Mate, that DZO zooms like butter! Need one ASAP. Almost identical to how I'd shoot something like this. Good stuff!

Mate I know this is a year old but I ended up snagging a 20-55. Wow, so happy with it!

This was something new and refreshing. Great idea to break down this type of docu shoot which is sometimes a hectic situation to work in. But still, you need to be able to capture the necessary content and be confident you got what you need. This comes just with experience. Another important learning is that you edit your content. Without that step, you might think you nailed it but in the editing room, you will notice what is missing and where you can improve next time.
Good work on the coverage and please continue to upload these types of videos. Entertaining for us camera nerds and good content to learn tips and tricks from other content creators :)

Editing your own work is huge! A lot of the time the best editors are the best directors!

Thanks for this video, man, was debating on what to get for the events coming up this year. I have the URSA 12k with the DZOFilm 20-55, but I need an easy rig; I was thinking about getting the MiniMax. Also, please look at the small rig wireless follow focus on the direction and zooming.

No problem mate 👍 Great setup there! The easy rig is definitely a back saver!

How do you capture audio in an event like that?

I have an assistant carrying some camera gear who is also walking around with a NTG4+ boom mic into a Rode Wireless (news shooter kit) system receiving sound straight into the camera. This is mainly for general ambience in each space and for a few interviews / sound bites throughout the day.

@@JoshuaKirkNZ Thank you! Would love to see you do a video covering your audio setups in Doc/Event/Studio spaces. Or even if you're willing to share stories of setups you've done in the past w/ gear & crew involved. Blessings!

Why would you not just Record longer Clips? seems like everey 20-30sec there is a cene you use or atleast want to have recorded. isnt it easyer to only stop recording if you know the next 30 sec wont be a new scene you need? or is it a storage problem?
