- In this review we’re going to be taking a look at the Ruger, LCP 380. And put some rounds through this Little Pistol. And See how it is going to perform for accuracy and reliability. So click on this video and let’s go out to my little mini range and have some fun. 👍👍👍
Ruger Lcp 380 in Ohio a 63 year old lady was about to be robbed at gun point, fired 3 shots even though one may have did it, was successful, never under estimate a 380 or a small gun, he didn't see it on her so a bad day for him but she did what she had to do, thank God for the 2nd amendment, never know if you will ever have to use that right to carry defending your life, I got a Ruger Lcp my self, still one of the best guns to look unarmed but still be armed
after listening to your review, i went and got one, its seems like a great little pistol, light weight, easy to use, fits in pocket just right, at my age (75) just needed a little extra. thanks again for your video
You are most welcome my friend. For the money, they are hard to beat. I want to thank you for watching. You take care and have a great evening.👍👍👍👍
I actually have the Ruger LCP2 in 380, great little pistol, nicer trigger than the original and it locks back on the last round. Great for pocket carry.
I have owned my LCP for ten years. The only things I have done is replace the take down pin, just because it has been known to fail and I bought a 7+1 mag from Ruger that gave me a little longer grip. Surprisingly accurate at 15 yards.
Good night my friend. The good thing about his videos is that he likes all the weapons, he never complained about any of them. Congratulations on always being in a good mood. God bless the Americas 🇧🇷🤝🇺🇲🙏
FYI: This model of the LCP is not designed to hold open on the last round (the LCP II will), but it’s otherwise an excellent EDC. I’ve had mine for about 10 years & never experienced a malfunction w/any kind of ammo. I use a Hogue rubber slip on grip & the factory 7 round mag to help w/my XLG hands. Over time I’ve p/u five extra factory mags so range time is not so much of a struggle. I pocket carry in a DeSantis pocket holster, a bit better than the one supplied by Ruger.
Thanks for the info, my friend. Just found this comment. Somehow missed it. I really appreciate you sharing your experiences with the LCP 380. I want to thank you for watching. You take care and have a wonderful day. 👍👍👍👍👍
I have a few 100 rounds through mine with various types of hollow points and range ammo. My LCP is a great reliable firearm never had a single malfunction and I can shoot a paper plate at 10 or 15 yards consistently, I've even stretched out to 20 yards and make good shot placement, I did upgrade to the aluminum Mcarbo trigger and granulate talon grips but I kept all the springs stock because I don't want to reduce reliability on a primer strike, I love my LCP and it would be the last gun I ever get rid of. I have it on me 24/7. I have the factory 6 round magazines and the factory 7 round magazines which I highly recommend. I use a 68 grain extreme defender ammunition from underwood ammo the function great and pack a serious punch for a 380 i suggest checking out some ballistic videos with that specific 380 ammo in a short barrel pistol. I train with mine at minimal once per month and it's a great shooter.
I love my lcp. I have the all black model and carry a spare mag. Most comfortable gun I've ever carried. Highly recommend.
They arent very accurate though unless you are close range
Mine was accurate up to 20 yards.@@robertkilpatrick3572
Thanks for the great video Al..it's worth it to spend more and get the LCP MAX 380...4 more rounds. Great trigger
Nah, you buy the lcp to get as micro as possible. Anything more, just go to 9 and get a p365 or shield.
Had mine for 10+ years now and love it. Mine has always shot about 4" low at 7yds, but I allow for that. Mine came with the original plastic trigger that would pinch your finger on reset. Replaced it with a aftermarket aluminum flat trigger that is adjustable for over-travel and re-set. The aftermarket Pro-Mag 10 round magazines work flawlessly in mine as does the factory 7 rd offering. Keep up the good work Al.
Thanks for the video. I had an LPC 2 for a while, but didn't care for it. Just recently bought the standard LPC and love it. I know some folks don't care for the double-action trigger, but I find it to be a good shooting, accurate little pistol, particularly in 7 - 5 yard defensive ranges.
