Thank you again for this serie. I just love the combination that you propose, and how you describe the ink at the beginning. And i have this color which i was not even planning to try before watching your videos. Obviously i tryied it, actually with some blue and it work well also. Thanks for the inspiration, it's really really a great video & serie.
Thanks so much for these videos. I only have about 1/3rd of the oxides, mostly the older ones so I really appreciate your demo of the similar colors. Perhaps one day I’ll get all the colors!!
It's taken my three years, buying one or two/month, but I'm finally there. Very satisfying for someone with "Full Set Syndrome" Lol. Good luck with your collection.
It was a revelation to me last week when someone mentioned that the colour of the pad was on the front corners! Mostly they’re pretty accurate although this one is a bit different. Tea dye would make a good skin tone!
Another great combination ... loved the little giggle when you said 'a bit of a masciline tone, something deep and moody' lol ! not sure about deep bit but definitely moody 😂 Than you Lou x
I noticed you had separate brushes for each shade. I keep a different brush for each colour family, one for blues one for greens etc. I only have a few oxides, mostly my inks are pigment or dye. Is it wise to use separate brushes for oxide inks, I have noticed that they seem to be more creamy?
I have found that when I mix oxides and inks together the bristles can go a bit stiff for some reason. This is why I keep a brush for each colour in the oxides. I use inks a lot less, so I have brushes for colour families there 😊
Kathy, Tim Holtz has a great video explaining this. In short, ink can go into Oxide, but oxide shouldn't go into ink. Some crafters mix the 2 and "nothing blows up" 😂😂 however, the "plain" ink is contaminated with an additional component and it can alter the ink.
I printed the swatch sheet its super helpful and than you for putting it up for all to download and print
Yes, I love the 4 combo especially!
Another wonderful video in this useful series. Thank you Lou.
Thank you so much for taking the time to show all of us newbies to Distress Oxides!! Your instruction and tips are so helpful.
Love these combos, but then, I've always loved anything in the brown family.❤
I love that 4 colour combination. The 3 is good too as black soot makes it interesting. Thank you.
My absolute favourite colours, thank you Lou, great demo xxx
Frayed Burlap is my favorite color. Especially in the Oxide Spray. Used as a Splatter. O.M. goodness! Its Magical! 😮❤

Very helpful comparisons, and combinations I would not have thought of that are very pretty and useful, TY!! 🧑🏼🎨😀
