I watched this movie when I was 12 on family vacation at 2 in the morning ,laying on my stomach completely sun burnt , one of my favorite and most terrifying memories surprisingly
Honestly one of the best horror films to date. It hasn’t aged a bit either, used to watch it nonstop as a kid and it’s still good.

Just finish watching this again on Netflix, I gotta say, even though there are moments in this movie where the characters made very questionable decisions... this is still one of the better horror movies I’ve seen. Very underrated, and it’s actually has a nice balance between exciting, creepy and gruesome.
Just find it strange watching Sam Winchester being so helpless lol. But I’m sure this movie is made before Supernatural, so...

I think this movie is one of the reason I love horror movie so much since I was a kid. This movie just *chef kiss* good. I think the absurd reason why I love this movie is because the main character are sibling. Idk man I love a good movie without a forced "romance" between the characters. House of Wax, Dead Silence, and The Skeleton Key are three top tier movie as a kid back then.

Still a good movie and surprisingly holds up pretty well! MTV used to show it all the time, years ago. The 2000s had some good horror films, in retrospect. Better than the ones that came out in the 2010's, which were more or less about the supernatural. The 2000s had more variety.

i absolutely adore that shot of wade at 1:09. the statue in the finalized film looks MUCH better, but i love the natural, somewhat desaturated coloring of the scene shown here. makes it look way more uncanny than the saw-esque filter that was used in the finalized version imo
Yeah that’s not Wade tho… they make it look like it’s the same scene but actually that’s from another scene in the church, when Carley realized that everyone in the church is not real.
@@dangohm1761 Ah, I meant the statue shown after that! The one that gave the side eye after being poked. It’s obviously supposed to be Wade, but it just looks… off, haha.
I agree with you that all of the wax figures look much better in the final movie, though, including the ones shown in the church.

I love this film and the way it looks I don't understand the hate on this film and why people think it's boring it is a masterpiece The Kills, The Killers, Soundtrack, everything about this film is great! Especially love the wax museum itself this movie is honestly very underrated and I feel like it deserves a lot more love especially for slasher fans!

This is one of the Best Movies Ever!! I love Jared Padalecki so much (he is my Favorite actor, and I do love him in this movie) but Chad Michael Murray/Nick is my Favorite character in the movie, he is a Total Badass! I love House of Wax so much!!

Man! They give away far too much in this trailer. Much better if you have no idea when watching a movie. My first time, I had absolutely no idea what this wax horror thing is about. This trailer tells you right off the bat that the horror is real being waxed.

Me… they killed Isaiah and made him into a wax figure. The family is still looking for him. Sadly they are going to get away with it on earth but in spirit their time is up.
I think I watched this twice and I will again and again. Extremely fascinating plot that gets your mind racing. Yes Paris Hilton is a bit cheesy being in this, but it helped bring the budget up no doubt. If you're into twisted and deep horror movies (and not just tacky jump scares every 30 seconds) this one is worth a watch.

Absolutely agree with all those saying it was underrated. Yeah yeah yeah Paris Hilton's in it but she's no better or worse than any other horror movie actress so didn't distract me at all.

This trailer does it no justice , Deadly flick , im not a Paris H fan but she is good in this , Really well done most of the effects are real , some CGI /FX but very little so the movie still holds up to this day which is super rare for this early 2000 movie
