David Butcher was my English and Form teacher at Kirkley High School 1979-1982...I saw him do a presentation at the Parcels Office at the Heritage Open Days this year, and he greeted me by name and asked how my eldest sister was...it was nearly 40 years since he last saw me. An amazing teacher and one of the town's gems. Great video.
Wow I came across this video by chance..David Butcher was my English teacher at Alderman Woodrow School later named Kirkley High School..1971..fond memories of that time...:)
I did a bike about week with Mr butcher my teacher in about 1985 a lovely man and pleasure to know.
David was my teacher too - and sounds exactly the same! `really enjoyed this video.
