As an artist seeing someone melting foam without any safety equipment scares me but as someone who is wanting to switch their Rainbow boa to a bioactive enclosure seeing this series of you making an absolute mansion for your girl is awe inspiring
@JustTravis_trj well, I became a corn snake dad this week, and I'm obsessed. This is how I came by your channel. You have one more subscriber, hope to see many more builds, incredible editing.
I've made a few hides where I didn't use a plastic hide to begin with. I wish I had. My Ball Python only seems to poop inside one of them, and it is hard to clean. She's grown a lot and needs a new hide. The interior has to be so easy to clean vs. one with texture. (Like mine). I am interested in possibly using a Neater Pet tall 1.25 gal water bowl and using it as a hide and soaking bowl. So maybe this method with that water bowl? I'll have to fill in the 3 sides with foam instead of the top. It would save so much space. She's always trying to soak in a tiny water bowl. Idk. Thank u for your video
cool build. not how i do it though but people have preferences. i just use expanding spray foam and silicone. i silicone substrate and small rocks to the hide.
Do you think great stuff cracks and gaps is okay to use? Other items on my shopping list are Polyblend Plus Sanded Grout, Minwax Polycrylic Clear Matte Water-Based Polyurethane, do you think those are all okay materials to use??
The Great Stuff foam is a great option, grout is often used as well, but I don’t have personal experience (yet) with the other two. I would just check for any kind of toxins or additives. I’d also check melting temps if near or under a heat lamp
I’ve had a video shot and an edit halfway done for like 6 months now 😭 I def want to get it out! Life’s had its speed bumps but I really want to keep posting
Cool build but why use the plastic underneath? Wouldn't it be easier if you just Used the foam? That would also allow you to make it a different more rock-like shape.
You’re not getting enough attention. Editing is amazing and very enjoyable!! 😄😄 don’t quit🙏🏼
I appreciate it!
I really enjoy having this as an outlet, I just need to find more time to make more vids

I did the spray foam method on a smaller hide (than the one in this video) and it worked well too!
Hey man awesome video! I was wondering where did you buy that matte black vinyl that's outside of the glass?
It’s actually acrylic paint! Super easy to peel off if I ever change the tank.
@Just Travis oh wow awesome! Thank you!

Not a bad idea
I mainly used it for a bit of structure
@@JustTravis_trj that makes sense
What happened to the enclosure build video? I was hoping to see how you did it before doing my own😢
Can any type of styrofoam be used?
when's the next video?
You were in San Diego yesterday?
@@clueras I wasn’t, but I’d love to visit
Great video. Thank you! I just sub'd :-)
What kind of foam sheets do you use.

Liked and subbed.

This was amazing! But watching you take that wirebrush to the foam without wearing a respirator gave me anxiety. Please protect your lungs!