I heard that my friend. It’s basically what we’re comfortable with. Is what we should be carrying and shooting. That way you can be as accurate as possible if every situation should occur. I personally like the double action also. I want to thank you for watching. You take care and have a wonderful weekend.👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome video. Ide recommend lookin into getting a 7+1 round factory ruger magazine. The little extra length makes it so much better to grip and you dont lose hardly any of its compactibility. Ive also heard alot of people saying how good the "hogue grips" are for these, but havent tried the grip myself yet.
Alright ... were back to shooting & guns. I have the LCP2, and it is a tiny but great pistol ... that .380 looks like it could be a great carry gun too. You showed the importance of knowing your gun & what ammo works best. I always found the .380 to be jumpy in my hand ... hard to grip. Thanks for being out on the range again.
How’s it going my friend these little pocket pistols are surprisingly accurate but you’re right being so little and light it does have a little 🤜 to it. I hope all is well with you, my friend you take care and have a wonderful day. It’s always a pleasure.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏
I'm seriously considering acquiring either the LCP Max and/or the LCP II 22 for a pocket backup to my Max-9. Thanks for the video and keep shooting my friend 👍😊.
Thanks for the video, I bought my Lcp 380 back in July when Florida past the concealed carry law, I'm 65 and weight is 155 lbs. the 380 fits my size without being visible, so far no issues, if you combine it with the proper ammo it's a good bang for the buck for a small compact
I have the LCP 3 with an extended mag. 9 total capacity. Fits the hand really well with extended mag insert.
Nice! Just picked up the lcp2 myself.
Nice pistols. Have the LC9s which can be a handful with some rounds. The LCP 380 are fun to pull the trigger on. If only 380 ammo would drop back down in price to 9mm prices.
I don't want it to lock open on last round. It tells that you're empty. I would like to ask the assailant "Did I fire 6 rounds or 7? Do you feel lucky punk?" 😁
I have the same one ,the new standard lcps have the same extractor as the lcp max now, mine has functioned with everything i have put through it ,i bet i put at least a dozen different hp through it also hardcast flat nose underwood ,i put the hougue grip on mine ,good lil pocket gun.
I carry an LCP max 380 , love it ! I have it in a kidex holster from Alabama holster and it doesn't print to bad and covers the trigger and mag release good. Thanks for the video Al !
You got the LCP with the improved trigger, before the LCP 2 came out. I have the exact same model. I did add the Ruger 7 round mag and Hogue grip and that gives a little more secure feel to the grip. Very nice for concealed carry or back up. Excellent fire arm.
I have a LCP MAXX. Love it!! ❤
Good evening CW. This was a pretty little impressive pistol. I think I’m going to like it. 👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏
Another Great gun , Another GREAT video pard ..🤠👍👍
I have 1 I carry it every day.
a great very interesting video and pistol Mr.the weather seems kinda nicer than in LA.have a good one Sir.
I really enjoyed the video. Ive been looking for a nice little pocket gun to carry when my regular edc is too bulky or not appropriate in some situations. I went to my local gun shop and ordered this exact one today. Looking forward to this little handgun. Keep up the good work! Subscribed!
I want to thank you for subscribing to the channel. Sorry, it took so long to get back to you running way behind. A great little pistol for the money. I really appreciate you watching. You take care and have a wonderful night.👍👍👍👍👍
I really enjoyed your video and am glad to have come across your channel. Thank you for the down to earth review on the LCP
Thank you I really appreciate that. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Running way behind. I want to thank you for watching. You take care my friend and have a wonderful day👍👍👍👍👍
Makes an great EDC. A sweet looking pistol Al. Thanks so much!! 👍👍🙏
How’s it going my friend. This little pistol was surprisingly accurate. Got a little punch to it. But not bad. I thank you for watching my friend. Take care and have a wonderful day. It’s always a pleasure.👍👍👍👍
I have the same gun plus the updated standard version and a 75th anniversary LCP MAX.... I love my LCPs!! 😍👍👍
I’ve never had an issue out of a Ruger pistol. For the most, I have found them accurate and reliable. I really appreciate you watching. You take care and have a wonderful night.👍👍👍👍👍
Great little backup gun. Thanks Al!
