I don’t believe that you done all this by yourself ! How did you dismount the old boiler and put up the new one all by yourself?
Strength 😉
@@advancedboilertraining dude, come on , show us a video on that then .
Most domestic boilers are of a weight to be classed as a 1 person lift. apx 30 /35kg
I have nothing but issues with this Greenstar 2000. Need to get a decent boiler as this seems sh...t
23:36 whats that ?
It was the tee for the filling loop
@@advancedboilertraining that black thing looking like cup
@@DerekHundik ohhh my bad😂 that’s the magnetic filter. It catches the gunk in the system before it goes back into the boiler
Why no small scaffolding?
Mate, just get a headset camera. Doing things with one hand makes me nervous!
🤣 I have one, but the battery on it literally lasts 30 mins. Might have to buy a better one
Enjoyed the video..
But the number of ads ffs 🙄
I haven’t used press fitting yet still old school 😂😂 but I would still clean the paint off the pipes because it will be an uneven surface especially on the gas pipe👍👍
Yeah when I first transitioned from soldering to press I would clean the pipes every time but then over time I’ve fell into bad habits 😩😂 never had an issue pressing on to non-prepped pipes though 🤞
Did you do a gas test before instal …also putting tissue in and around flue is not good idea.. also if the flue was 300 from the window you could just of cemented the air brick if it’s not required ..the condense doesn’t look good bent. I’ve seen some of these 2000 condense leak already.
No offence but how are plumbers an engineer? Something I have always wondered about 👍
I don’t do much plumbing (working with just water). I try to work more on the gas side. So gas repairs and working on gas appliances
@@advancedboilertraining what areas do you cover?
