    Is the Worcester Greenstar the same as the one in your video. My plumber said there is an entry level boiler and not as good quality. Is this true. Or is he just trying to get me to go with the Ideal Maxi

    Thanks for the reviews. I'm considering the 1000 30kw, what are the pros and cons over the 28cdi you think? Ta

      Hey appearance most likely going to be main decider on this one alongside the error code display. If your boiler is on display as opposed to being hidden away in a cupboard , the 1000 is most likely going to be your favourite due to its modern look and feel. Also when it comes to error codes, diagnosing the cdi's blue flashing lights is a nightmare over the 1000 displaying the error code nice and easy. If you bought from iHeat directly I wouldn't worry about error codes so either or would be fine. Finally cost, I imagine there isn't much difference but the 1000 at 30kw is probably the same as a 28 cdi if not cheaper? What are you thinking

    Hello, doing a top floor 2 bed rebuild, 1 kitchen and bathroom on a 4th level town house. i am putting in a 200ltr power tank for good water flow. be fitting about 6 rads. i am looking for a combi that will give me good strong flow / pressure of hot water to the shower. it hard to find spc's on the hot water flow/pressure. what combi would work best for me? Thanks Gavin

      Hey how come you are going for a combi if you're installing a tank? I'd go for a system/ regular boiler if getting a tank or just stick to mains pressure for a combi. Anyways, the Worcester Bosch 8000 has 18l per minute flow rate at 35 degrees above which is more than enough for a good shower in a 2 bed.

      @@iheat If someone is using the shower and toilet at the same time I get very little water pressure
      I will need the water tank to boost my water pressure. I have a retail shop on the ground floor with toilet and kitchen, 1st floor big kitchen, 2nd floor 5 bed big bathroom, with 2 toilets, 3rd floor rebuild.
      At the moment the 3rd floor was running on a header tank with bad water flow and old hot water tank.
      I want to fit a new combi on the 3rd floor so the hot water will not need to travel from the 1st floor.
      Was looking at the 4000 greenstar 30kw, any good? Would you know the flow rate of the hot water?
      Looking at fitting Aquamaxx 450 Litre Cold Water Tank, Single Pump Booster set

    Looking for a new boiler and already got nest thermostat... Do these do opentherm?

    • @iheat
      @iheat  9 місяців тому

      Sadly Worcesters don't have opentherm. The nest is still a great option for the Worcester boiler range, the geolocation, timers, holiday modes are all great features which work with the worcester range. However for more "opentherm" like features I'd go for a Worcester Easy Control thermostat

    I am needing a new boiler, plumber recommending Ideal Mxi I would like and prefer the Worcester Is the 1000 the same as the Worcester Greenstar ? is there such a thing as an entry level boiler with the Worcester.

    • @iheat
      @iheat  5 місяців тому +1

      The Worcester 1000 is a more entry version for the Worcester Range, it mixes the appearance positives of the 2000/4000 with the power and capabilities of the CDI compact. I would say the 1000 or 2000 are entry level boilers but price wise 2000 would be best value for money. The Worcester Greenstar refers to the entire range and not a particular model. Does your plumber work for ideal ? haha. Again all comes down to preference on appearance etc, when you do a quote on our site what boilers does it suggest

    Hi there, just purchased a 8000 combi, so there are 3 filling links, one with the key, keyless link and the intelligent system… which one to go for?

    • @iheat
      @iheat  5 місяців тому

      Where is your boiler going to be located? If its in a tricky spot I'd go for intelligent (like an attic, under the stairs or if you are boxing it all in). Key is a pain if you lose it haha, so id probably go for the keyless as the middle ground and most likely the middle price bracket

      @@SS-78- Exactly my experience. British Gas automatically, without discussion with me, invoiced me for the intelligent filler but I declined after reading all the problems. The manual filler is very easy to use in my kitchen.

    Why did you not include the Compact or the 4000 model?

    • @iheat
      @iheat  7 місяців тому

      Haha, mostly due to space on the table / wall. Both great boilers, CDI is a beast where appearance doesn't bother customer (in a cupboard for example) and the 4000 is our most popular Worcester so was nice to shine some light on the 2000 model which isn't much different from the 4000

    Is there any advantage buying the 8000 30kw compared to the 4000 30Kw?

    • @iheat
      @iheat  2 місяці тому

      I would narrow it down to appearance, where is your boiler going? Do you care what it looks like or the colours etc. And price? Is there that much difference? And warranty - if warranties are the same and the 4000 is considerably cheaper I would always take the cheaper option and treat yourself to a fancy thermostat or put it towards your bills

    Wooster should update the 8000, first request like valiant add a storage combi request 2 use far less gas, if valiant can out perform at just 43kwh the 52kwh from the 8000 whilst still excellent output should be outputting this at 40kwh final request fix that dang diverter valve and fan build quality isn’t great testing needs to be improved in factory before shipping than at the customers property during install

      The 8000 has been out a long while now, with them being ahead of the game with the 1000 I wonder if they will make a new version in the future, ideally with the features you've mentioned above

    I am considering replacing a 30+ year old Potterton Kingfisher RS 50 CAT 1N boiler.
    The hot water tank iis gravity fed with an overhead tank.
    Thermostatically controlled power shower require such a tank.
    OJ Gas & Heating (a WB Accredited installer!) said that he will fit a combi, remove the hot water tank and replace the shower with another type.
    After watching videos and reading the forums, I am planning to fit a Greenstar 12/15Ri boiler.
    I can not fathom why a WB Accredited installer recommended fitting
