John makes it look so easy. Filming myself this past year really showed me how hard it is to get good consistent video. The Drone shots are just as difficult. He puts so much effort into the filming.
You do a great job. One thing g that gets me is when rods in the crate obstructs the view. Another is when the camper is mounted low and in front of the angler. The ole crotch shot. I like Old Lady Angler. I think she has some great camera work.
I think you got best mounts & the best cameras, & where they are mounted, my favorite is the one behind you, we can see all of the catches, the head mounts makes me dizzy & the chest mounts don't capture everything, like bending down, don't get to see your hands, what you're doing & audio is great also, are you going to get some creek uv hoodies long sleeve shirts & my hats I perfer cloth top with a velcro or a buckle type, I know you may not want these because they are more expensive & the demand may not be there!👍🎣
Love the placement advice. I'm old, fat, bald, so will need to figure out if I can put a rear camera where I could remove it. But that front camera system (getting it out of the way) is awesome! Thanks!
Meanwhile... while you're getting actual Sunshine, we're getting plenty of "Liquid Sunshine"...& some Wind, too! We're currently experiencing the Rain and Wind from Tropical Storm Ophelia. We've picked up at least a couple of inches of Rain, and we don't expect it to stop raining, until sometime overnight, or tomorrow morning. Apparently, this Storm jogged a bit further to the west, than they thought it was going to, so...yeah. Rain...and plenty of it. Glad to see it, though. We've been looking at near-severe drought conditions, for the past month or so, so this rain is definitely beneficial, and I thank God for the rain! This is a great tutorial video. Happy trails, tight lines, and plenty of fish and subscribers, to you! God bless you and yours!
I loved the new intro in the 2nd day of the tournament video. Falling in and timed perfectly with the music was great! LOL!! Love the videos. I have so many hours of video but I am old and do not play well with computers so editing is quite a chore for me. LOL!!!
I know nothing about fishing 😂 but I came across your video looking for ideas for mounting GoPros to a kayak. Great information. Really thoughtful advice. Thanks so much for this - your audio sounds great! 😊
I use the Lens Mod on my Hero 9 for the horizon leveling. I like the DJI Action 3 because you don't have to have a lens mod for horizon leveling. Con with the Action 3 is it doesn't charge from an external power supply while recording. I've spent as much time honing my camera as fishing. Just part of getting better.
Hey John, great video! Would you mind sharing what resolution and fps you use on your gopro? Also, could you share the size specs on your pvc mount you use on your Old Town? Thanks for sharing!
This is some very good information John. I very much enjoy the angles you use for your cameras. Infact I always feel like I am present during the journey, which is what got me hooked in the first point. GOD BLESS and GO KATS!!!!!!!
What kind of pocket knife do you use to cut the PVC? Hey! Thanks for all the great videos and the tips for you tubers who want to improve their videos. I will be making some videos in the new used 14.6 canoe I recently bought.
If you put a few more elbows on the pvc, you can fix your head blocking issue by putting it a little more off to the side. As always, i enjoy watching your videos.
Great info ! The rear camera makes us feel like we are there with you. Always be careful. Pap Blevins
Very informative video Jon!!!! I've always wondered how you do all the cameras and things!!! Appreciate your time and effort in the videos 📹 👍
I like the one behind you it's almost like being in the kayak

Thanks for taking time to show us that. Looks like you still have the boat you found in the river👍
Thanks for the information on setting up cameras. Keep the videos coming. Great content 🙏👍
Great informational video for those of us who may be considering making UA-cam videos but haven't actually done so yet.

Great video! Just purchased an Old Town kayak and wanted to capture my fishing.
Dude!, awesome…. I’ve been waiting for this video. Thank you! 🙏

You always do a good job John, well most of the time lol.
Great video. Thanks for sharing!
However, you do it, John. It usually comes out fantastic. You Let us see things, things we don't normally see.
John is a tinkerer at heart.
true
I appreciate the info! Are you recording in 4k? Also, what SD card size are you using to record all day from your back camera?
I remember that boat behind you.
What video editing software do you use? I think I use Power director 365
