Thanks so much for this series. I love color and it's fascinating to see how your choices blend and contrast with one another. The comparisons with similar colors is very helpful also! You make it look so easy, but I know your beautiful blends takes practice.
This is such a useful series of videos, and I do appreciate the comparison between colours - it's so difficult to tell when ordering them online. Just wish this had been available before I bought Festive Berries as well as Candied Apple..... I found your channel through Chris Stokes who recommended your tutorial on a mixed media card, and very glad I did!
Another great, helpful DO video, TY!! Interesting to see the difference on the black cardstock for sure, altho I rarely use it. Great tip about the ink case cover and the colors at the corners, never heard that, or noticed, before! 🧑🏼🎨😀🌺
Hi Lou! Enjoying this series - great content creation idea! Looking through my D.O. reds I see I don't have Fired Brick. Right now, seems like I don't *need* it - well, that is until you post a video about it. Then I'll *have* to have it! Tim & Ranger should pay you a commission - after your series is done I will have purchased EVERY D.O. color! Much 💛🧡❤!
I love that you are doing this, It is very useful. I'm working backwards, but you have made me look at some of my greys and browns differently. I have a better understanding of what colors go together. Thank you for doing this.
I find your comparisons very helpful, especially with all these reds. I have quite a few oxides but still loads to get. You doing the comparisons has shown me that so many are very similar... so dont need them all. Omg did i actually say those words? Lol Thank you again Lou for a wonderful series x
Ty so much for all the videos. The comparisons are SO HELPFUL, as being on a limited budget, I don't want to buy similar colours. I bought Salty ocean and Mermaid Lagoon and found them nearly the same! So this series of combinations etc is the best series I've found to help me with my buying. As you've mentioned, you can't tell by just looking at the covers because Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon 's covers look different but when you open them and use them they are so similar! I've been trying to find a true red, and this video I found it- Lumberjack Plaid. I've got Candied Apple and as you said in the video featuring it, it has an orange tint to it. Anyway thanks so much again.xx
I've just found your videos. Thank you for these blending ideas, this is definitely something I need help with. Will now do some binge watching to see the previous videos.
I was just about to ask the same. Glad I checked comments first 😊... i love tattoos, got 11 myself but really want a fairly open half sleeve . You'll have to show us some of your ink Lou... we'll, the ones in places you can show lol
@@paula-xmoonlitfaeryx haha, I think I can pretty much show most of them, but this is the first that can’t always be covered up. My whole spine is done, my lower back and right shoulder, my left forearm and left thigh, right foot, behind my ear, collarbone, tummy…I think that’s all 😆 My back was done in quite a few stages though, ‘tramp stamp’, lower back, upper back then middle spine. I’m going to bring these vines down around my back and into my left thigh tattoo eventually too, to join them all up x
@Paper Crafting with Lou Collins wow you've got lots too. I like the idea of the vines joining everything. It will look fab when done. I've got back of neck plus 4 on back. Right inner wrist, right thigh, right bottom of leg (just above ankle), left bottom of leg , right chest up to shoulder, and top left arm (want covered with half sleeve as 1st one i had and its horrid) I'd have more on legs but I've been told no more because of health problem😞 she didn't say no more anywhere else though haha x
By showing all colors in same family, I can cross Festive Berries off my "want" list as I already have Candied Apple. Thank you for saving me a bit of change.😉 My hubby thanks you too😂
I downloaded your labels and swatch sheet as i have a lot of oxides now im in the process of labelling the inks my brushes and collecting the oxides i dont have
Thank you so much for these videos on Distress color combinations. I like the comparison with colors from the same family and color combinations.
Thanks Lou. I do enjoy seeing the comparisons since I'm unable to purchase all the colors, so thank you

Your comparisons of the 'different reds is definitely helpful!
Great combo. Thanks for swatching this on black cardstock too. It totally changed the colors.
Thank you so much for this series. It is very helpful.

Very helpful because I'm trying to decide what inks to buy! Thank you!

Thanks again. I love these videos. I don't have Tea Dye but it is a lovely colour, I think would look great with my favourite dried marigold.

Love it!!
Fab series Lou. Personally I don't like Dusty Concord in the 4 colours but it is good to see x
Another amazing video. Am I spying a new tattoo peaking out of your sleeve?😮😊
Well spotted! I had a vine tattooed around my arm down from an existing tattoo on my shoulder recently but it needs shading before it’s finished 😊

What would you use for layering a poinsettia? Three color combo?
