I'm going to pick up one of these for my brother in law, he's left handed and currently only owns fashion watches, but he has a bunch so I think we might have a collector in the wings. This looks like a good one and I know I love my Ecodrive Promaster Diver.
I like that Citizen is coming strong, releasing more updated colourways and dials. This one is fun with the yellow chaper ring. ♥ However I would like them to release updated straps as well for a better wearing experience. Would you kindly keep an eye out for the new upcoming 36mm Promaster eco-drive model EO2020-08E for a review?
Love the dial, color combo, and hand set. The left side crown, however functional, just kills it. But yeah, Citizen is making some good choices with their design language on their tool watches.
Great looking watch. Thanks for featuring Citizen divers. I have a few (auto and eco drive) and find them reliable and good looking. This one is a step up! Cheers!
The pattern on the face is the pattern of the sand on the ocean floor of a puffer fish nest. They make that pattern with there body and tail in the sand to attract mates. The textured Dial has a cool meaning, that's why there's a puffer fish on the back of the bezel.
Like others, I wish these were smaller. And there's a difference between "looks like" and "wears like" with respect to size (which Chris often notes). Due to the small dial area, these do look like 42mm, and a couple of dealers I visited thought they were 41mm. But they're still big, and they feel big to me. (At least the bracelet version with male end links. The strap version might not feel so large.) I might buy one anyway, but the size is a turnoff, as is the clasp on the bracelet versions, which has only two microadjust positions. But they look great, and the quality is very high.
Great video. I really like this watch with this dial and colorway. I do wish Citizen kept the old size of the NY0040 watches but I need to try one of these. Did you say what the lug width was? 20 or 22mm?
Mate, it wears really well, you can tell the difference, but only slightly, its an unbelievable watch, the strap is better ,bezel action is better than the ny0040, I'm over the moon with it😀
Great review and may purchase this model. Does the lume stay strong through the night ie can still read it as I heard it faded quickly and was not legible
favorite watch . hour hands has the fatness that my visually impared eyes can see easily. Hour hand reaches close to the hour markings making hour placement easy to see, and Minute hand is obvious and distance and obvious longer than hour hand which makes it even easier to read as a whole. 9/10 . On problem with it is that if unused in a while the date goes to Spanish days and then gets stuck on those Spanish days after winding them up again.... If it was Spanish only days then no one would buy the watch , so why even put it in ???
Looks like every other citizen diver just with a tacky crapy dial that looks like textured plastic. And 550 for the most basic myota movement. No for me.
i ordered a yellow one from, jared the galleria, for 405$ shipped! .had a hard time deciding between the blue and yellow but chose the yellow for the minute hand.
Bought this exact model/colour last week. Love it and hope it lasts as long as my last Citizen dive watch.
This channel is definitely one for the enthusiastic. Unique watches and great brands featured. Thank you Chris!
👍👍👍 Nice Watch 👍👍👍
Great review! The sapphire crystal and upgraded movement make this one a no brainer!
Just found this watch whilst browsing the net for citizen divers and up pop's this video, brilliant 😊

I have this watch with a red bezel and also a 41mm Citizen Challenge Diver, and they really wear the same. Love Citizen.
I wish they kept older dimension of 42mm width instead of going with 44mm,then it’d be perfect dive watch, citizen divers are criminally underrated
Yep. I would own one if they hadn't sized it bigger. I have no idea why they did that.
I own one and it's strange but does wear smaller, as other reviewers have noted. Almost more like a 42mm.
Very nice. Wish it was a bit smaller for my not very big wrist.

Está a otro nivel muy llamativo
Best value watch I've seen in a long while
Bought one today from The Bay in the Labor Day sale for $317 Canadian (about $230 USD) and I’m super happy with it! Love the yellow!

My promaster watch has phenomenal lume! Citizen is underrated!
Awesome cover! Awesome watch :)
subcribed because i love CITIZEN. it's a undervalued watch brand.
This is iconic Fugu not some bumblebee!!
For anyone who likes Citizen watches I advise you to wait a little longer until eco 365 will be aveliable.
What’s the eco 365?
Hi. When will it be released?

A black NATO strap with a thin yellow stripe down the center of it would look sharp on this watch IMO. 👌

Imagine this watch with the crown at the right, longer minute hand and complete Bessel coinage, would have been perfect.

Wow 💪💪💪
Anyone know where I can buy this and what the exact model number designation is. I LOVE IT !!!!!
Not bad at all … and the price is right
Kelp I love that. Colouring is killer. To be honest 44 mm is a little scary. Gotta try one on though. Cheers mate.
44mm is too big. Sad because this is a great colourway. I own multiple citizens from the NY0040 series, they used to be 42mm and wear like 40 - ideal.
I always wonder why they can't offer a 9000 series for this price but micro brands can for $400 or so.
Too bad i m NOT a fan out of angled crown... Promaster a great series from CITIZEN. Banzai!
Citizen makes great watches unfortunately I can't afford one but if I had a chance to I'd take a closer look at this model over most
citizen should make 39mm to 42mm with 9k series movement.
Citizen > Seiko for build quality.
44mm is large no matter how it wears.

I bought one years ago Pepsi bezel only paid $189 . It's a great watch but the crown on mine is slick & hard to screw down .
You mean “crown “, not “bezel “
@@e28forever30 Thanks ✊
