Amazing review!! I like that you actually show the taper of the rod! That’s something a lot of other UA-camrs don’t do! Keep up the good work! Can’t wait to see more content like this from your channel
What a great review. I am in the process of exploring and developing a BFS approach here in Western Australia. Everyone here is fixated on fixed spool reels for light tackle fishing. Baitcasters eliminate line twist and with the amount of casting I do per session this is important. Keep the info coming, it's much appreciated. Thanks for sharing.
Shop around, plenty of new reels out there. Even DC models from KAST KING. YOU WILL BE SURPRISED. also be ready to spend $200 for a GOOD reel that you will be VERY happy with. I’ve modified several myself with good results. HOWEVER, straight out of the box and a good preformer is always nice. The big name companies have what you will need. Also rods are a dime a dozen. You will wind up with something you like 😉🎣
Nice review! Really appreciate the section with loading of the rod with some weight that you do. Gives a good picture of the action. I have the exact same rod, have had mine for a while but need to use it more!
New subscriber here. I love your reviews mate! Very detailed and comprehensive. I've had this rod in my cart for a while, but haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. After watching this, I probably will as soon as the next sale starts this coming week. Thank you for this great review!
By all accounts this a good rod that i was considering purchasing. However the very through information given in this vid has saved me the expense of buying one and not being able to use it in my preferred fishing technique due to the eyes being too small for a bobber stop. Thank you. (channel subbed)
Glad to hear it saved you both time and money! Few things suck more than buying something and only realising afterwards it can't do what you wanted. Appreciate the feedback!
Excellent review 👍.. better than any i have seen..no nonsense no STOOOPID RAP OR LOUD BACKGROUND UNNECESSARY SOUNDS OR MUSIC ...just a real informative review to aid the consumer in making a decision 👍..thank u.. only one hang up.. I have yet to see anyone do a review on the spinning rod version ❓❓❓
Thank you for the feedback and kind words. Good to know what I'm doing right. Can't remember that I've seen a spinning version reviewed either, but if they use the same blank, which they are likely to do, I'm sure it would be a solid performing allrounder. I rarely review spinning gear if similar casting rods are available, as I find them more comfortable and fit my tastes a little better. Thanks again!
I have had 4 Handing ultra light casting rods and all of them have snapped unfortunately. One of them broke just by falling over. Nice rods at first, but they just don’t hold up.
I just got mine, but i do see a difference. Instead of a 1-4 lb test rating, my rod says 3-8 lb test. Its still the light 6 ft version and everything else shown in the video is the same. Maybe their new ones are being made a little stiffer?
Hi Barry! I believe you purchased the Light version? The light is rated 3-8LB and 2-10g casting weight. I have the Ultralight version. I've been tempted to pick up the light version as well, as a little more backbone would be useful for specific lures
@@LightTackleLureAnglingYes I think on the Amazn site the tab for the UL version of the 6 ft doesn’t show up as a choice, thats probably my error, the UL version seems out of stock right now on other sites too. I tried it lawn casting and this light version has more moderate action but very snappy casting with lots of line speed, seems very capable for light lures.
It’s a difficult one. They are stamped as Fuji guides and visually look like Fuji guides, but BFS Fishing Channel did note the stamp was on the outside and believes the stamp is usually inside on standard Fuji guides. I am honestly not expert enough to tell the difference between real authentic Fuji Guides and good fake ones. They look real enough to me, when comparing to my Shimano and Daiwa rods with Fuji guides, and with the stamp on there, it’s enough for me. Handing has made an active effort to establish their brand in recent months. I don’t believe a brand will go through the efforts of marketing and building brand presence only to do something silly like lie about a replica component. Something that could be easily refuted. Stranger things have happened, but in this case I am willing to give Handing the benefit of the doubt and accept they are indeed Fuji guides.

I love my 6’ and 6’6” version. They’ve handled some big Texas bass.
Fantastic review! Thorough yet quick and to the point. Good job, I subscribed!
Much appreciated!
I have a couple and I agree, they are great little rods.
I just bought one, thank you for the great review!
This is the best Rod review I’ve seen. Wow

Go for it. I have the same Rod. Would I buy it again ? YES , I just bought the 4’9” version for another reel. Very nice rods.
Very good review Sir.
Great review!
Great detail review.

Alleged Fuji guides hehe. Remember the printing on the guides is in an unusual position?

Qué sedal es el que usas ? Que diámetro?
Can anyone compare this to the dobyns Sierra trout and panfish
Have u used the spinning rod one
@@Deltanumb1 unfortunately not, but would assume they use the same blank.
