I adore this series. I love blending all these beautiful colors. Thanks for doing this. Now, Why is plaid pronounced plad? Because it's not English - it's from the Gaelic word for blanket. According to Gaelic pronunciation, "ai" in old Irish is a short 'a' as in gather. The Scottish pronounce it so that it rhymes with maid, that is nowadays. The Irish had a huge influence on American English. That's why we say plad.

One of my biggest disappointments with the Distress brand is that they really don't have a true red color ink, most have an orange tint. I had to go outside the brand to find one and there are plenty to choose from.
