I sure hope I don't have to do that job anytime soon. I'm pretty sure that's another '83 Miser. I own an '83 318 Miser now and had another one just like it a few years ago that was a Slant Six. They all have that 833OD trans with that terrible 2.94 rear. They are tough to get moving sometimes. I can't believe the clutch is still in mine. The hook with those was the customer could buy a full-size truck that got the same mileage as a mid-size or smaller truck from the competition. Yeah, when the thing only turns 1600 rpm in 4th at 70mph! Mine still has the original engine in it with probably 300K on it.They all have the small outside mirrors, no outside trim, no headliner and the pinstripe. Great trucks though, enjoy yours!
Mine actually has 3. something gears, weirdly enough! I forget the exact number, I think it's 3.23? I think this one is a Miser but I don't know for sure, it was sold by the original owner, then sat forgotten for a long time before I got it. I resurrected the Slant 6 for a while but that engine had about 380k miles, some of which were done with a camper in the bed! I'll do another video soon talking about the little bit of weird history I know about with this truck. I'm fighting a pulley situation since I couldn't use the pulleys original to the engine, as I didn't want a heavy duty alternator. Got an AC crank pulley somehow and nothing lines up, fetched some new to me used pulleys off a non AC truck that should fix the situation tomorrow.
It's a Cherry Bomb Glasspack muffler, part number 87521CB. I'm using a stock replacement Y pipe with stock manifolds, a cheap 2.5" high flow cat, dumps just in front of the rear passengers side wheel.

Your car sounds very nice. Can you give us details and is it a Magna Flow?😍
