This is a $1,000 dollar a year hobbie for a guy on a budget like me. If it's not on clearance sale I don't get it. Is it a bad habit or a hobbie good old fishing. Is nothing like 25 years ago is all about 💰 and going up.

I'm a Shimano guy and have many different outfits to apply to different situations. It's costly but worth it because I keep the Walleye, White Bass, Sauger, Saugeye, Crappie, Bluegill, Trout and some catfish I catch. The gear lasts long but I keep getting every lure and accessory I see. It gets costly

looks pretty close to my collection, I have given away like 20 to family and friends over the years but still have this pile. Lets not even talk about the bait room...😮😮

I recently went through all my Bass stuff and got rid of a lot. Sold some and donated a lot to some local programs. I'm afraid I'm gonna end up in the same rabbit hole with bfs.

You have a heck of a collection! Mine is small at the moment but the more different types of fishing I wanna do the more rods I add to my arsenal. I am learning more and more as I go and thank you for all the info and your videos. You have inspired me to start the channel I have fishing and trying to Praise the Lord through it all. I must really have a problem. I probably have about the same amount of setups and don’t fish on UA-cam. Fishing is just my hobby. I don’t have a boat. I have a kayak but 90% of my fishing is from shore. Thanks for sharing. It’s a passion!

There may be a group, maybe in a local fishing store, that gives fishing gear to children. I recommend looking for that kind of group and help a child get into fishing.

My guess your rod/reels are around $6.5K. So, I am $3.5K short. I say you need some saltwater setups. You need it for your next Florida trip.

Man I used to rebuilt rod and reels and give them to kids for years ! But nowadays slot of kids don’t want one and the ones that do have a parent that fishes and buys them top of the line

I was ballpark between 6K 6500 rods and another 3K in reels so I wasn't too far off. I think we're eventually going to need a 12 step Outdoorsman group.....just saying I know I've spent that much or more over the years. Congrats on the new house brother. Blessings
