  • This dish is perfect for football games, potlucks, or other gatherings as it's well loved by both low carbers and non low carbers.
    The original recipe is found at the blog: Foods I Make My Husband
    The link is here: blog.stuffimake...
    I changed the recipe only slightly to add more seasonings and additional pizza toppings.

    I've gotten behind on my "Keto with Kristie" videos! I work from home, so am watching/listening while working....I love the family atmosphere! My kids are grown and gone and I miss those fun times together! This sounds like a winner and I'll be trying it with my boyfriend's 13 year old son. I made the fathead pizza, but only added a few dollops of butter and mozzarella as topping and it was like a cheesy bread ( I think you said you and Grace may do something like that, too). He loved it, so next time we'll make it, together! A Win, since his dad is diabetic. Trying to sneak in those low carb foods ;) Thanks, as always, for your videos and all of the time you spend preparing, filming, editing and then responding to questions

    Can't wait to make these this weekend! I am loving your channel, and your family looks so wonderful, and yet so normal. LOL Totally appreciate all your time in sharing these videos with all of us! Thank you. :) Once in a while I see a negative comment, and I just want to affirm who you are and what your are doing positively in your life and for the glory of the Lord. You already know this, but. . .don't listen to the ugliness. Same goes for Miss Grace. Her very name means extending good toward those who don't deserve it - so she can ignore the uglies, as well. I love seeing her in these videos, and seeing her participate with you in moving the health of your family in a positive direction. Please tell her she is awesome!

    Keyboard input I know that this video is a little dated, but for anybody who can see this, silicone cupcake molds are perfect for these keto muffins. I love making the egg and bacon cheese ones for breakfasts. Freesm the great to just hit with microwave. And again, they do not come out of conventional pans whether or not they're Teflon coated or sprayed. Try the silicone you might be really really pleased

    Use porcelain muffin pans that you can buy from Amazon. They just pop right out without any sticking. I make low carb muffins all the time. I do spray it down with Pam or Spray Coconut oil. No sticking. Easy clean up.

    Grace looks slimmer and happy as always but who wouldn't be in your delightful house. I got inspired had some of that and made what I could w/what I had ( some breakfast sausage I really didn't like lol ) in the persnickety oven I have...what came out was pizza-ish smelling scramble smoosh. I'm trying a lil plate of it now...hmmm, me thinking it will get pawned off on the hubby as the meat in his pusketti sauce. LOL lol lo...my cooking should be outlawed...LOL...no reflection on ur recipes I muck up everything I cook. GB

    Strange question but I'm new to this. How much would you eat of this ? All or little. I don't know how much I should eat at each meal as like every dieter portion control is almost none existent ( lost) I can't wait to make these. I'm so loving your recipes.

    • @MikeErickson1082
      @MikeErickson1082 8 років тому +5

      +IsabellsNannyRuby I would add up the macros (fat, protein and carb content) for all of the ingredients you use, and go from there. Find a portion size that fits your goals/needs. Once you are in nutritional ketosis and fully adapted (a week or 2 for me usually) you will know exactly when you have eaten enough. Portion control becomes so easy when your leptin hormones and receptors are working properly. I usually feel full before finishing my meals, and won't want to take another bite. Check out reddit.com/r/keto and take a look at the information on the right side. The calculator will help you figure out how many calories you need based on your age, weight, BMI, etc.

      A Manzella.. I gained weight because of insulin resistance/diabetes...It's the sugar and carbs that causes it..Too much insulin on your blood makes your body store fat..I hardly eat and rarely ate junk food...Not all heavy ppl overeat all day, everyday..That is a common misconception..

I'm just not sure where I'm going from here. Best wishes to you as you find your path. I really believe that these things are just very individual. What works for one, may not work for another. I'm confident I'll figure it all out. :)

    • @kerinaperry1550

      Nancy Hemati - are you using myfitnesspal to track every single thing that you eat Nancy.? Thing is keto HAS to work for you the science behind it cannot work for some and not for others... its very important to establish a state of ketosis and maintain it for about 2 weeks before you eat over your 20 carbs a day (for your refeed day) and tracking in mfp will help significantly with this. certain foods like artificial sweeteners can also kick you out of ketosis so it's important to avoid those as much as possible. Good luck!! 😊

      A Manzella I have been eating Keto, very high fat, loads of calories for 9 months. Losing weight like crazy! The key to Keto for weightloss is to control insulin and fat has no insulin response. Check the science. If one wants to gain weight you have to eat high fat and high carb. That will pack on the pounds fast!
