I have tried several tutorials on painting roses... Yours is the only instruction that actually turned out a rose. I haven't tried the glass yet. But I will. Every time you do a tutorial I pick parts of it to practice. With your instructions on birds I have done many shore birds that my family actually ask me for the paintings. I have only been painting since Oct. and your instructions have gotten me further than I ever thought I would. I am so glad I found you and that you continue to teach. Thank you so much.

I painted the canvas with black for the first coat then I used Payne grey (very dark blue) . After I painted it I glazed it . Wow. Just wanted to thank you for Sharing your talent. Great teacher

The flat edge of liquid at the top is called the "miniscus" as you look at it horizontally, and is not completely flat but takes on a very subtle concave appearance (gravity).
Love it. Will try it. One observation is the white straight line on front of the glass just cuts off straight on the bottom. Is that supposed to be like that?
