The small touches like accidentally slamming a butcher's knife into a cutting board, small sideways glances, and occasional moments that distract from the task at hand make quite a difference. The mundane task and the realism of chopping veggies paired with the absurdity of potato GLaDOS, Marnie teasing her Morpeko while being absolutely adorable, Eevie chilling, Gloria yeeting the squirrel, the pudding gag in the end.... you rock, man
It is a rule when making any large meal, especially stews like goulash, that you must begin the hours long process with some knife tricks with the biggest knife you can find to assert dominance.
My thing is grabbing a sharp knife, holding it out in front of me and saying "At last, my arm is complete again!" like Sweeney Todd with a barber razor before getting on with it.
You know what, as amazing as this is, I think I appreciate the realism of stuff like the butter sticking to the knife or having to actually try to empty the can the most. That's some attention to detail.
I love when anything does that, I know this is a bit off topic but that's why the older Lego games were the best because they had to use jesters and funny little bits as their own words.
I love how they're realistically cooking curry (which is actually a process that has many more steps than the minigame in SwSh), complete with ingredient preparation and requiring multiple people to cook that much curry in a reasonable amount of time.
It’s honestly the most well made, cutest, and most humorous animation I’ve seen on UA-cam. The detail on how Morpeko got angry too! This deserves an Academy Award.

For once, someone actually acknowledges sound. It feel like an under appreciated art form these days, unless you work in music. The amount of time and effort a lot of us soundies go to is never truly appreciated by the masses
Salty Candy Stuff I he mean those true story telling channel with obscure plot that the word “true” become invalid. The animation in those channel is so shallow like produce a video every day while many talented animators take weeks months too make one video. And the animation are not animation at all it look they use photoshop to move the characters on screen.
Just want to take a moment of appreciation for the sound design in this short. It's really spot on, you did a really good job for sound design in this short.
Isn't it sad how this has so much more animation and express on how the characters are than the actual game? This should had been what the in game cooking is like. Awesome animation, dude.

Yeah, the animations themselves were a little on the rougher side, but there was so much character in the animation.
That’s why I love John Sandwich. His animations don’t need much more as they perfectly reflect what life would be in these situations.

And the animation are not animation at all it look they use photoshop to move the characters on screen.

Just want to take a moment of appreciation for the sound design in this short. It's really spot on, you did a really good job for sound design in this short.

Isn't it sad how this has so much more animation and express on how the characters are than the actual game? This should had been what the in game cooking is like. Awesome animation, dude.
@Hyper Helios Pokemon is the richest thing. It have many animtors but it still too lazy to make something. One human made this, then why horde of animators can't?

@Hyper Helios Imagine if they would add the possibility to chose a bad path . Nothing big like in undertale but new dialog and character behavior( badpath : your rival actually tries to stop you because he doesn’t like your choices or vice versa and you get best friends)
대사 없어서 신비스러운 분위기이고, 일상 코믹인데 너무 부산스럽지 않고 잔잔하게 웃긴 면도 있고, 무엇보다 포켓몬과 함께하는 일상 오브 일상이라서 너무너무 좋아요
