No. No. No. that’s completely garbage. Spinning reels are not like baitcasters, a few wraps around the spool and the line will not slip on a spinning reel spool.
@@teeanahera8949 You need to use 10# monofilament as a backing primer. Then use an Alberto knot to attach your main line braid. Use fluorocarbon as a lead.
Absolutely ridiculous. People really need to learn physics. Just use a piece of electrical tape. I've worked in the trade for 30 years and had to respool dozens and dozens of customers reels who thought this was a good idea.😢
None of these comments are necessary. Always go around the spool 6 or 7 times then tie the knot. Wet the knot so it cinches up tightly. No backing and no tape required.
Doesn’t matter what knot you use, braid can and will slip on a spool without tape or a backing.
A wrap of electrical tape around the spool has never failed me.
I have braid on 2 spinning reels and no slippage. Still I want to take precautions just in case.

@@autumnfragrance6326No. Use a double uni knot.
Thank you for an excellent demonstration clear and concise will give it a try
Works well. Just did with mine for M rod. 14lbs PE 0.6 Tsurinoya line. thank you for the tutorial.
It doesn't work well. Just use a piece of electrical tape.
We have the same line
NICE WORK MATE VERY WELL DONE IAM WATCHING FROM AUSTRALIA TIGHT LINES EVERYONE 👍 👌 👏 😀
Electrical tape works great
Yes. And I think it will also be useful as a filler on the spool under the 0.06 rope. Thanks, I will try this.
Thanks i just spooled mine!
Thank you for not making this 5min long for a 20second demonstration 😂🙏🏾
Daaaaaang
Never seen that one before. I'll give her a whirl. Thanks!
I've tried this knot when braid dries out this still spins.
constrictor knot is better.
Electric tape and make it tight, no issues ever
@@diziscurran doesn't work in hot weather.
hello what size of your braid pine use? thanks
Great video thanks 😊

What i want to know is what brand name are those scissors that cut that braid line so easily and without no hesitation!
Awesome vid, thank you and God bless. Jesus loves you❤️
Best video thanks.
Dude thanks! 🙏
I just fix the braid with a small piece of tape and then make the spool. With 300m of braid on the spool it will never slip
Thank U❤
Thank you, ill post some pictures after i go catching.
left a massive tag end.
The best way to tie braid to a spool is by tying mono to the spool.
Agree sir.. I used it also. Mono before braided line. 😊
Should i put electric tape on before?
No, no need for tape on a spinning reel spool. Just make sure you get 5 or 6 loops with any knot around that spool.
Will just spin on the spool without mono backing😂
Drill a hole on your spool all the way through.

What’s the line cutters ur using?
I was wondering the same thing!
Answer the man !
I'm too cheap to put braid all the way down to the spool.
lol just two overhands are good...not a backwards tripple reverse uni whatever this is...
Thanks.
You have to bed a spool with mono to keep line from slipping. At 65 ,im not even wasting time trying this. Thank you.
You really dont have to do that its a similar situation when putting backing on a fly reel no mono is needed.
I've been putting braid directly on to the reel for 15 years... never slipped.
You’re old and misinformed is all i got from your comment
Yeah at that age you might perish trying to figure out that knot!!!
@@getcrossedgetmossedit slips when it gets wet this is a fact
FAILED. knot slipped out tag end.
Electric tape and this knot and no issues ever!
❤thank you.
Thank you❤
Still can't get the knot to hug the bail tight. 0/5 this sucks bc you aren't explaining this in depth
Put a layer of electrical tape on the reel, first. It helps to prevent slipping * ✨
Or some mono first then braid

Your supposed to put on a mono or test base than put braid on it
That’s not necessary.
No you’re not. Where did you get such a crazy idea. Any line join is a weakness, don’t do it. Braid straight to the spool and fill her up.
is there a specific amount of times you go around the line
Personally, I make from four to seven turns, depending on the thickness of the braid
@@Time--to--Rest thank you
That was the worst demonstration ever at every crucial point instead of slowing down it was speeded up
Jeeze Louis!
This knot was shit don’t tighten down to the bell
