I loved this in the shop. After buying it, and started wearing, it, I just didn't like the look of the bracelet. I put it in the box for a year and hardly wore it. Then I decided to put it on a grey rubber strap and it's totally transformed. I don't want to take it off. And yes.... the lume is so bright, its nearly as good as the tritium in my Ball 'Fireman'.
I have this watched. I picked up here in the UK for less than £200 from an AD. I wouldn't have looked at it twice online, but it's just beautiful in the flesh. It's a great watch. Thanks for a great video, an excellent review!
Bought one for my old man for Xmas, liked it so much bought one for myself, I love it and just find myself staring at it, I bought the green dial version, it's my first proper watch, have some casios and a Sekonda watch, was looking at the 55 year anniversary Seiko but saw this and it was no contest 10:12
I have the eco drive in blue and you are so right about the size. Had to measure myself because i didnt believe it was a 44mm. Some defintite case magic going on here. Good review btw!
I would go for this but I just cant get used to the 8'oclock crown. Also, I have a Promaster Diver and the bezel (just like it is here) is difficult to rotate. I wish they would make a coin edge bezel for the PM line.
I understand what you're saying about the bezel. If it was coin edged it would be easier to rotate but this bezel design is now iconic. I doubt they will change. Just like the scalopped bezel on the omega seamaster. That bezel is iconic but very hard to rotate. The Fugu is much easier than the seamasters in comparison. 😂
I've had four NY series watches and fwo newer fugus. I've never had any QC issues, and it's never really mentioned on the forums. As much as I love Seiko, it's much more prevalent with that brand.
@@richc4349 I bought and returned 4 NY0040s from grey market vendors. All had serious misalignments, worse than any seiko I’ve seen. I also saw two fugus at the dealer in person and found both significantly misaligned. Believe me, you simply aren’t looking hard enough. Citizen’s qc is trash

I agree the lume is fantastic. It is so bright it reflects off the white dial

They wear small because of the tiny dial and the the fact that the bezel insert doesn't extend to the edge of the bezel.

I have the black dial version of this watch. Put it on an Uncle Seiko rubber strap and it is Perfection. Much nicer than my King Turtle.

I haven't had any issues telling time. I also have the Seiko samurai video with white dial. No problems telling time on either one.
Citizen’s qc is pretty bad. If you don’t believe me, check out the ny0040 series. Misalignment is the norm
