I don't see it any differently, They showed her breasts 3 times just in the trailer. And also her feet. Marketing. Guess how many times you'll see in the actual movie. It's now all about her looks, not her acting skills, which is why I don't watch these type of movies anymore.

She’s played in a lot of serious stuff pre euphoria. It’s cool to see her back into the dramatic roles again after playing mean girls in euphoria and white lotus.

Maybe it’s just the way the trailer is edited, but it looks like it’s full of the quiet quiet bang type jumpscare structure of much contemporary horror, but also looks really nicely and elegantly shot. I’m hoping it’s going to be something more subtle and psychological but I’ll guess we’ll just have to wait and see
Also not to be crude, but the fact Sweeney seems to have a habit of not shying away from nude scenes, including an erotic thriller and the fact she was allegedly going to cast in a remake of Barbarella immediately made me think this could be more the sexy nun, Benedetta type film

Do you see the blatant terrifiying psychological scenes, we dont need no eerie build up or jumpscare sydney is seen just walking through the hall and a womens body falls from the building. Amazingly surprising.
It's definitely doesn't look like a sexy nun type film, and that last shot of the trailer definitely makes it seem like it's elegantly crafted. I'm hoping the scenes where Sydney isn't fully clothed is acc part of the plot tho

This actually looks really good, and a very well made trailer- especially the end part. I thought it'd just be another generic nun horror movie, but it's a take on Mary. Glad to see Sydney Sweeney in more roles like this, go watch Nocturne if you haven't!

This was a great movie! Sydney Sweeney’s acting was INCREDIBLE. She’s a fantastic very talented actress. She was so good that the movie would have not been the same without her. The scene of her screaming at the very end, damn that was 100% talent. And I thought the entire ending was a masterpiece

Vu en AVP : une excellente surprise qui a le mérite de sortir des sempiternelles productions américaines (Nonne - Conjuring..). Extrêmement soigné sur la forme, ce long métrage bénéficie d'une lumière naturelle et d'une direction artistique de toute beauté. Le montage est resserré et ne laisse aucun plan au hasard (les plans en plongée et contre plongée qui traduisent rapidement une entité supérieure et oppressante sur ses proies par exemple). On y retrouve également un hommage très appuyé aux Gallios italiens qui ont fait les belles heures des années 70 (Dario Argento, Lamberto Bava, Mario Bava..) mais également un clin d'œil à des cinéastes plus contemporains comme Neil Marshall (The Descent). Dense dans sa réflexion, il en oublie pas d'insufler un parfum de soufre sur les sanctuaires religieux avec une radicalité assez inhabituelle. Réservé à un public averti et exigeant.

If the trailer had cut at 1:14, it would have been much better. That was enough to draw you in and make you want to find out what happens. The last 43 seconds of the trailer pretty much exhausts you and you no longer care.

I can't be the only one who's tired of seeing nuns portrayed as demons/pregnant/lesbian/slutty/pregnant with demons/etc. How about a film where nuns are, you know, actual nuns. The ones that actually help their communities in times of great need. I'm sure there's tons of great films to be made in that space. Look at Mother Cabrini.
Or one that explores how unapologetically sexy pregnant women can be instead of just being either angelically wholesome figures or Debbie Downers who can’t wait till the baby is out because of how (understandably) painful pregnancy can be.
There can be a balance of one or the other while also showing off how pregnant women are horny as hell and deserve to have it as is based off their own accord.
Maybe that will happen when so many of these real nuns to stop being so damn demonic? like have you heard the shit that happens in catholic schools and monasteries ?
