Tony's Bonsai Special: 1st Anniversay Memorial (Part 1)
One Year Ago, Tony Higginson died. Despite the relatively short period he was creating bonsai for his channel, his popularity grew quickly. He demonstrated a ‘No Nonsense’ approach- and was respected for it. Never afraid to challenge the established way of doing things - he will be remembered with a smile.
Today we celebrate this memorial anniversary by looking over some of the well-known Bonsai passed into my care. We also hear messages from his father John and see a few trees taken by Adam.

I was really drawn to Tony's videos. I got started in Bonsai at the beginning of July last year, a couple of months before we lost Tony. His passing was sad in that I'd only been watching him for such a short while. Anyone who found Tony couldn't help but be moved by his personality and motivated by his style. It makes me happy to see that he lives on through his family, friends, and trees. Wishing you and Tony's family the best! Oh, and the trees too. 😆

well you have caused me to lose my hobnob in my brew watching YOU, so enjoy your brew , great of you to do a dedication of one year for our friend Tony passing as you say god bless his soul. Watched his dad a couple of week ago going around the trees ,Tony excitedly planted the trees knowing very well he would not see the results I can’t imagine how he felt, he was always upbeat,That Notherfagus I would do what you suggested and cut it down to the lower growth, the trunk is too long and straight to be any use, or you could put some bends and movements in it if it doesn’t work it doesn’t matter but whatever you do get it out of the small pot and put it in a bigger pot, the zelkova looks so much better after pruning, you should get another flush of growth before autumn. I think I am back!! My friend look forward to the second video. All the best Xav.
