I get what you mean but when you cook/bake regularly you are suppose to buy these things slowly. So one week. You buy vanilla the next you buy flour so you always have these things on hand when you need them.

Love this chef. Would love to see something like this with the budget limit from her for Christmas goodies like making Christmas cookie platters to give to neighbors, fruitcake (my family actually likes it but ingredients are expensive), Christmas ham meal. Or more generic occasion foods like appetizer spread, winter meal planning/portion control in lockdown, using basic staples to maintain a healthy diet during winter.

I have been making Thanksgiving dinner every year for 6 people for the last decade and never once spent more than $50 and we always had turkey, 3 sides, cranberry sauce, rolls, gravy, a desert and a big pot of spiced cider and always had leftovers. It is not difficult to do you just have to be willing to put the effort into making some things from scratch and knowing how to shop correctly. I never pay full price for anything and I buy everything at the beginning of the month and freeze things properly until the night before.

I hope they do more videos with this chef. She was funny, resourceful, and also kept things interesting. I also appreciate when chefs use store bought things and add to it since a lot of people might not always have the time or money to make everything from scratch.
