Yes , but I was referring to not accumulating any more plants . I’m limited in space. And common sense hasn’t seemed to mature with my age, so hence trying to be ruthless.
The very early spring frost has been abit detrimetnal to all of my early flowering stuff. Shame really but these still have numerous flower buds to open.
I don't have many flowing bonsai Xav, you got my mind a wandering so I have just ordered 5 off 30-45cm bare root Japanese Quince (Chaenomeles japonica) saplings.👍
to treat root gall....In many cases, existing galls can be removed with a sharp pruning knife. Destroy the infected plant tissue and treat the wound with pruning sealer. If the plant does not recover, remove and destroy it.
I wish it wasn't so: my silverberry had root gall. I stripped it all off at collection and then left it the first repot. It seemed to do better when I just left it. I have no idea. It was certainly alarming and it may eventually take the one i have from me. For now, the thing lives just fine with it.
I have oaks and apples that have had this gall for 4 or 5 years now and it hasnt killed them. I stopped trying to remove it in th end. I do think it slows growth though.
Lovely little Forsythia, i have what i thought was Forsythia in my garden but the bark looks quite different from yours and as a bush it has very long internodes and very little ramification. Maybe i can try some air layers?
In truth I have a 'go to' species guide from Graham Potter. he has a website called B4Me and his species guide is really good. I still refert o it every year and have never beeen let down.
Sangat cantik modelnya tapi saya penasaran dengan hasil selanjutnya kawan
Saya akan melakukan pembaruan ini di akhir tahun dan pasti ketika saya melakukan repot di Musim Gugur. Terima kasih telah menonton.
Glad to hear I’m not the only ruthless one on the planet.
Thanks Sharon - it is just a shame that all of this work takes place when there are no flowers to show off :(

I'm looking forward to seeing how these pop in the next month!
I left a few flower buds after my work so hopefully I can do a little spring show with all my flowering stuff :)
Some potentional there, Xav!
Definitely Kennet. the only shame is that we only ever show off our flowering stuff when they are normally not in bloom :)

Thank you - don't go back too far in my catalogue...it gets scary :)

Thanks for the advice - I have been ignoring it really but the truth is hard decisions have to be made for some of them this year :(

Nothing ventured...nothing lost :)
Sorry for delay Xavier.
Never apologise for that Martina - you actually have to work for a living :)
Mine did not survive winter 😢
I'm deeply offended about your comments on the exposed root style 😮🤣
I didnt realise you had some Jap Quince. Mine just sat out in the nursery beds all winter and did fine. I am generally offensive :)
Looking good Xavier. August repotting? What is it about them that calls for a fall rather than spring repot? Thanks, keep growing
