    You must have read my mind. I have a Kawasaki Z1000SX and looking at this for my next steed. The lean is about right off the stand. I’m a similar size 5’8’ with a 30in inseam and this bike feels top heavy and tall. Mind you lots of options for low seat and even a lowering kit. I think crash bungs would be a must in case you have a driveway getaway fro this thing. Looks like a GS for those who don’t want engine clatter. Nice 👌👍 great review.

    Thanks, Dan, for the first impressions review. I'm getting a new scooter next year (unless the world comes to an end) and the XR is on the short list. My other considerations are the S1000R, Triumph Speed Triple, and the Yamaha MT-10. I currently own and ride a '99 BMW K1200LT I named Big Betty. She's a great motorbike, but at 64 yo I'd like something lighter and maybe a touch sporty while I can still ride well enough. Looking forward to your next posting.

    Not to split hairs but BMW were very careful to state that the new model is 10Kg lighter than the old model, as long as the old model had the pannier carrying frames and some other "typical" accessories fitted (the new model has the pannier frames built in). The weight loss is a bit lower otherwise.
    Also the vibes are actually affecting the image on your 360 camera at certain revs... the same issue is why I've accepted that I can't fit cameras to the 'bars of my S1000R (or a phone for that matter)

    • @Englishbikerdan
      @Englishbikerdan  4 роки тому +1

      The vibes happen on most IL4 bikes with the 360 camera using that mount. Just one of those things as Motorcycles vibrate.

  • @gallagher4141