Thank You for sharing, good info.
You are most welcome. Thank you for watching. You take care and have a great day.👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice review! I was hoping you had a review on this one! 👍👍💥
The LCP is the best pocket rocket. Mine has never had a malfunction in 16 years. They do not lock back on last round
good shooting. i never shot an lcp but have an lcp2 that is a great little gun. i have a keltec 3at which is what ruger copied and it shoots well but pinches my finger like its big brother, the p11. the p32 is sweet.
Al very good video, Good shooting for a short barrel !!!
always like it. I have not gone out and gotten my carry license yet. Too much money here in MD
Ruger LCP and a Sticky holster I carry almost always. A man with his hand in his pockets is a normal sight. A 380 might not be one’s battle preference, but I hope it gets me time to get to that piece. Lol. Like Kenny Rogers in the movie surrounded by several and he had a derringer. Enemies laughing that he only has two shots and he asked two of ya willing to take one. Lol
Good video What part of Kentucky are you in.
The seven round magazines really fit the hand well. They are available from Ruger.
I carry 7 in mine with one in the chamber. The holster is the safety. They are small and snappy in the hand. They aren't meant to be accurate at distance. I have the original model but with a good serial number. The first batch had problems with going off when it was shocked like in dropping.
Nice… I have the LCP2… the slide locks open after last round.
Good morning Old Mate.
Just in time for a coffee and video 😊
I been thinking... what do you think of my idea about starting a Water Pistol channel for us Aussies....😊
I could test all water pistols, legal available
and test various types of ammo ( coloured waters, etc)
So Old Mate, what do you think? 😊😊😊
Funny idea, be creative
The slide on the lcp doesn’t lock back on the last round I bought one 10 years ago and carry it everyday
Very cute gun.
👍thanks for sharing
Nice little pocket option
Those little LCP/LCPll pistols are the blue ribbon standard for concealment 👍
Had one yrs back always went bang
I have been looking for a ruger to teach my 15 year old granddaughter daughter but never liked those triggers that had safety lever on the trigger I like skeleton trigger can you tell the model or where I could get one thx for your time
🤠Mount the ArmaLaser TR2G for Ruger LCP Super-Bright Green Laser on that Ruger LCP 1 and have fun. Extremely accurate at 12 meters. Amazon about 150ish plus Laser Pocket Holster MADE IN U.S.A to accommodate it, 16 bucks..
What's your opinion on the Taurus g2s
In my opinion, for the money. They are hard to beat I have found them to be reliable little Pistols. I want to thank you for watching. You take care and have a wonderful evening👍👍👍👍👍
Yeah read the manual
Sorry AL but that gun is junk. I bought brand new about 4 years ago RUGER LCP 380.ACP just one jam after jam sent it back to RUGER TWICE and still jam o manic. I used it as a trade in for another gun at my local pawn shop. WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER RUGER LCP 380.ACP NEVER!!!
That's a shame. Mine has never jammed once in over a thousand rounds through it, even using cheap aftermarket magazines.. My brother has two that have been just as reliable.
I heard that my friend. This one’s doing pretty good. But it’s a new version. And now I have put about 150 rounds through it without any issues. And for the effort for the most. But I guess we get some bad ones every now and then. That just have a lot of issues. Don’t know the reason why but we do But I understand why you wouldn’t want another one I don’t like a gun that jams I want to be able to depend upon it it’s always a pleasure, my friend You take care and have a great day👍👍👍👍
Have you tried different ammo? I shoot sellier and bellot ammo, 300 plus rounds letter, not a single jam
Mr Sadler.. I think you got a lemon, unfortunately. I understand how you feel, but I have had 4 different LCP versions and have never had a problem. I traded in the oldest LCP on the MAX. Best regards 👍
This thing is with me all the time. So comfortable
