Incorrect. There were other signs, but I knew he had his balls clipped after he made a serious argument that women are smarter than men. You obviously haven’t been paying attention if you honestly think that’s something Bill Burr of 2010 would do.

  • @Yanpac

The only guy that really scared me in this show was Patsy. He rarely laughs, he is cold, calculating, competent. Tony surely saw him as a potential threat. Very well acting. "It won't be cinematic."

The actor was originally billed to just play Philly Spoons who was seen and then whacked in like 5 min. He impressed Chase and the guys so much that they created a part for him as Patsy ... Philly's twin brother. And he wound up doing a phenomenal job and becoming a huge part of the series.

    • @SittingBull99
      @SittingBull99 3 роки тому +165

And I still think he was behind the hit on Tony to end the series. Outstanding grievance over his twin brother that he's kept buried, did whatever was asked of him for years to deflect suspicion, struck when he saw that Tony lost most of his support, and Patrick is about to wed Meadow. If that theory is the correct interpretation, it makes Patsy the Littlefinger of the show.

    • @binaryusenet4943

Like Tony said to Beansie in Florida, "has he (Paulie) ever been put to the test?" There really has not been a situation on the show when Paulie had the chance to change families and us viewers find out if Paulie wants to stay where he is or will happily go to New York. If Paulie did not find out that John was playing him with saying Carmine asks about him Paulie would still have been kissing John's ass and telling John Sopranos business.

He doesn't like Christopher because he knows he's a junkie and can't be trusted for serious stuff, and that he doesn't deserve to get promoted to captain. it's nepotism by Tony, who himself became boss that way.
For that reason the old timers never liked Tony, and disapproved of most of his decisions. And by promoting Christopher so much you can see how the old timers get increasingly more annoyed with Tony.
And if you think about it, they were right, Tony basically ended the NJ Italian mafia, just by whacking so many people including his own crew
Tony himself in the end had no choice but to admit it was a mistake to try molding Christopher to be his right hand/successor with him being an addict and whacked him

Always had an intelligent look to him, one of his sons went legal just like Meadow and they eventually met (which is wonderful but I wanted to smash tbh), would kick the shit outta ya however, like he did at the construction site argument with Chrissy, and played it smart until the end where he probably killed Tony and became underboss, I think.

So Patsy as a Made Guy acted as Little Paulie's "champion" in the matter to bring it to the table. From there Patsy gave Little Paulie the ok to plead his case, and then it was up to the Made Guys to discuss and resolve. That's why Patsy chastises Little Paulie when he pipes up, he's already been given consideration, and he doesn't have a say in the deal making.

Agreed, but it's not like it was the first time Ralph made a sick joke. He referred to Vito's brother as "not that bright to begin with" as the dude was lying in a coma surrounded by Tony and the crew. Ralph + alcohol/drugs = Chaos.

Johnny wasn't the boss yet when the joke was made, carmine was still it. It was only the new jersey family at that dinner, that's why tony got so pissed off that someone in his family told johnny sack about it. The one who opened his mouth and told johnny sack was the one committing suicide. that's why in later episodes tony contemplates killing paulie while they're on the boat.

+Mugen He was still the underboss of New York, that makes him superior to Tony Soprano.

+Mos Eisley No it doesn't. Having a bigger family doesn't make you superior. An analogy for example, while Obama is more powerful than than the prime minister of india for example, it doesn't mean Obama can come and tell the prime minister of India what to do.
Title-wise, they are equal, neither is superior, sure in a war, Johnny's mob would win, but a BOSS is a BOSS, regardless of how big the family is, they are still respected, which is why Leotardo was hesitant at first to take out Tony, that's why before they wanted to take out someone like Chrissy, etc.
Tony has more power than Johnny Sack, because he can decide who lives and who dies, no other made man can do that, he can decide when to go to war. John cannot, Carmine does that. Until John became boss, John would have to get Carmine's permission for pretty much anything under the sun.
      Tony has no boss.
