I thought the same too, Marnie before release would have been just a normal gothic girl who is surprisingly a strong Trainer that she somehow got a lot of crazed fans doing anything for her to become Champion. She doesn't like Team Yell because they make people think she's a bad and spoiled brat who wants to be famous but she isn't

I love how Gloria was having all those stereotypical assumptions about Marnie, before seeing how she really is in contrast to her imagination. This video is a pretty good lesson! More often then not, we end up being judgemental of those around us without trully getting to know them, sometimes without even realizing we're being like that. And this video shows perfectly well how wrong that is. Those were some pretty dark assumptions Gloria was making of Marnie based on mere glimpses she got of the girl, but they felt relatable because... those are probably the imagery we would've had too if we were in her place. And they happen so quick, like *seconds* before we can see that's not the case at all, and we're already presuming _"oh, she's smoking! she's a gangster!"_ or _"oh, she's staring down that old lady! she's gonna flick her off!"_ Sorry. I know this video probably didn't mean to be _that_ deep and this is mostly my thoughts on the matter, but I just really liked this. Gloria slowly deconstructing her first impressions on Marnie and seeing her for the sweethear that she actually is was a beautiful development, but also one that felt relatable! Like, I could see myself in Gloria's place, having those initial thoughts and doubts, before finally realizing they were all wrong to begin with. And then growing to like Marnie, instead of fear her. I dunno! I just love this animation!

Not defending it, as honestly I couldn't care less, but there is a reason and it's not simply that Gamefreak are lazy, it's that they literally are unable to commit the time to making things as smooth and perfect as people want. It's the same argument people make for mods in games like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. "Well modders were able to add all the transformations that completely swap out character models and make hair spike up, why can't Dimps (the devs)!?" and the answer is the same: the modders have all the time in the world to work on it, but the devs have extremely strict deadlines and minor aesthetic things were very low on their lists of priorities and as soon as they finish one part of the game they're working on they've already started on a dozen others.

Well, if we're talking cutscenes you gotta compare something like this to the scenes where the characters aren't just using canned animations like Hop's goshdarn Hau Hands. Those are typically alright, albeit pretty short ... and then the Piers scene happens. Who the hell thought that awkward mess was good to go?
This....is just so beyond words adorable. Amazing job with this project. The animation is so fluid it really puts the actual game to shame. Hope to see more Pokémon from you hopefully! @@nonnolento the point is pbr was made a long ass time ago. its 2019, they can ATLEAST make more than THREE animations per a pokemon. Each pokemon has three battle animations and that's not alot. and who the fuc even cares about camp animation, its not what we're playing for. GF is dumb
