Nicely done. Look forward to seeing this tree in its new environment get vigor and established in its next phase of life as a bonsai!

Good luck with that beast Tom! It has real potential to be an impressive specimen in the future. Judging by the number of your tools it did in on the extraction, I'd take extra care to secure it in the pot thoroughly- for its well being, certainly, but for your own safety as well. It's bound to be in a bad mood losing to you in mano a mano horticulture! It's got some time to regather itself and come up with the perfect payback! Hopefully it won't take forty years to get to a show. But even if it does, that's forty years well spent. Just keep reassuring it you're only doing it out of love, and it should come along just fine!

Thank you for the kind comments. Yes, this heavy beast is well secured into its growing pot and off camera I had my son help hold it down while I was sawing it. I already see some growth popping on it! Unfortunately, healing factor on quinces are extremely slow so it will take some time before it will be show quality tree....but it will be one day.

Goodmorning Tom, great job on the korean quince just give it time. I have 4 cydonia oblonga 'vranja'in the backyard and they are slowly starting to flower for the first time after two years.

Very sweet Pre Bonsai Tree. Could you have Split the Main Trunk to make Two bonsai trees and just have the split trunk to heal ?

You can, however quinces does not heal over quickly enough.
