I like the way you've always done your videos Adam, it's nice to see the entire process and your "failings" so to speak, it's really reassuring to know we all have them and interesting to see how you overcome them.
Especially if you don't edit things down, we the viewers can learn more and might be able to mend our own engines better because we don't miss out anything important!
Keep on going the way you always have done - no part of your videos are boring :)

you do just fine, it is fine to see the whole proces. you could even let the video bee longer.

I enjoy seeing the whole process and 4 or 5 hour long videos is just right for me. Having the will it start at the end of the last video is a nice bit of suspense. 🙂

My vote, keep the videos as they are. The producers I get fed up with personally are the ones who hardly speak and use a lot of time lapse so you can't see what's going on without pi$$ing about slowing them down.

I like the warts and all approach, that way you can learn more about the engine as well as learning from your mistakes.

I like the way you do your videos, if you run into a issue we all can see how it comes about.
Also love your click torque wrench.

I ran into the same problem on a 1947 international w4.. the little gear fell out and messed up the mag timing.. fortunately there were timing marks on the gear.. very small and two sets of marks.. one for gas and another for kerosene..if I remember correctly.. keep the great videos coming.. I really enjoy them.. !

    Thanks for all your efforts.

Big thanks Mr Fenn we had the same issue with my Coventry Victor flat twin, we followed your instructions on how to time the magneto and it fired up 2nd swing, thanks again 👍👍

Hi Adam, Sorry I meant to add I personally like seeing the whole process of how you go about working on an engine and diagnosing the issues. The timing of that magneto is a good example. There are not many people who learn these skills anymore in a throw away world and seeing engines repaired for little or nothing is refreshing.

Keep the format as it is now. Warts and all. It is more realistic and shows what working on an old engine is really like 👍

Been watching your channel for years now and I've always loved the video format you use simply because you see all the little nicks and nacks with all the little mishaps that happen too which shows people it isn't straight forward and easy with engines. Also its nice for it not to be rushed like other channels do 👍 I would never have guessed it was a petter but she is definitely a good find and she's going to make a good series, see you in the next one 👍

2A… I must be as rusty as that fan.. of course it’s a 2A, as in 2xA…… I’m a big fan of petter twins, normally A2, PA2.. and I should have known! As an aside, you spoke to both of my uncles in your henham video…. I’ll let you guess who they are!
But, this is right up my street. These were commonly fitted to AM compressor sets, there is one at flixton museum. Also, the mag shares parts with the PA2 mag, (gear reduction distributor) and I think I’m correct in saying that the ally pistons, and corresponding cylinders are the same as series one AS 👍

Where do you come across all these old somewhat unusual engines ?. I was born and raised on a farm over 80 years ago, familiar with all kinds of motors and machinery but you show me some I have never seen before.

What happened to the black plastic knob and spring assembly on the right hand side of the magneto ?. There before you had no spark, gone when you came back with a nice blue spark. Wasn't a stop switch of some kind was it?, in the off position ?. Just curious.

Would it not be an idea to pull the plugs before you turn it over too much and dose them with WD 40 or whatever you are using? Rings may be stuck on an engine that hasnt ran for years and you are lubing dry bores. Great content ...am an avid watcher

SORRY MATE THE TIMEING IS STILL WRONG, LOOK AT WERE THE LEADS ARE THEY ARE NOT 3 AND 9 O`OCLOCK THEY ARE BETWEEN 1 AND 2 WITH THE OTHER AT 7 AND 8 O`OCLOCK. P.S. REMOVE THE CENTRE LEAD FROM THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND PLACE IT CLOSE TO THE ENGINE BODY THEN CRANK IT OVER IT SAVES A LOT OF TIME THAT WAY. I ALL WAYS DO IT THAT WAY OK MATE
