    Question: Would rotating the sticks while crystalizing n cooled down help fully coat any gaps n help maximize growth or would it damage n break down any future crystals?

      Yes you can use cake pop stick. I probably wouldn’t reuse the syrup because it crystallizes at the bottom of the cup. You could try and maybe it would work.

      I know pure science :) Thank you I'm trying to produce better quality video. I just need better lighting but that will have to wait until I make some money lol. Have an awesome week. Thank you for the support.

    • @shariscouponingfun1733
      @shariscouponingfun1733 7 років тому

      Dont worry you really dont need money to make better lighting. Go check out some of the Videos you can find on here about cheap lighting. You can make your own ring light (what the professionals use) for $10-$20 maybe less depending on what you have around the house. Its basically done with strip lighting, aluminum foil, and a wire wreath form. You can also use regular ol white light bulbs to help! One piece of advice I would give you would be to put your tripod up a bit higher so you are looking straight towards the camera instead of down on it. There are a bunch of Videos out there about camera angles too! Ive been doing lots of research if you cant tell! Hehe! Also, focus a lot on your thumbnails since that is your first point of contact with your viewer! Your rock candy one looks REALLY EXTRA NICE! If you haven't gotten TubeBuddy yet check that out! They have thumbnail generators and other amazing help. I made a Video explaining what it does if you dont know. GOODLUCK! You are doing GREAT!

    • @cookingwithalittlespice
      @cookingwithalittlespice  7 років тому

      Thank you I definitely have done a lot of research with thumbnails for cooking channels. It's a lot different so I've been fulling around trying to find the right way that I like it. My older thumbnails weren't very good for sure. lol I actually had my husband put white light bulbs in a long time ago but as you can see the lighting is worse with them. Unfortunately the light bulbs were really expensive :( You are right! I was thinking about getting my other tripod out. It is taller. It's just more work setting up so I haven't used it yep. I will see about using it. Thanks for the advice.

    • @shariscouponingfun1733
      @shariscouponingfun1733 7 років тому

      HA! You should see me! I've got my tripod stacked on top of stacks of boxes, chairs and anything else I can find to get it up higher! THEN I've got lights everywhere stacked on top of other boxes n' stuff! My kids arent even allowed to walk by it! HA! I WILL say that is probably one of the more challenging parts about filming is finding a good place to do it where the lighting hits off things right! I found smaller white rooms seem to really help bounce light with bright colors in the background. You cant really do that in your kitchen though, so I bet its triple as challenging! Honestly I dont think the lighting looks bad AT ALL in your video. It actually looks GREAT! :) I think the way alot of people get them to look so good is in their editor. Playing around with colors/contrast in there. As for me I cant seem to get away from Windows Movie Maker! HA! All the other ones seem so HARD to learn after using that one! :)

    What can you use if you don't have the flavouring syrup ?

    • @SpiritoftheHarvestMoon
      @SpiritoftheHarvestMoon 2 роки тому

      Maybe Try kool aid, seems like 1/4 to 1/3 cup of sugar to a one standard kool aid packet is a good ratio for candy. But I’ve heard somewhere that the kool aid flavoring can kinda slow down or prevent big crystals from forming when making rock candy.

    I need advice pls. Everytime the sugar always comes of the skewer

    • @cookingwithalittlespice
      @cookingwithalittlespice  4 роки тому

      Do you mean after trying to put the skewers into the simple syrup or to get it onto the skewer it's self?

    • @micahalcisto3169
      @micahalcisto3169 4 роки тому

      Cooking With A Little Spice I leave the skewer in the syrup for a day. And when I checked it there was no sugar on the skewer

    • @cookingwithalittlespice
      @cookingwithalittlespice  4 роки тому

      If you put the skewers in the syrup well it's still hot the sugar will melt right off the skewer. Sometimes I do a double coat of sugar on the skewers just so some sugar stays on. If the sugar doesn't melt off right away then you are all good. It's just a waiting game.

    • @micahalcisto3169
      @micahalcisto3169 4 роки тому

      Cooking With A Little Spice I’ve done that. I let the syrup cool down for about 10 min and the sticks. Then I have three each for a experiment. One in a room, freezer and refrigerator. Just one day. I check it and there is no sugar on the stick
